I like how Nappa's scouter picked up Bardock's power level. In the special movie, the doctor said at that rate, Bardock was gonna be stronger than King Vegeta, that would've been an interesting fight....
First off, that's only in the garbage dub. In the original Bardock's pl was close to 10k. In here they said it is around 10k. King Vegeta is still stronger than Bardock and so is the Prince.
@@greatestnitemare6626I might be wrong on this but when bardock got healed up after his encounter with toolo didn’t Bardocks power level increase to 12,000 or 14k or something like that
1:24:37 The direness of this situation, only to be laughed at by Frieza, all the while Dodoria and Zarbon just stood there in shock, understanding what was going on and acting accordingly. They possibly had thought of the options that the Saiyans could bring in servitude, the latter that they stood in- greater than them. Yet, it's all gone in an instant by a tyrannical ruler that shows no bounds for his terror.
I really love how they portray Saiyans as the monsters they truly were with no hope of redemption. They really deserved what they had coming and thats how they should be. Theres a charm in that i think.
@@Dream179Legacy Bardock wasn't. He was likely sent to hell and had his soul purged. Caring about one's family doesn't make them a good person. Vegeta's redemption worked because it was over time and it was also the fact that he realized everything happened because of him
Bardock was evil af. Did you not see the original Japanese version and this DLC? This is how he always was. An evil pos. Not trash DB Super. Not trash Minus. Not any of that trash@@Dream179Legacy
@@lapplandkun9273 Bardock in the original was not a good person and didn't care about his family. We don't talk about trash DB Super/Minus/Gine in this superior story.
@@greatestnitemare6626 Read my comment. My point was that Minus Bardock wasn't good either. Caring about one's family doesn't make them good. Otherwise, Vegeta's redemption didn't work just because he suddenly gave a shit about his family. It was him taking responsibility for majin buu's revival.
1:23:50 Salza: Monsieur Cooler! It seems that your brother Freeza is destroying the planet Vegeta! Cooler: Very impressive, killing off a bunch of monkeys. Any liquored-up hillbilly with a shotgun could’ve done that at the zoo. Salza: Wait, sir! It seems he has missed one ship! We’re within range to intercep... Cooler: No. Let it go. Salza: But... why? Cooler: Because if he’s going to whine to our father for control over the entire system like a spoiled little brat, then he’s going to accept the responsibility. If this comes back to bite him, that’s his fault.
14:08 It still bemuses me that every time the early DBZ villains discovered an Energy Level higher than they anticipated, they would just make the assumption that their scouters were on the fritz.

Enjoyed the dlc. Although with all the hype an all figured be longer then what it is. Now hoping that the next dlc does og dragon ball considering how it ended.
Man the devs are getting pretty creative with every new DLC going forward. The first two were just new forms and easy exp but after History of Trunks, I'm willing to bet they will only get better from now on.
yeah but i hope they allow you to deactivate certain skills like the combo level 4 for both goku and vegeta cause they didnt rlly do anything else with it, when dlc 2 came i thought we would get new combo levels to complete it but we didnt so now were stuck with the combo lvl 4 without having any means of deactivating it
@@jgoofy8233 because whats the point of having it if thats the only new combo lvl you can get? after you get combo level 4 thats it theres no other combo level your able to get after that meaning your stuck with it and its dumb considering bandai didnt add two more to complete it. its good and all but after seeing that we dont get new parts of the new combo i rather be able to switch and have the old combo than be stuck with just one part of the new one because we really should have gotten two more levels for the new combo for the Resurrection F dlc
@@tomokisakurai3997 I dunno about all that man, ngl it doesn't seem like a great idea to remove the combo just because you can't use anything else. If you're bored of the same combo over and over, just play another character or start a new game. The old combo is also pretty weak compared to the DLC version, not to mention if you're in Surge Mode, your combo changes depending on your current transformation.
Wow this dlc is pretty dark. You are basically playing as a Galactic mass murderer. I think it was GT goku that said it. the saiyans were destroyed for their crimes
Kind of weird that this DLC is based on the Bardock Special, even though other pieces of DLC uses the Super Manga and a few other parts of the more recent installments as a basis, installments that contradict and effectively made it clear the Bardock Special wasn't canon. I know there's technically no contradiction within the game itself but how would they deal with the problems if they feel like including Minus/Broly and Granolah?
If they make a Broly DLC, it will probably be the Z version of Broly. And most of the elements from the Super manga seen in previous DLCs happened in flashbacks.
Because Minus/Super are trash and the original Bardock special is far superior in everyway and this is how it always was intended to be, before Toriyama became a senile old fool?
Can you tell me what you did to get Bardock to level 41? How did you even upgrade your character? I got to Frieza and got incinerated due to being under leveled.
This dlc is so far honestly the closest thing to a vision I've had since i was in middle school. It would be awesome if someone did an actual full-on ambitious video game storyline revolving directly around the saiyans and their life. The Idea (Could be some years before frieza destroys them or so) But you could basically make your own character (male, female, etc), and there will also be classes. depending on what class you choose will determine the kinda life your saiyan will live. (and the kind of missions/storyline they can get). as a lowclass (if your power level is extremely low upon birth), you would get sent to some far-off random planet as an infiltration baby. ull live on that planet until you manage to conquer it, then you will be able to go home, as infiltration saiyans are only accepted back into saiyan society after they've conquered their planet. Depending on the planet u are sent to, you may or may not have the moon to your disposal, which will allow you to transform and speed up the conquering process. However, the usage of the full moon will be limited according to the planet's moon phase system. if you're unlucky to land on a planet without one, ull have to rely on ur other saiyan abilities and survive. Conquering the planet will also naturally be much tougher and strenuous without being able to transform. (Hopefully, it's not too much of a strong planet or some other strong aliens don't land on it too as that can and will randomly happen 🤣) if your lowclass saiyan does manage to beat all odds and complete his or her mission they can return to planet vegeta and get accustomed to saiyan society. it may be hard for them at first, as up until that point they have spent their entire lives in solitude and under their own influence. there will also obviously be elite saiyans that will look down on you etc. You may have to prove your worth. But be careful. The word "murder" on planet vegeta does not exist. If you challenge an elite in battle, be prepared for the consequences. (make sure you can win) If you survive the ways of planet vegeta , from here on out your saiyan will strictly be focused on becoming an elite and reaping all the enjoyments of saiyan benifets As a middle-class/elite baby, you will remain on planet vegeta and learn the harsh ways of saiyan society. You can participate in saiyan tournaments, attend saiyan schools that prep you for missions, and do side quests in the open world of planet vegeta. Later on, as your saiyan grows and if they are worthy, they will be able to get sent out to conquer planets and may even gain crew mates along the way. As well as find a mate and have children. ( This bardock dlc game is quite comparable to what I had in mind for the elite/mid class saiyans life). They will also have the blutz wave technique that all elites learn, giving them advantages of transformation even on planets that lack a moon. During battle, players can use the blutz wave technique at any given moment. The Elite saiyan life will be reletively alot more easier as they will have much higher power at the start and alot more advantages in their favor. However the infiltration saiyan life may also reap benifets as the planet's they get sent to may allow them to discover new powers, opening their arsenal while also strengthenen their hidden potential in the long run (if they survive). The surviving infiltration saiyans may also have hidden potential even greater than the elite saiyans. They will also most likely be much more savage in fighting styles aswell as appearance. The game would definitely be expected to be open world. Possibly multi-player as well. Players will be able to travel around the planet vegeta as well as travel through space to distant planets. those planets should be open world as well. (again, similar to this dlc). However, for the infiltration babies, the open world wouldn't be available right away, and neither will space travel. Access to planet vegeta and other saiyans would be off limits at the start. They would have to be able to conquer their world by slowly claiming territories. and that won't be easy. There's also always the chance that they can be defeated or killed. if defeated, they have a chance to escape and if they manage to recover, they will, of course, return much stronger (as saiyans do with their zenkia ability). If killed (thinking of giving players the choice to have a respawn point) it may be a perma death scenario and that saiyan will be actually deceased. That's pretty much all I have got so far, but as you can see, it's a pretty ambitious idea. although this dlc gives me hope that it will happen some day. Feel free to let me know your thoughts
I was hoping the in-game cutscenes would have more flair considering this is the second Season. Just some improved facial animation and camera work would be nice for some scenes instead of static character models.
i dont get why they get linda young to voice Fasha instead of Frieza... when she is the OG Frieza. But then again, I guess the Frieza now versus the original Funi dub (post Ocean) is very different. This Frieza, while tyrannical, is somewhat strategic. Whereas the OG Frieza was just a mindless killing machine. Although the Frieza in this video is probably the latter, I think Daman Mills does a very good job of showing that trademark Chris Ayres Frieza
Linda Young is awful. In the OG Frieza was always a sophisticated bad ass who barely spoke and was ruthless af and evil. Garbage early Funimation dub ruined Frieza with that awful Linda Young voice
you have to get the ps5 or the new xbox version in order to get this dlc, but you will also have to transfer your save data from your previous console to the new version
