Pollen can last a in the fridge a few months if properly dried and stored with silica pack and air tight container. I've used pollen to l that was 2 months old from the fridge, and it set fruit. I did test some that was in the fridge since June of 2023, and it failed. But the frozen pollen from June of 2023 did set fruit. But I recommend freezing the pollen at the end of the season and not the beginning of it. You'll use most of it or give to others to use. Sometimes, you trade pollen with other growers depending on which variety is blooming. So you can cross pollinate, especially with self sterile varieties.
Acclimating them from the beginning. Root in shade and a they grow roots and grow. You give them more sun. Move from shade to indirect sun, to partial sun, to full sun. If you move too soon, you plant will turn yellow. Move it back into shade or indirect sunlight. It'll tell you when it's ready to go in full sun. Once they mature, they'll be able to handle to the sun better. Some dragon fruit varieties just won't do well in full sun. Providing them with shade using umbrellas or shade clothe helps.
