That transforming Vegeta was such a letdown, he was perfectly set up for being a revival character and it could've worked perfectly considering the situation in the anime, but for some reason the devs probably thought it would be too powerful against MUI
@Rafik Abdelhadi I kind of worry the videos didn’t get enough traction for him to continue, but I mostly hope that he’s just been busy and hasn’t gotten around to them.
@@Goresh Will we get more heroes Card unboxing and game videos? They were fun. Also do Pokemon Masters if possible, it's been ages since you made a video on it.
Bardock is the perfect example of why the devs shouldn’t prioritize being “true to the source material” when making units anymore. The whole treason they gave Bardock that design choice of needing a dead ally, is because in both of his specials, his friends either died or got their ass beat and he got stronger because of it. If Bardock had all the dead ally requirements from the get go, it would’ve been better and he would’ve lasted a bit longer in the meta before fizzling out
Yh they definitely shouldn't prioritize true to the source material but I feel like they should still keep it in mind Cause it's fun for units to basically play the role that they would in the anime
The problem isn't that Bardock had restrictions tied to dead allies, the problem is that they literally gave him NOTHING to work with for his team, if they also Zenkaied the OG EX Bardock squad and RED Bardock the situation would have changed drastically especially if they made EX Tora's death buff uncancellable or something. You can be "true to the source material" and also be really good still like Tapion was, it's up to the devs to not fuck it up
For Gamma 2, not only did he have a pretty hard damage cap (he's rarely going over +120% damage inflicted without support units), but his card draw speed was also gated behind 30 timer counts. Gamma 1 had a base of +100% damage inflicted - so already pretty close - then had a +30% blast damage inflicted buff _when faced with an enemy_ (people who have been around when Zenkai 18 was wrecking shop know how strong that effect can be), granting him +130% blast damage inflicted innately and letting him build up to +160%, +190%, etc pretty easily. He also had immediate card draw speed, potential for +2 card draw speed, and had a busted green card that essentially restored his vanishing gauge and made his next blast arts a nuke (to the point where his blast cards sometimes outdamaged his blue cards). And Gamma 1 was the free unit of the duo, btw. Gamma 2 should have had ~+30% special move damage inflicted when he used his blue card, and an innate +50% special move damage inflicted on top of that from the battle start. To make him the blue card guy they wanted him to be. +200% special move damage isn't actually all too high nowadays, but with the crit buffs maybe it would one or two shot units every now and then.
Honestly I agree with the blue card damage up, he just doesnt do enough to not have it, With Gamma 1, he gets vanish restore what does Gamma 2 have? Crit rate up? Something that every character under the yellow sun is nerfing nowadays? Yeah he just needs more
I had fun memories of using GRN Angel Golden Freeza to one shot the blu transforming vegeta with my blue card. Seeing him in PVP was great cause I could count on it being a 3v2 lol
Fr like devs really said lets release this guy a month after we released a green unit who can refill their entire hand with their main and get ki back. Literally all of this could have been avoided if they made it so when you hit 50% you sealed their main for 3-5 timer counts
I thought blue Vegeta from the 4th anniversary was really good. He was a good tank and his blue card hit like a truck. I literally don’t know what happened to him and how he fell off but he did.
very wonky and niche main ability kinda like red bardock except he wasn’t as good 😂 his stats were low as hell and he was a glass cannon that didn’t really have a spot due other better contenders on god ki uss etc
Transforming Vegeta would've been so much better if the effect triggers immediately like Mecha Frieza passive but because they separated those 2 effects, Vegeta sometimes has this weird delay in triggering the reduce 100 ki passive.
I always knew that tien was gonna be one of the biggest flops, people thought was gonna be in every team ever, but even with boost and leader, he cant do anything else other than counter rush, which when you reach top 1k people barely use it, they just overpower you with busted units
@@jenshansenhavde tien doesnt provide anything besides making it harder to RR. Gogeta is so strong with beast gohan they can just shred your team without rising rush so its not that impactful. Tien wont do any damage either
@@eliravioli8233 well he’s blast. I think you could actually find success with him next to T/V and maybe pan. They simply need to put more blast units in the game, that’s what they need to spend 2023 doing bc every good unit is strike simple as that. Tien, buuhan, T/V, bardock all blast, and all mid bc they don’t ever really look that great on any of their teams (buuhan being an exception bc of PO)
Most of it are decent unit. I go from 0 matches on january to now over 300+ matches a month in the past 4 months! I start playing more matches after anniversary end solely because of avoiding laggy match during anni.I do think 2022 is a good year for me on what unit they had been release.
he wasn't trash when I 14 starred him and used him in part 1 of anni where mui goku was the most common unit and couldn't nullify unfavourable elements but ok actually like every youtuber said on his initial showcase he definitely was good, then grn df came out in part 2 and it only went down hill from there lol
That vegeta needs an enhancement like: Applies the following effects to enemy if own health is 50% or below: Reduces Ki by 100 (activates once) Destroys all cards (activates once) Seals Main Ability for 3 timer counts (activates once) "-100% to Ki Recovery" for 3 timer counts (activates once) Seals Rising Rush for 3 timer counts (activates once) "-2 Arts Card Draw Speed level" for 3 timer counts (activates once) Also applies the following effects to all enemies if own health is 50% or below: "No Switching" for 3 timer counts (activates once) And he needs Zenkai GRN Fat Buu like defensive stats so that he doesn't get oneshotted.
Would love to see a Top 5/10 Units that need a Zenkai. I think it would be interesting to see what units you both hope and think could use a Zenaki for 2023.
It's sad to see BLU Tien on here, but I understand why he's there. He's one of my favorite 1% Sparkings, but I genuinely thought I'd see RED Buuhan on this list too because I thought he was worse than Tien. I think the best way to activate Tien's Anti-Rush mechanic was to end a good stalemate. Back when LF GRN Dragonfist was in his prime, I buffed him 3x and put him alongside YEL Tapion and Tien. I was in a deadlock with a God Rank player because we were making it hard for each of us to actually kill a character, and I forced him to RR me when he tried using RED Cooler to kill my Tapion. Tien did good damage and that was the gateway to me winning the match. I miss the days when Dragonfist was in his prime.
That transforming Vegeta gets a lot of hate but I used him reliably on USS on release with MUI and LF Jiren. Vegeta would take early damage and then switch in to jiren to tank any ults. I also didn’t have golden frieza for my USS team so take that how you will.
@@ligma103 so he is built like the unit in ur pfp then... he wasn't trash when I 14 starred him and used him in part 1 of anni where mui goku was the most common unit and couldn't nullify unfavourable elements but ok, he would take a combo or 2, transform then one shot mui with a blue card, or did you literally forget that... and no I am not talking about him at anything below 7, I mean 7 and up (I got him 14 starred before df and tapion came out)
I think what could've made the transforming Vegeta much better, is getting Element Factor Nullification for damage received until he transforms, at least, and him sealing the enemy's Main Ability alongside the other effects after getting to 50%. Maybe that still wouldn't be that good, but he'd still be usable, at least, imo.
Came back after a break since 3rd ani the game got fun again and u should hop on although it’s kinda stressing how I missed mui and all the ultras but it’s still fun
They really fumbled the Gammas. In Dokkan they’re still top tier dfe turs and in Legends they were just mid f2p units on release. I know people are tired of tag lfs but they should release a tag lf Gamma 1 and 2 with the Gamma 2 sacrifice as a tag lf
Actually LF Bardock has a "good" synergy with Tapion. So in theory, a Yellow-Yellow-Blue Setup with LF Bardock, Tapion and Beast Gohan could actually be working pretty well.
Bardock is blast based….tapion offers strike support and holds two strike cards, fucking your hand with bardock bc you don’t want strike with him. So no they don’t really go that well together, pan would b the best option as support imo. Also bardock wouldn’t have the best equips on that team.
@@calebstevens9446 Bardock isn't really blast-based. His blast damage is like 300 points higher than his strike damage, he holds strike + blast cards and he got nothing in his kit, that's only increasing his blast damage. The only thing is, that he buffs blast damage with his z-ability and his blast cards have a ki-reducing effect. I think he works best with Tapion, since Tapion wants to die. And Tapion is quite relevant in this meta, since he can protect endurance units from getting rushed by Ultra Gogeta and his after-death attack is doing a lot of damage against UGB.
@@TheLuigiplayer I just don’t really see bardock perform well unless it’s on LoE or team bardock bc he has access to his best equips there. LoE being the best for his kit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen his strike damage look impressive and bc of that I’d rather provide value to an actual strike unit rather than him if I’m running anyone with tapion, also tapion once again would lose out on his best equips bc of bardock n he wants to b on pure movie.
Dangit. The one character I actually spent items boosting to 14 stars, is #1 on this. Double dangit. The one LF I'm currently working on building, (is at 9 stars right now) is also on this list. I love Bardock a lot. If LF is no good, which Bardock should I concentrate on building? Thanks for the videos. Even though I'm very casual and don't pvp much, it's cool to know which units are worth investing in, in the case I ever wanted to take pvping seriously.
Currently no other bardock is even usable unless you’re running super Saiyans, where SSJ bardock is a liability, but if you have good slots on LF bardock’s plat, lf bardock can be somewhat decent. If you’re gonna build any bardock, the lf one is still the best
@@evilkratos55 I think super saiyans have outgrown the need for bardock for a few months now, even if the core is pretty much all Ultras. There’s been quite a couple units this year that have SSJ crit reduction somewhere in their kit, and hell, once a new top tier SSJ unit releases, cooler is probably gonna be back on the rise to put them down a few pegs
i like how they released blu transforming vegeta as a 1% sparking in the anniversary part 1 but in part 2 they release probably the best 1% sparking of his time and that of course is Tapion
i disagree on the Bardock part, i love using him, the charged blue card + heal green card + good strike and blast damage, i've had a lot of fun using him during this year and i'm still amazed by it, my boe finally got his deserved respect as an LF! (also, best LF animation of all time in my opinion, the great amount of effects but used in a smart way, that doesn't blind you on light and turns out as a great combination... gotta give him some credit!)
Well, most of the things you said about the vegeta are true but look, even though he is a defensive unit he can do lots of dmg plus the 50% hp when using transformation is pretty good. I do agree in everything else though. Especially tien.
Definetly can agree on that transforming vegeta, he was only good for the raids at the time for those raid medals. However it would still be painful to be forced to use him even for the raids cuz of the buffs since you didnt pull miu. I cant count how many times when i was summoning for that banner the game got me hyped up but then gave me the vegeta.
Honestly i feel like the vegeta could be a lot better if they gave him endurance, locked opponents main after falling below half hp, gave him covernull on green and transformation, and make him neutral defensively on switch, and make his zenkai ability blue uni reps so MVP 17 finally has a zenkai buff, maybe not all of those but enough of them so he actually has a purpose
Fun fact transforming top vegeta is the only character I’ve ever 14 starred on a characters initial banner (I was obviously trying to get mui copies) and ofc he’s the worst of the year 😂
I red stared every banner sparking b4 pulling the new LF this year. Shit was so frustrating looking at a 8 star vegeta n not having MUI or fucking 11 star 17 no tag 4s, at least zamasu was good n I also 8 stared him….
well dunno about all that... also fun fact I summoned for vegeta lmao cuz I love vegeta clan (team never got into the top 5 so ultimately I swapped to gt and god ki rn LMAO)
The reason we got less summonable sparkings is probably because we got way more Ultras, honestly it's impressive how they can juggle around a good amount of sparkings and ultras. Ultras taking months to make, mind you.
Lol no that was a lie. Some I can say it is true(like the recent Gogeta) but come on you can't look me straight in the face and say Ultra Broly is a well made unit in the animation department. They was lazy around on some Ultra
Ultra Broly took A MONTH if that. Animations were sloppy and damage output lackluster at best, his saving grace is defense and special cover change but Ultra Gogeta did that and some completely replacing Broly. Even the new F2P broly is about as good
The homies most impressive skill is not playing the game or meming characters it's remembering the exact date and time a unit who could have been years old came out on
I would argue that most of the sparkings we got this year were actually pretty good. Even the ones on this list outside of Vegeta can still be usable especially Bardock with the Unique Equipment.
Honestly even Back when the Gammas came out they felt like F2P characters and mid at that should've just given them as free characters. Hopefully we get updated versions in the future of Gamma 1 and 2 or a tag switch Gamma 1 and 2.
Where would you have Jiren ranked on this type of list? The way you described BLU Tien's presence in a match is pretty similar to him and just like LF Bardock, he's outright terrible considering his rarity.
For the sake of it, i think you should try grn kaioken goku on a ultra ssb gogeta team. it would be interesting to see. i would do it but do y have enough stars on my goku 😅
@@ayyderek thats what I mean think of pur zenkai broly, but instead of him transforming as his ultimate, when he dies he goes "kakarot...NO!" Then transforms into a SS like against freiza, then after 15 counts he gets his lf ult
The one thing I don't like in Dragon ball Legends when I'm summoning on the banners is that I don't get the character I'm personally aiming for I had that problem with LF Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Bardock and the Revival Gohan also the ultra Super Saiyan blue Kaioken Goku and the mastered Ultra Instinct goku and full power jiren
Believe it or not, during the forth anniversary, I spent over 30k cc on the MUI banner. I got 0 MUI and 6 blue Vegeta. To this day, I still don't have Mui; but, I have this guy 2 red stars.
Bardocks abilities symbols the dead friends he had and how he faced all of friezas men and even when people thought he died he had a epic fight with chilled after he survived an explosion that destroyed a planet
Good list. I agree with almost everything. I personally would replace Tien with the blue support goku black he is terrible other than the extra blue card he provides nothing. And I feel like jiren deserves a spot on the list too. Jiren and Bardock are just terrible designed for Lf characters.
Jiren was actually pretty good on release. He just had no real team and they released ultra kaioken the next month who was op on release and had type advantage over jiren. The next month the androids released who countered him by ignoring endurance. The unit itself wasnt the problem, it was the timing of the release considering his teams and what dropped after him.
@@eoplex no bro the was actually trash most of this dmg buffs, his cover null and this endurance been locked behind the enemy doing a RR always was and still is bad character design. And Before the enemy uses a RR this dmg was really bad and he couldn't tank at all. I agree kaioken and the androids completely killed this unit but even on release he was just okay at best.
Most of it are decent unit. I go from 0 matches on early these year to now over 300+ matches a month in the past 4 months! I start playing more matches after anniversary end solely because of avoiding laggy match during anni.I do think 2022 is a good year for me.
he wasn't trash when I 14 starred him and used him in part 1 of anni where mui goku was the most common unit and couldn't nullify unfavourable elements
And for good reason. The fact that you have to wait so long to transform or take a certain amount of damage to transform is such a stupid mechanic especially when you consider how long people can combo non stop and the damage that does. On top of that he’s super squishy too before transforming making him a liability on whatever team he’s on
transforming vegeta deserved being at this list, but I don't really think he's that bad, he did tank well back in the date, but he became bad in the moment we got DF
If their banners we’re literally the worst value of anything in a gotcha game, they wouldn’t b so bad. But it’s the legends way to always fuck something up.
I do not get Bardock is here and worse than KK Goku. Gamma 1 is way worse imo. MUI has the same odd endurance ability but it's even more restricted and I never see a soul mention that being a negative design choice.
(I got bardock from tag goku and vegeta ssj4 release) (and got tag goku and vegeta ssj4 when vegeta and trunks released) last thing is pulled vegito twice and got broly total all is bardock,ssj4 tag, vegito 2x,broly is total i got from legend festival is 5 legends limited
10:08 you know what’s unfortunate I summoned like hell for this guy lmfao. Sad,could’ve used those cc in this festival for ugb. Rising rush gimmick not good enough 19:00☠️. You know what’s crazy I have this guy at 10 stars. I got this dude like crazy on the anniversary. Man I guess I lost this year.
You would think that less released characters would mean the quality of animations would greatly increase. Too bad they're a small indie team that can't even afford decent servers
@@sploda9886 yeah but bardocks plat was also around the time beast came out so he’d also be free from cooler. Also Bardock isn’t a super saiyan so cooler doesn’t do dat extra damage
sad that Bardock is here but tbh LF Jiren has way better design than him his strike buffs were actually good next is actually getting endurance when the enemy uses a rush (it can be situational if they actually drop combol and rush you can vanish and still gain that endurance)
