Well, it was dissappointing but here is a theory for why he just skips them. The purple energy surrounding Frieza is not normal. So instead of transforming to the other forms, the energy makes him skip directly to the final form.

Stovie Weems yea. But nine tails is so much weaker than goku. So he would barely get a power boost. And I say maybe weaker, keyword maybe, because I'm not sure on the rules of fusion. But I think if a character A fuses with CHARACTER B so significantly weaker it may weaken character A.

Smile Doge actually .. if you have watched DBNA then you will see,there's a character name Rigor and he can turn SSJ5 when Rigor turn SSJ5 he was able to hold his own and beat the crap out of SSJ4 Gogeta,that's why i said SSJ5 is 50 times SSJ4,Rigor can really take a punch from Gogeta,so it would make sense that Rigor is equal or stronger then Gogeta

I believe it's DLC. The characters (see: Trunks) I believe refer to it as an alternate timeline. So... semi-canon. Not main timeline canon, but they acknowledge that somewhere, in some alternate universe, it happened.

Potara fusion is never seen in the game, however there is actually a point in the game where Goku and Vegeta do the fusion dance so all they had to do was insert different models to get the fusions in the video

+RiorXD probably a time limit. player 1 has 5 min in control and it switches and after 30 min the characters defuse

riachugaming andchats I set a time limit of 1 min. As 30seconds each fused party was both fair to the players and opponents. I would not.want.to sit.there for 5minutes waiting after fusion by that time the match could be over.
