I completely agree with Roshi being here, but I will not lie, I had fun with him when he came out. The constant spam of blue cards was very entertaining Same with the green Gohan, I really enjoyed that unit when he came out, even if he was obviously subpar 😅
I'm coming in defense of kahseral, I'm aware that there are better options, but I'm here to say that those options aren't wayyyyyyy better. In 5th anni even though I've been playing since release, I started getting serious about pvp around then, but as a f2p I didn't end up getting ultra hit and so my uni rep team was stuck with kahseral. I was surprised at how useful having him was, the 10% team heal on the green card came in pretty handy on top of extending combos with a strike, and might I add he was doing kinda nutty strike damage on top of his bleed. And less of a factor but still something to note, the fact that not many people played him or bothered to remember his abilities meant that in the rare instances in which he was last man standing, people half the time forgot about his last man standing endurance effect and I came back a good amount of times. Definitely don't think he's number 2.

The green Gohan, as someone who runs mono purple, if he’s on the right team he’s scary af, I had all type advantage against him, GoFrieza, ugb, and ui sign, he tanks so much, I made sure my soul boosts were correct afterwards and they were, the right equips were on, it took me I think more than 100 timer counts to finally get him low enough for the ultimate cause the player wasn’t all too good and got a forfeit but god damn, I’m still scared of that situation happening again 💀
- Eighter’s issue is that Droids was blast based while he’s strike based and DB Saga is okay - Green Gohan def shouldn’t be on the list. Every hybrid main I’ve seen gasses this unit up and high stars, he’s one of the more bulky units but it’s rare to see him at higher stars. - The rest def should be on this list
Green Gohan 100% belongs on this list. I still dont get why people say otherwise. This is THE meta for that Gohan. There are no purples anywhere and he STILL isnt used. I have a 10 star, arts boosted Gohan and he contributes ZERO to most matches. His kit is poorly designed and makes no sense. Half of his buffs go away after 60 counts. Then he gets buffs when you have a dead ally. By the time your ally is dead, this Gohan will have no HP because his role is to eat hits. He has hardly any disrupt, his damage is terrible, his main has good tools but it gives you no ki or health, and its not useful all the time, he has barely any support, 15% is nothing. He is a premium color and has premium tags and no one uses him. Im top 2k in pvp and since he dropped, I have fought 1. I didnt even fight a single on launch. He sucks.

I think Trunks shouldn't be here while he isn't as good as Zamasu he was an insanely good replacement if you were missing him. An alternative rather than a actual replacement in his case. I'd say the same for Gohan.
Seeing Master Roshi as the worst character in the game is just sad. Like, i wouldn't have minded if Kid Goku was only considered "good", instead of insane, if buff Master Roshi was a great character in exchange

I'd say Android 8 could get more value with a specific team for him. He can do a lot of damage with help of Magenta without zenkai buff, and with Zenkai Yel Perfect Cell these 2 can make hella stuff. But as you said, 8 just doesn't have some attention because there are WAY better options and his strike stats are pretty low for a melee character, but can be a very good second option in movies.
I actually love the purple trunks personally I would love to have him at 7 stars because I think he’s a good unit to have for future if you don’t have zamasu or sword of hope trunks
I use that GRN Gohan and PUR Trunks a lot and I do agree with them being in the top 5 worst releases this year. Trunks was ok when he released but then I coudn't use him anymore after UVB dropped. As for that GRN Gohan, I would say he does okay on Hybrids right now next to RED Beast but his only role on the team is to protect Beast from BLU units and buff his damage. Which I will admit, after GRN Gohan takes a combo, RED Beast does a stupid amount of damage. However his disrupt is not good at all. His card cost increase shoud've been longer and it'd be better if had some effects of his main ability on cover change like the Rush seal and card destruction. And as a defensive unit without special cover change, endurance, Ki reduction, card destruction etc. that has to wait 60 counts for Card draw speed and damage, he's not nearly good enough to face the meta charachters. His only purpose is to eat hits, and at this stage of the game that's not enough.
You might be the only person on this thread explaining the issues with that Green Gohan. He's a defense character that has bad disrupt. So what is the point of using him? His kit is just so poorly designed and it will age worse as the new year starts

They are really really good, but for God's sake there is no usable green. Green LF Trunks is Janemba's plaything. Goku UI even at high stars literally doesn't scare me, but even a 5* Janemba alone is enough to make me forfeit. Why the h3ll they don't release at least usable characters for every different color?

kinda sad that several of these were DB characters after they waited for years 💀. guess thats why they got that busted equip (but still never really get ran).
Yea they did a much better job overall with the game this year. Only three units were actually mid this year. And personally I would put eighter higher and capehan as one of the 2-3 best regular sparkings of the year. Fat gotenks isn’t bad but I’d probably have him close to making this list

The number 4 spot I have ONLY had problems when it was far higher star level (like 6~7 stars more than my character) and built defensively. But I can count on one hand how many times I've fought him.
I actually ran purple trunks with blue beast and pan on hybrids. Team worked very well back then because rose being fucking everywhere didn't have instant access to cover null, so 4 combo's could be stopped pretty effectively and it was hard to rush with beast there as well. But after gofrieza he became instantly useless since he can't take a hit for the life of him even though he can nuke rose to the next dimension. Instead opted to run yellow jiren then on leader slot and just miss out on some of the pure damage since he was an actual wall.
Heavy disagree with kahseral, as someone who doesn't have ultra hit and a 14 star kahseral I think he's been performing perfectly fine as a 2nd offensive option, but that's just my opinion.
@@SteackDeLamasticot I don't think that is the case. I think it's more that people prefer to run Red UI over Kahseral even in top rank. Edit: Goresh's explanation of Kid Green Gohan also applies to Kahseral. With Yellow UI taking over the meta and appearing in most games, people are playing more Reds. Which is why there are an influx of Hit and Red UI in the meta. Yet, no one uses Kahseral despite UR being a Top 3 team.
Until red beast this year's hybrid releases were pretty bad. The trunks wasn't that useful on hybrids. Gohan & krillin were good but should have been a sparking. Red glasses gohan was decent but really was just a more offensice pan. Green Gohan should have been had a few flaws. I use him in treasure battle because I was waiting for ssj gohan from the cell saga. He should have stayed defensive and not tried to switch (poorly) to a more offensive build. He should have been able to destroy a dragonball multiple times through cover change not just once. He should of had a bit more disrupt besides increasing cost such as card destruction, ki reduction, card draw speed down....something. He definetly should have had endurance. Lastly his main ability kind of sucks. The rush lock is not something that should be attached to a main ability. Needed to be something that activated like vegito blue on cover change. Vanish restore is always nice though.

Yo android 8 and green gohan on this list is insane the sweater trunks is debatable but he literally gets a blue card on hit has a saving cover change and has an ultimate that restore gauge if im not wrong. Then gohan is a tank and then android 8 is a beast
My top worst summonable characters were all 2023 year of summons got shafted through the year beside legends fest. I had struggle pvp with mono purple because best character I had UGB and legends fest characters. I also had powerful opponent team and they can't keep up with the meta so I lost almost match until legend fest of 2023.
if android 17 did not exist the landscape of the meta throughout 2023 would have been so different. This shows how important it is to design characters well for a new tag. 17 essentially is the backbone of unireps.
i will say, for the cover rescue, the few times its really viable is when you have LF 17 and Android 21 green on your team. When 17 cancels my opponents abilities, it gives 21 the chance to save him, those two are a fun pair to use as well.
Cape gohan isnt that bad, he has good defenses with his heal after every enemy card and also support i believe, vanish on main etc. Mainly because of his good defenses i wouldnt put him there.
Seeing Ptp Buff Roshi on this video brought me back to some dark times. Remember back during the dragonball campaign and I was praying, BEGGING, for the PEAK that could’ve been Ultra Master Roshi But then they gave us funny blue card man, who doesn’t even do that much blue card damage, and I’m gonna blue card Toshi for it..
I still use that roshi from time to time and get wins with him he is bad I won’t like but when u catch a mf with his main and get the kill it’s so satisfying to get his win screen
I would argued in today's meta a Defense units needs to have uncancelable Endurance/Revival/or Indestructibility. Units hit too hard to rely on a raw tanking and card destruction and ki reduction are becoming less reliable. Even Yellow Jiren had stuff to keep him safe like removing buff effects, although I would argue he aged quicker than he should have because he lacks Endurance. Which is why no one cares for Green Gohan. Not helping that Fat Gotenks does his role, but better.
Android 8 was a very good unit for me paired with LFkidgoku. His blue would obliterate units and his blast attack (I’m always going for blast builds) was nice. Now he just makes a good support unit if you have him beefed up. I don’t have any good zenkai units atm and I actually just replaced him as a support unit.
It's a good sign for the game that people are arguing for some of the worst characters to not be on the list. Like I'm the only green Gohan I've seen ngl but all the others are here hi guys! I can't wait for Dfree's video 🗣️!
It's actually sad to see how many units got done dirty.... I actually remember that blue transforming vegeta cuz my god he was the absolute worst, mui release made passive gameplay a new lvl of annoying xD
green ssj gohan was annoying tbh, he was kinda tanky when i used and faced him at times. overall he was decent but not mid. if only he had cancel buffs, endurance disrupt etc. of course he doesnt need to have all of the above, but he sure need one of them.
Buu Duo Goku and Vegeta not making this list seems VERY incorrect. They are on some of the best tags in the game and no one used them. They were SO BAD they got a unique equipment the same year they dropped and they STILL dont get used. I dont even disagree with the 5 units on this list. But I think that there were MORE than 5 bad units this year. TOP Roshi is not bad, but he's been replaced 3 times over on all his teams. DB Saga Green Goku can only be run on DB because of his locked buffs. PTP Kid Goku got nerfed because of Dragon Ball Rates. But overall, Buu Duo should 100% be on here
No way you mentioned PTP goku lmao. He was very good on release and actually had value, so it doesn’t really make sense to consider him “bad” when looking at the whole year. Would make more sense to call someone like AGF bad because he basically offered nothing to universe reps

It is objectively true PTP goku got nerfed. He dosent farm Dragon Balls as fast anymore, which is the whole gimmick of his kit. Also, he is purple. Hes still a fine unit. But Android is also a fine unit and I think he belongs on this list.

His damage is not low. I used one at 7 stars for a while since i dont have Hit and his damage stacking made him hit REALLY hard. His issue is that his kit is designed to be both a last man standing while also having buffs if your whole team is alive. Its why that terrible Green Gohan made the list. Why is he getting last man standing buffs?
