The duality of Cell needing all of the tiles to be perfect and being petty enough to do Mom jokes with Vegeta, Prince of little to no Saiyans, is honestly amazing

6:49 keep in mind this is the ONLY TIME in the entire Abridged where Krillin, Roshi, Chiaotzu, Yamcha and even Vegeta agree 100% on something

I love how you went from being skeptical in the first few episodes, to becoming avid watchers. Your pride in Gohan's growth, and understanding of Vegeta and Trunks, it's so awesome to see.

Cell Games was trending IRL too when this episode went live. Frickn’ hilarious.

I love Vegeta’s exchange with Yamcha; like even Vegeta acknowledges Yamcha made an excellent burn, so he grudgingly respected it enough to give him a five minute head start before hunting him down for reminding him of his weakest moment

Chi-chi's "Do not make me come over there, I will rip your world a-fucking-sunder" to vegeta is one of my favourite bits. Also you should totally watch the "Cell vs." videos before the next episode, they're super short but really funny

If you pay close attention, there's a split second where you can spot the green tile when Cell makes the first arena. I missed it the first time, and saw a comment, so I went back and spotted it. Just a few frames, but you can spot it among the rest. I feel Cell's pain in that one tiny imperfection. When I play games that let me build houses or the like, if there's one mistake, I mentally hear his voice going "it's fine, it's *fine.* It doesn't bother me. It doesn't BOTHER me. It bothers me. It bothers me A LOT!" followed with "STARTING AGAIN!" I don't ask for much. Just that when I want a 12X16 house, it lines up with the foundation I build. Thankfully I don't record that kind of content on my channel or I'd never have any videos coming out that don't end up with half an hour of me trying to make a perfectly square or rectangular foundation for a house or base. Well, Minecraft, but it has exact cubes, so I can work with that.

If it hasn't been pointed out already, the scariest part of that dream for Gohan was hearing Goku say, "I love you, son."

Cell games was actually trending on Twitter after this. Love how every character universally agrees that only Goku can challenge Cell. Even Cell himself. The arrogance part of Cell comes from Frieza and Vegeta. Also this episode made me wonder, if someone in an anime world watches hentai, wouldn't it be like live action to them ?

So fun fact, within minutes of people getting to the #Cellgames bit, it was in fact trending. Pretty high up there too as I recall.

Of course Cell is your favorite villain because it’s really just a dramatic love story.

Something you haven't gotten to see, having started with Abridged, Chi-Chi is also a fighter trained in the same style Goku and Krillin started in. However, they learned it directly from Master Roshi, where she learned it from her father, who was a student of Roshi's years before along with Goku's long dead adoptive grandfather, whom Gohan is named after. Chi-Chi also made it to the top 8 of the World Martial Art tournament, which is an impressive feat in and of itself. Ironically, it was her future husband, Goku, who eliminated her. Also, Goku, Tien, Master Roshi, and the man on the phone with Nappa that you haven't met yet are all winners of said World Martial Arts Tournament.

Best reactions to this series in my opinion.

In Android 16's defense, he's not the only Z-Fighter that's wanted to kill Goku.

If you remember back to when Mr. Popo was high on LSD and chanting "All these squares make a circle", that was him seeing the future while he was tripping. So he was seeing the second ring Cell made. So when Popo trips, the future is laid before him for the viewing. Also, when the episode dropped, #cellgames was actually trending on Twitter.

The ironic thing about Chi-Chi is that she _wasn't_ a polar opposite to Goku when they were little. She was sweet and innocent just like him - so sweet and innocent that she was one of the only other characters that could ride Nimbus. She was less sweet/innocent as a teen, but that's to be expected. As an adult, though, she got worse, and it's pretty clear the reason for that was Gohan.

Alright! Now that the Cell Games have been officially inaugurated you should totally check out TFS side series “Cell vs.”, in which opponents from all over the animeverse come and try their best to defeat the dastardly bugman during the seven days leading to the competition P.D: 11:27 She said “You have great glutes!”

The ring is iconic since DB began in the 80's. One of those moments that meant a little more if you've seen the old show. 😆

I have a feeling that even though DBZA Vegeta would never NEVER admit it. He considers the team his friends!

Rewatching this makes me so upset toei pulled the copyright card on them, the production quality in this last arc was nuts, I was hyped to see what they did next. Glad they at least got to finish this story.

Vegeta's Saiyan pride took a pounding this episode, also love Cell's reaction to the area's he built "How the Hell Do All These Square's Make A Circle!".

Five things I specifically loved about this episode; 1st was the fact that Cell's fighting rings were always in some way imperfect, which told me that he wasn't nearly as perfect as he believed. 2nd the interplay between Trunks and the others when he finds out that five members of the group died, and how. 3rd Adroid 16 -- full stop, any scene with him there just made me smile. 4th we've seen Chi-Chi outright refuse to let Gohan do anything except study, but her moment talking to the other fighters about letting him train with Goku, and why she's so adamant about her reasoning was such a personal moment that I started to really understand her better 5th both Chi-Chi and Yamcha both got digs in on Vegeta, a person thousands of times more powerful than either of them, and yet he seemed genuinely scared of the former, and kind of impressed with the latter. I mean giving him a five minute head-start and not following through?! There had to be a modicum of respect there.

5:11 man them both chuckling at the exact same time made the perfect arena joke better

In the lead up to episode 60 there were a number of videos made mostly by TFS where they had characters from different animes and games (I.e. Yu-Gi-Oh, Sonic, Deadpool and many more) meet up and occasionally fight with cell. All the videos have the tag #CellGames and they are definitely worth watching before episode 60.

In the original, when Bulma came looking for future Trunks, she literally ran over Yamcha, Krillin, and Vegeta. All three are way stronger than her, and she manage to run them over. There was an interaction with future Trunks and baby Trunks

Vegeta being turned on by ChiChi threatening him is hilarious

The worst part about ChiChi is that even though it’s a dream, it’s LITERALLY almost EXACTLY something she said in the anime. She LEGITIMATELY never cared about the world dying only that Gohan kept up their study.

Saiyons are attracted to really aggressive and expressive women because Saiyan women are that way. Thats why Vegeta is with Bulma, and Goku with Chi Chi.

17: "look pal, if you have your creator in your head, constantly tell you _"kill Son Goku"._ Then you can ride your high horse all day". 16's head: *"KILL SON GOKU"* another great callback by TFS.

So this episode did actually get #cellgames trending when it released

I recommend watching the Cell versus videos that they made, which shows what cell does while passing the time until the final battle, where he encounters individuals from anime, marvel, and video games who "challenge" him 🤪🤣

Fun fact: The Cell Games is the first tournament in the series since Goku and Piccolo fought in the Original Dragon Ball before the Radditz fight.

Oh!! Mr. Satan!! The strongest fighter on Earth! :D It was revealed earlier on an end screen gag how Nappa was working with him. Aaahhhh... can't remember just how far we get on Mr. Satan's character arc in DBZA, but at the very least we do see the beginning of it! It's going to be amazing.

Dream interpretation.. Well despite the fact, that Gohan doesn't know what Cell looks like at this point.. His father never "really" protected him from the brutalities of this world. On Gohan's eyes, he was always forced to fight in order to survive.. He see his father as some kind of danger.. and Cell and Goku have a lot in common.. TFS did a amazing job.. building up Goku as a "Villian" in Gohan's eyes.. He is afraid of Cell but also his dead.. because stupidity is dangerous..

If you ever watch the original Dragonball series where Goku is a child and meets Chi-chi, you will be very surprised what her character was like as a child.

Also, it's pointed out in the original show that Saiyans' are attracted to those who show "unwavering strength". Which is why Goku and Vegeta ended up with Chi-Chi and Bulma. They don't take shit from anyone.

Okay. So if you want to be technical, the next episodes are “cell vs” where cell fights different characters of different anime/shows/etc. Also there is the two movies that are non-canon as well. It’s up to you.

The dream is a joke for the DBZ episode when Gohan had a dream about Cell Perfect Form even tho he never saw his face. If it was Goku, it is understandable since Goku has telephatic power. It happens before. Thats why they had Goku said he had dreamed it for a week.

I'm sure you guys know to watch the "Cell Versus" series that features all the characters who go out to meet Cell while he's waiting. You can also finish all the movies (Broly, Plan to Eradicate Christmas). There is also Kai 2.9 (covers the Garlic Jr Saga they skipped before Trunks showed up) and Kai 3 parts 1 and 2. Episode 61 is the real, last, final epilogue.

Now that you've reached the Cell Games, there are some TFS shorts you can watch where characters from other franchises come to challenge Cell! Some are ones you may be familiar with!

The rabbit hole is here. Okay TFS has their own Cell vs mini segments, which then inspired another RU-vidr to copy them, and their stuff is often found in searches mixed in. This would be DevilArtemis. Who at first did edits and mainly crass humor, but over the years got better and better with their own 3-d animation and mini stories and Colllabs , including with TFS more recently as an animator.

Since this is the episode where the Cell Games is announced. I'm wondering. Are you guys gonna do the Cell Vs episodes that lead up to the actual tournament itself? I hope so, cause some of those are actually quite entertaining 😂

"I don't think that's Chi-chi..." You know it's kind of amazing to see so many people on these videos amazingly miss a voice they've heard probably a hundred times up to that point. Rather impressive actually.

Such a fun post-fight episode. Plenty of laughs, a few WTF moments (that dream was NUTS), and Cell continuing to be the best villain. Plus, if you know the series, you know who’s coming next after that post-credits scene. If not, I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say…you’re in for a treat. Oh, and an in-joke you probably missed. One of the cities Cell ate, Penguin Village, is where the series Dr. Slump takes place. It was a gag manga Toriyama wrote LONG before Dragonball. I’ve been watching it (it’s not easy to find), and let me tell you: old Akita must have had OUTSTANDING drug connections.

There's 60 episodes, but once you add the Dragon Shortz and HFIL episodes, there's a bit more to go after that.
