thedarkknight646 well i think they think fresh prince is better cause it had a lot of emotional parts and it wss inspirational at times, but as far as funniest, hell naw.
As well as being funny as hell..... I listen to the one guy who (apparently) worked on stage.... he laughed out loud at practically every lol scene.... even Tommy & Pam.... you could hear them laughing too......
My martial arts instructor had first shown me this when I was in high school, and I had split my sides with laughter at it ever since then. Sadly, he had passed away earlier this year. I have him to thank for introducing me to Martin. Love you Master Ted, rest easy. 💜
@@tyeprettygirl5591 Don't forget In Living Color or living single Those shows along with Martin are the funniest shows ever Tyler Perry needs to watch 10 episodes on all 3 shows including the Jamie Foxx Show
@@whcchw Thats right; EVER! Take your trolling and negativity to St. Elsewhere! No hesitation in expressing positive acknowledgments and compliments in regards to the multitalented; Martin Lawrence!
all i wanna know is why in the hell do Kenji keep working for this nigga???...he know Dragonfly don't like to pay, anytime u gotta whip yo boss's ass for yo paycheck u in the wrong line of work lol
Dawg..This one of my favorite episodes..nigga started clapping, swinging, and choppin his teeth at nature! Lmaooo...and when he dials 911 on the atm..lmfao!!
Man I hate that, that show ended the way it did. The Martin Lawrence Show, hands down, is the best black sitcom of all times thus far, in my opinion ofcourse.
You know something is Classic and timeless when you know exactly when the joke is coming because you've seen it a million times.. and still bust out in tears 😂😂😂🤣🤣
SILENCE......SILENCE! lol if you don't think this is funny I don't know what kind of comedy you're watching! THIS is FUNNY. Martin in his prime was Chaplin type funny. His facial expressions and bodily movements were too much! I always hoped him and Jim Carrey would do something together in the 90s. They were the Craziest in the game back then! Good times as a kid watching this.
Idk if you remember but martin Lawrence audition for in living color but didn't get in but everything happens for a reason because he became the biggest comedian of the 90s and a legend that's why you see in living color guests stars on the show tommy davidson. David allan Grier. kelly coffield park. And the Korean guy I can't remember his name .
Right. He basically got his OWN skit show that intertwined with a situation comedy. These characters could've been on In Living Color, but Martin got his own show all to himself. They were all on his shit eventually anyway lol. Looks like Marty Mart won in the long run. With the exception of Jim Carrey, that dude blew up.
krlm2280 If Martin was given better scripts to work with his movies could've been better. I feel like all of the post-Eddie Murphy black comedians were given the "Eddie Murphy Formula" even if their style of comedy didn't match it. For instance, putting them in serious action movies with a comedic undertone just like Eddie in 48 hrs. Martin did "Bad Boys". Damon Wayans did "Last Boy Scout". Chris Tucker did "Rush Hour". It's the same treatment, and it gets in the way of them proving themselves because everyone expects a black comedian to be the "Next Eddie Murphy". They don't do that with any other comedian. They didn't give Jim Carrey a formula. They just developed scripts based on his comedic style, which is what they should've done with Martin Lawrence. He had the charisma and was truly funny. Some comedians who are incredibly funny don't have that movie star charisma, but Martin did. It's just that the material he had to work with sucked!
wm young that's true I know you saw Hollywood shuffle when they said they wanted the eddie murphy and Robert townsend said he wanted to be himself and he start acting like eddie murphy and the directors was excited but yeah martin should have been able to showcase all of his talent a thin line between love and hate was the only movie he was his true self because it was his movie hopefully part 2 will be good
Other than Lucille Ball, I can't think of a single television comedian who do 5 minutes of physical comedy and keep people laughing. Martin truly is a comedic genius.
Not disputing the greatness of Martin but there's also Carol Burnett, Don Knotts, John Ritter, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Richards, Jackie Gleason, Art Carney and as you mentioned Lucille Ball.
These youngsters will never know how hilarious dragonfly jones mr Otis Jerome and lil roscoe was unless they hear about them and go on RU-vid. They were more funny watching them on tv weekly when Martin came on.
