It’s just a different era. People love Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi because they were amazing experiences in terms of bringing Dragonball to life in a fighting video game. Budokai for the 2.5D traditional fighter space and Tenkaichi for the 3D arena fighter space. FighterZ is a great title, an ArcSys fighter that is arguably on par or better than some of the finest work they’ve done. But that doesn’t mean it’s without issue, because of the precedents that have been set with DBZ games and because it was rife with transaction based DLC, which just didn’t exist when those pivotal DBZ games were coming out. The further we progress, the more critical we become. DBZ: KAKAROT for instance, I found it to be pretty bad. It’s impressive visually but the choices made as far as mechanics and gameplay design, they’re amateur at best, and they speak to a willful ignorance in terms of what people wanted. They marketed an open world RPG, Legacy Of Goku in 3D, and instead they released a DBZ walking simulator that dumps you into a fighting game phase for any sort of combat. People want to freely fight and use ki, not jump into some weird arena fighting game phase just to do something interesting. Would I have been impressed twenty years ago? Probably. But this isn’t then. It’s pretty sad when Dragonball Z: Sagas (notoriously not a great game) accomplished more with free, open combat than KAKAROT.

And we already have a SSJ Goku. It would be cool if there is a Dramatic Finish where Cooler defeat Goku with Supernova and another one where Goku defeat Cooler sending him to the Sun.

Well you also have to take on count that in order to make these scenes they need to not only use the assets but also deform them to make something better like what we see. I think they wanted to use the most iconic moments that any Dragon Ball fan would know

The only one that seems a bit fair is Vegito Vs Gogeta. But they would have to do it like gogeta 4 Vs gogeta blue. It would take a lot of time to animate the endings + the maps

@@taaaaaaae i mean, Gogeta Blue defeated broly, and according to the game (and Super hero) SSJ4 Transformation is as strong as SSJB, but there's also SSJ4 Limit break (that in DB heroes, Goku xeno used to face UI Goku), that is really strong

I think it's been said that Full Power Ssj4 is around the level of ssj god. It must also help that since it's been 10 years or so after the buu saga, everyone is much stronger in their base form. you could say in a sense that ssj god is the equivalent of using roids. You skip 10 years worth of training and get skinnier which is honestly such a cool thing. It also doesn't help that ssj4 gogeta has red hair while regular ssj4 doesn't, idk if that confirms that gogeta has god ki but maybe it could be from fighting against Omega. I think Omega was around multiversal level because he was using negative energy to destroy the universe by simply existing. So I think to sort this power level thing out I'd say ssj4 is close to ssj god level, gogeta ssj4 is ssj god level. and Omega is too if not slightly weaker. This is just a theory btw

Not even just the bad lip sync, the English dialogue itself is just so awkward. Some lines either sound rushed or have long pauses in between sentences. Hopefully the next game fixes this issue

You need to beat your opponent with a heavy attack on a specific stage and with specific characters, example: with you beat DBS Broly with Gogeta Blue on Destroyed Namek with a heavy attack you'll get a Dramatic finish
