IF YOU WANT TO USE A WEAPON: Reduvia is the PERFECT weapon for the build. If you pick Bandit you already have the stats to use it - it scales with our main stat Arcane, its lightweight enough to not decrease the value of Blue Dancer, gets buffed by Blue Dancer itself. Reduvia also has a strong and fast midrange attack with its Skill while also attacking very fast with its light attacks, a perfect compliment to our more slow Dragon Attacks. Plus, it gives us access to Bleed as a third status we can use in addition to Rot and Frostite. TO GET BOTH BAYLE INCANTATIONS: You can fight Bayle as your first DLC boss. The fight is a lot easier if you summon Igon for it. You can defeat Bayle, use his heart at the Altar, get Bayle Flame Lightning, then go to NG+, rush back to DLC by killing Radahn and Mohg via Varre's questline, rush back to Bayle, kill him again, and now you can get Bayle's Tyranny too. You want to get to NG+ anyway if you didn't have a friend help you get a second Seal, and your Scadutree Blessings also carry over to NG+, with the ones you picked up before being back to pick up again. TO GET 2 SEALS: The Knight in Stranded Graveyard that drops it, if you fight it in co-op it will drop a seal for both you and your friend. Your friend can drop theirs for you. If desired, you can then co-op it in your friends world as well, and you'll both get another seal again, now you both can have 2. OR you can just go to NG+ and get it. BLOODSUCKING CRYSTAL TEAR: I did not know this tear existed when I recorded this video. It will drain 1% of your HP per second but buff ALL your damage by 20% and lasts 3 minutes. The HP drain is but a minor nuisance, as we can use Blessing of the Erdtree to restore more than half of what is being drained. Always use this once you get it, unless you just really hate the HP drain. Use it alongside the Flame Tear.
Thanks for the advice. But I have a question, if you could only choose one Bayle's Incantation, which one would you choose? Flame lightning or Tyranny?
I've seen a few comments asking "what's a good melee option?" both martial arts weapons. Palm strike has HYPER ARMOR and knocks most enemies FAR!! Dry leaf whirlwind AKA leaf hurricane (shout out to Rock Lee) has no hyper armor, but can stun lock and proc status effects like bleed or poison FAST. Plus they only weigh 1 lbs so you don't lose too much with the blue dancer buff.
I love this build. And bc of the roar medallion I put beast roar war ash on a misericorde. That way I have a lightweight melee and have a cheap good projectile for mobs. The roar ash gets buffed by the medallion too.
This is an awesome glass cannon build! I’m gonna try it out next time I play im missing a few of the inactions needed but it shouldn’t be to hard to get them
BDC can be swapped to an elemental buff charm if the boss your fighting has an elemental weakness your looking to exploit with your breaths for more elemental Damage. Blue Dancer would help more for overworld / dungeon crawl where your likely using your Martial Arts or light weapon of choice to conserve FP, using FP and incants on the tougher overworld/dungeon mobs and just melee down the weaker fodder. Or use BDC if your looking just to wipe everything with Dragonmaw/Dragonclaw.
38 Mind is a good amount as long as you have a good amount of Cerulean Flasks, and are being sure to manage your FP wisely - e.g., using cheaper FP cost incantations like Dragonclaw if they will get the job done. In boss battles, the fight should never go on long enough to run out of FP flasks. Eventually you can get to 60 Mind which is the final softcap, and with 60 running out of FP is a very minor issue if at all at that point
Both summons plus the mimic. If you use mohg's great rune and the glovewort crystal tear you can add 40% damage to your summons. Timing still needs to be on point for rolls and jumps, but it's doable. Second phase while he's distracted you can chain cast bayle's fire lightning into bayles tyranny for maximum damage. Take out the lower incant talisman for the magma for Max damage.
I gotchu big dog! Check out my most recent video I showed the fight with this build and broke down the strategy for it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6VYdi7CRmDk.html
isnt it a good idea to increase dex as well to make the dragon spells go faster? I use in combination of Morgotts cursed sword. wouldnt they make the dragon comunion
Extremely well! Check out my bosses showcase video for the build - I also made a final boss guide for the build ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rDDYkpLpt7k.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6VYdi7CRmDk.html
When i first watched the vid and tried the build i was a little sceptical, because i wanted a weapon but i dont like Reduvia, but then i watched your top weapons vid and found out about the glorious POISONED HAND and now i think its the most fun and cool looking build i ever saw, let alone played thank you very much man
So, I swapped to this build last night and have some pros and Cons about it. I am not in NG+, and I am level 180. The good: It hits really hard on bosses. I killed the hippo boss using dragonmaw after 3 hits. Was super easy. The cons from what I can see - Its super squishy. I am struggling with any mob that is right in my face. The fire knights and crucibles knights in Shadow Keep are just constantly killing me. I dread running into them. Even using Golden Vow and the Dragon stone buff, none of my spells can kill them in 2 uses. Ghost Flame breath seems to do the best, but maw and claw wont take them out, which means they are usually on top of me and then just take my health down to nothing in a few hits. I swapped one of my talismans for the great shield talisman and it still does not make a difference. I am sure if I used full buffs, it might be easier, but that is a pain to keep up all my buffs in a dungeon for regular mobs.
@@GxGNoir Yes, I think I am at +10. I dont use a 2nd flock talisman, and instead use the greateshield talisman. You also have 2 dragon communion seals though.
@@Nuclayer late reply mb, but yeah you are missing out on a lot of damage by being at scadutree at 10 and not 20, and missing and like 24% damage by missing the 2nd seal and talisman
My only problem with this build is I'm pretty sure Blue Dancer Charm only buffs physical damage. I just run the dragonchest greatshield talisman for that extra 20% phys dmg negation instead.
You are correct - it only buffs Physical damage, which covers Dragonmaw, Dragonclaw, Greyolls Roar, Ekzykes Decay/Rot Breath, and Bayles Flame Lightning (partially). Those are commonly used and the dancer charm is a large increase to those, but using a damage negation talisman instead is also certainly fine, especially if you are using elemental attacks more often!
Love the build and very informative video too. What would you add to this build to make it a little more viable to use daily, like using against normal enemies and such? Seems like such a waste using some of the incantations on little mobs.
This is the build I use in every scenario even at early game when my mind isn't so high. But if you want a weapon, Reduvia is the perfect weapon to supplement with - it's lightweight enough to stay low weight for Blue Dancer, gives a strong and fast very low FP cost attack with ash of war, and it's own attacks are very fast, and gives a means of bloodbloss so a 3rd status effect we can use
Smithscript daggers are cool as well at only 1.5 weight for a ranged weapon or you could go beast claws as alot of people state hand weapons are good. Really anything light weight.
I've got a guide for that! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6VYdi7CRmDk.html - you can make the fight a lot more manageable as well if you use a tanky aggressive spirit summon, and use rot breaths when its safe to do so
Godfrey Icon doesn't buff any of the Dragon Communion incantations. Dread Talisman only works on Bayles Tyranny and Theodorix Magma so only use it if you are specifically trying to maximize those two incantations
I made a new character and fought him as first DLC boss at like low lvl 100s with only 40 vigor and lvl 3 scadutree - the way I beat him was by summoning Igon and Dung Eater - while they distract him cast Ekzykes Decay until Scarlet Rot applies, then once it has, use Black Knife for another chunk of percentile based damage, if he gets close use Dragonmaw or throw Reduvia Bloodblades for bloodloss. Summon is Dung Eater because he is tanky, aggressive and great at holding aggro, and puts a debuff that reduces enemies defense by 10% The hardest part of the fight was surviving the initial start of the fight since Bayle kept punishing me hard for summoning Igon since his sign in is in the arena lol
Reduvia is the perfect pair! It scales with our main stat of Arcane. Its lightweight enough to use while staying at the max buff from Blue Dancers, gives you a fast, low FP cost midrange attack with its Weapon Skill, has very fast attacks, and gives the ability to proc Bleed as a third status option in addition to frostbite and rotten breath! And if you pick the Bandit as your starting class, you will already meet the stat requirements to use it by default
It’s probably not the best option statistically but I’ve been using the dragon hunter great katana, mostly for aesthetics but it also has innate bleed which works well with high arcane
Greyolls Roar is great in exploration for its 360 degree AoE with a huge vertical so it can hit like annoying enemies on top of ledges that you cant get to and stuff like that, but I don't use it very often in boss fights because I find that its almost always better to just go straight into doing whichever primary incantation I am going to be using for a fight, rather than taking the time to debuff them. Though, there are definitely still some fights that I do use it for - used it at the start of Fire Giant on NG+7 run for example
Flame+Lightning Tear - however I actually recommend using Bloodsucking Tear+Flame Tear, just didnt know the Bloodsucking one exists at time of recording this video
Such a shame they made Dragon Priestess transformation buff dragon cult and not dragon communion spells, they even made the hammer she has arcane. Also for this build the hammer from the quest would actually be really good and what would the build look like at sl 150?
Dragon Communion gets a form so I suppose its only fair Dragon Cult gets one too. The Hammer the priestess gives is Arcane but honestly its still good for Dragon Cult builds because you should still be going Faith/Arcane for that build and casting with the Dragon Communion seal while off handing a Gravel Stone Seal, as the Dragon Communion Seal has way higher scaling than Gravel Stone Seal, so thats actually higher damage. And if you are staying at SL150, the stats I would aim for (assuming you start as Bandit) are: 60 vigor, 30 mind, 10 endurance, 9 strength, 45 faith, 53 arcane
But all the other dragon breath spells get a significant damage increase with the roar medallion, if you don't use other dragon breath spells you could replace it with something else
Didn't want to drag out the video going over locations when so many other videos already out there covering locations of new stuff, but Ghostflame Breath can acquired at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion in Jagged Peak for 3 Dragon Hearts, Bayles Flame Lightning and Bayles Tyranny can be obtained from the same place by exchanging Bayles heart after defeating him but you only get 1 heart so have to choose one and get the other on NG+. Rock Heart can be obtained by getting a Painting in Shadow Keep and giving it to the ghost painter in Jagged Peak
@@pepperonigawd yeah thats part of the reason I didnt want to spend a bunch of time talking about locations, haha. It always annoys me when im watching an Elden ring build guide video and almost the entire video is just saying where to get things that most people already know how to get
Another great build! I'd like some clarification, though. What are the best dragon communion incantations to use? There's so many options for breath attacks and melee attacks; what I've gathered is that dragon maw, bayle's tyrrany, and the rotten or fire breath are must haves.
I might do another video comparing the damage of them all since there are so many. But, the best ones, in my opinion are: #1 Dragonmaw (incredible melee dmg, stance dmg, and has actual infinite poise) #2 Bayles Flame Lightning (similar to Maw but not as much stance dmg or poise, but higher dmg, better reach, and way better tracking) #3 Borealis Mist/Smaraghs Glinstone Breath/Ghostflame Breath, #4 Agheels Flame and Theodorix Magma, #5 Rot Breaths #7 Dragonclaw (amazing in overworld exploration as go to option for killing mobs at melee but not great against bosses cuz Maw is way better) and #8 Bayles Tyranny (p much only good as a finisher rn, needs some serious changes)
@GxGNoir Thanks for the great information. In all honesty, you should cover the different damages of the DC incantations, as it's a subject far too unexplored for this game. Also, I totally agree with the Bayle's Tyranny Incantation. As it's actually bugged! The incant itself only damages one opponent while the magma damages the other combatants; this makes it both weak in groups and far too slow when comparing it to the aforementioned Bayle Haymaker incantation.
@@LukahnTheMan yeah and right now Tyranny's damage isn't even high enough to justify using as a finisher as while it does do good damage, sometimes its just not enough when I think it will be. Feels like it needs like 30% more damage
@@GxGNoir Because use 2 Seals and no weapons make this build very hard to play on many situations. I think if you use a seal and any arcane scaling weapon is better.
@@RannoverAstair You can use the Reduvia if you want to use it with a weapon - still use 2 Seals, but just swap to the Reduvia at any time you want to use it. Its the perfect weapon for this build because the Bandit has enough stats to wield it without any extra points in str/dex, scales with arcane, and doesn't put us beyond the weight for Blue Dancer max buff, while being buffed by the Blue Dancer itself. I personally don't really ever use a weapon with the build because the Incantations do everything I could ever want, but you can absolutely implement Reduvia into the build without sacrificing anything. I suppose I shouldve mentioned it in the video - Ill add it to the pinned comment
@@RannoverAstairyou can still use a weapon with the build, I may be not using dragon communion, but I’m using dragon cult with priestess heart and it works just the same. Although with the amount of damage you’re doing to enemies with your incantations, it doesn’t matter lol, but just in case I’m using the death knight axe.
@@RannoverAstairI run a very similar build, simply use reduvia the blood pops you get with the high arcane scaling is insane, not to mention the critical damage it does is insane, easy to get using dragonmaw too
