“Vegeta! Trunks is picking on me!” This part still gets me lol

"I can;'t feel power levels, but I can feel THAT" such an amazing line. They really do a good job in this part to combine the jokes while keeping the serious tone.

Trunks being so done with literally everyone is hilarious. Vegeta and Cell temporarily working together due to Vegeta's ego and urge to fight is wild. But then again, Goku did allow Frieza to get stronger during their fight as well. So it's not exactly surprising to see them potentially endanger lives for the thrill of a battle

Perfect Cell, in my opinion, is the culmination of TFS's writting. The character shifts so effortlessly between threatening and hillarious its genuinely impressive. He is, for all terms and purposes, the Abridged's *Perfect Villain*

4:32 *_“You’re going to get everything that’s coming to you”_* He’s not wrong and I loved every second of it.

Perfect Cell is here!!!! I also love Vegeta's line when he's floating in the water, "This is a new feeling. Pride in someone else." The irony of Trunks finally starting to earn his father's respect by attacking Vegeta is so perfect for their relationship.

"I don't appreciate you hanging around other men, or in this case, half of one" "Oh, another short joke, yeah sure fine" I loved Krillin's sarcasm, like at this point, he's had enough

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Trunk is literally the only sane adult member of the Saiyan race. Goku would have done the exact same thing as Vegeta. Trunk's exasperation at his father's arrogance and stupidty is the exact same reaction everyone watching the show had lol. Trunks blasting Vegeta off into the distance Team Rocket style was very much deserved.

This episode is a masterpiece. I hope you enjoyed it.

The voice acting for Trunks was so good on that "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" line 🤣 my favorite in the episode

Bulma says that she's been here longer than both piccolo and tenshinhan. She's actually the oldest character with Goku, the Dragonball manga starts with their encounter

I love that Krillin is the one who seems to be the one who always seems to interact with everyone and while they don't respect him, seems to actually get along with everyone.

Every transformation that Cell has gone through has started and ended with a song that fits what he is and/or is becoming. Just something to remember.

Fun fact. The Song cell was humming while Approaching 18 was his perfect theme from the original Bruce faulconer dub. You should really check it out in your spare time it is one of the best and absolutely horrifying. Love the reaction like always

The Decision Crisis Krillin was having, is still the most memorable moment for me in TFS (in regards to Krillin at least). Thumbs up to him for picking love.

Yknow, its actually a solid point that this timeline's androids haven't killed anyone. If you notice on the highway fight only vegeta is killing drivers

Fun fact. Originally Cell in all three forms was going to be voiced by Kaiserneko, the voice of Trunks as well as several other characters throughout the series like Zarbon, but it was decided to let Takahata101 (Voice of Nappa, Bardock, Guru, and a few extras) play the roll since Kaiser already playing a very great Trunks would take up a lot of screen time as well as variety if he played two of the most voiced characters. Needless to say, Takahata has made a name as making many voices iconic in the series and this one is so iconic, hilarious, and perfect, that like his other voices, you will quote everything he says.

I want to say that you guys forgot to check the solar flare in this episode. Its pretty..... yeah I got no words to describe it.

fun fact: that line about tien getting cell out of that situation was accurate. the solar flare was created by tien. everyone else just uses it. in fact, tien probably has the most number of self created techniques out of the entire cast. shame he doesn't get to use them.

The opening song of Goku even with the little muffin dancing on the notes.. was really cute. 🧁

It's so enjoyable watching you guys experience the storyline, and like everyone else has mentioned, those shirts were just spot on.

Piccolo doesn't understand human copulation, he thinks krillin destroyed the remote so he could enter a relationship with 18 to get Eaton and turned into an egg the birth.

Perfect Cell is finally here. But Cell also went through a henious amount of executive meddling. I've stated before about the androids (Gero/Android 20 and 19 were supposed to be the villains but Toriyama's editor Torishima said they weren't good enough. Toriyama then designed 17 and 18 only for Torishima to go, they are just brats) Toriyama then created Cell but his next Editor Yu Kondo said he looked absolutely too gross for the series but Toriyama said, it's okay he'll transform. He changed Cell to his Semi-Perfect form and Kondo replied, "he looks like a moron, just change him to perfect already" Toriyama wanted to play around with the 2nd form for longer but he managed to pull together everything he needed to have a successful arc despite all of this

Kudos on immediately spotting the muffin in the opening song! You’d be surprised how many reactors miss it.

It is brilliant how this show made the 3 androids to be these insurmountable horrible monsters and almost immediately does an almost completely 180 without forgetting the past, or the future as it is here. As horrible as the future Android 18 is, it's really not difficult to sympathise with her here and even root for her survival, as dumb as Krillin destroying the remote is. But he is a sentimental person and as short as he is, he is all heart.

Beautiful shirts, also the 5 episode stretch of 47-52 is peak dbza for me.

I love this episode. For long-time fans, Bulma winning the bet is a nice touch. The series started with Bulma meeting Goku in the mountains and going on an adventure together, so she *would* have a better idea about what the people would do.

About 12 episodes (if they do the final split up), 1 movie and several mini episodes left.

I just realized there were two Steven Universe references in this episode! The song that Goku sang is a parody of “Giant Woman” from Steven Universe, and the song that plays in the background around 3:20, when Krillin is looking longingly at Android 18 “Lazuli”, is the character motif of Lapis Lazuli, a gem from SU!

Tenshinhan, had blamed Krillin in the original. Piccollo had defended him, "Vegeta you bastard, that is all your fault!" ... and this is totally canon, and so well put from TFS, it fits Vegeta's character 100%

I don’t know if this was just the og anime and not in the manga or Kai but another reason Krillin didn’t want to use the remote was that it wouldn’t destroy 18. It would just deactivate her… he’d still have to destroy her with his own power or Cell would still be able to absorb her. Not really an easy thing to have to do, crush or no…

A pretty interesting episode. It begins with a musical number, and ends with one.

I've said it before, but Krillin is my favorite in this series because he's relatable. He hangs around people who can obliterate planets and routinely gets his shit kicked in, but at the end of the day he's just trying his best and trying to keep positive about it.

Fun fact, that amazing intro song is a parody of the theme song for "Steven Universe", a delightful kids show that aired on Cartoon Network back in 2013! I loved that show growing up! It also showed one of the first Same-Sex relationships on a Kid's Show in the US!

Solar Flare Easter Egg of the episode: nearly NSFW fanart of Cell holding 18 with his tail. And FINALLY, we see the PERFECT form of Cell. And like Lord Slug, he has an *impeccable* singing voice! Looks like Trunks couldn't thwart Vegeta's plans after all. Not for lack of trying, mind you (to quote Vegeta from all the way back in episode 10). Love the shirts, by the way.

I mean, even though nothing went according to plan on either Z-Fighter’s part, you gotta admit that seeing Cell getting his butt handed to him is entertaining! And now, we have Perfect Cell.

If there is one thing I can say about this episode reaction, is I think this is the most I've seen you guys enjoying it. Not to mention your thoughts on the characters have drastically changed since season 1. Love getting the notifications.

Loved getting the Steven Universe nod at the beginning after giving SU a proper watch in 2020, lol. (It's parodying Steven's "Giant Woman" song in S1, iirc.) This is such a--pardon the pun--perfect episode from TFS, with how well all the character dynamics they've built up come to a head, everyone's lines were solid, and ofc Perfect Cell's debut was perfect. Really enjoying you two's reactions, and love the shirts 😂

Difficult to say who is worse between Goku and Vegeta with their ever saiyan desire for a challenging fight.

Probably my favorite TFS shirts are the Piccolo Dodge emblem and Piccoloshi's Island. However, I Need An Adult and I Am An Adult work together so well.

Just throwing this out there for future reference guys but after you two are finished with DBZ Abridged, I'd definitely recommend checking out Final Fantasy VII: Machinabridged which is the series TFS in these past videos were mentioning a couple times at the end of the episodes. Definitely some comedy gold in that. Especially if you have some knowledge of Final Fantasy VII prior.

The thing that really amuses me about Cell becoming Perfect is that EVERYONE on that island had to screw up for it to happen. Except 16, he was kind of out of commission. Vegeta and/or Trunks just had to stop screwing around and kill Cell. Krillin just had to push the damn button. 18 just had to leave or blow herself up during the significant amount of time Cell was distracted by the saiyans. If even ONE of those FOUR people had done what they were supposed to, it would have ended there. Cell really is the luckiest villain in Dragonball.

In Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1, there an what if story where Cell absorbs Krillin and becomes Cellin. At the end of story it revealed that Cell was an nightmare
