Dragon Lullaby 

People, please read the full description - it is not stolen. I wrote the music for the original. Fiddlegriff made this for me to put on my channel. The original is linked in the description. Thank you to all who have posted kind words. I'm very lucky to have worked with this talented animator.

"you killed my kid? congrats, you're my kid now"

There once was a foolish knight, hopeless in love was he with a maiden so young and pure you see. He heard tales of the crystal dragons, so strong and graceful they were a sight to see with crstals hearts that glowed like stars as precious as can be. They were treasured and held sacred, but the words of warnings he choice not to heed. To the mountains he rode as fast as the winds can be and there he climbed finding his prize he yearned to seek. Without a second thought he slayed a dragonling, claiming his prize and presented it to his love to be. Little did he know those legends held true for a dragon's wrath it did consume, turning maiden into dragon all too soon. Scared she fled and unsure what to do. Along the way a friend she madealong with her lover too. She proclaimed, "You ruined not one life but two!" so they set off on a journey to the Dragon's Keep. Where surely there would be answers to their problems. A crystal they did find so large and pure but time was running out you see for that cure. A dragon so enraged appeared, for she knew they would come it seems. The foolish knight and the vengeful beast engaged in a battle of spite, blaming each for their pain. The foolish knight fel in defeat, the crystal heart shattered and gleamed no more and the curse had ceased. The beast then spoke, "A life for a life, return what you stole from me!" Regret and remorse he realized the mistake he had made, "I was a fool, blinded by love it seems. I stole from you what you held so dear. Do as you please with me..." The maiden cried, "Please don't let this be, you have your life ahead of thee!" was stopped by her friend, the knight's finally clear to them. The beast did rear and let loose her flame and took back was her's and off to the heavens with her child she did flew.

This music is actually WAY better than most trash released today. The animation pairs well with the music, and it actually gives the whole thing a real feeling of justice.

Moral of the story: *Don’t* *mess* *with* *a* *mother*

Lesson: Don't screw with dragons.

This piece has stuck with me years after first hearing it. Just closing my eyes and letting it carry me always invokes so much emotion. Thank you for writing this and I hope your career has been a fulfilling on.

This animation was so amazing! I loved the story and how the mom dragon got revenge for her dead dragonet. Truly art and I wish that I was as amazing at animating as you guys are. :)

Please please PLEASE go watch the full animation by Carolyn Chrisman, its a short animated film called "Reversal of the Heart" released in 2011. This video only shows part of the animation, you can see the full story on Carolyn's channel: FiddleGriff Animation. EDIT: No no no he didn't "steal" the animation, he was the composer of the intro and outro songs to the animation. The animator has given him permission to use it and the composer gives full credit.

story to all thos who dont QUITE get it... a mother dragon is about to go hunting and nuzzling her son she tells him to stay in the cave and wait for her to return home. but as she leave soon after the little guy chases a butterfly back into the cave and soon a knight comes along with evil intent. drawing his blade he goes and he KILLS the baby dragon without mercy. the baby dragons mother senses something is wrong due to there connection and the soul bond a mother and child have and she flies back to her cave to find her son dead she then flies to the cave of dragons where the all seeing crystal is and behind her are others of her kind and they watch what happens before and after and they see the knight killing the dragon mothers son and stealing his soul gem, at least that is what i call it, and he places it to a golden necklace and rides off to meet his love the princess. but unknowing to the knight there is a cures placed on a dragons soul gem and that if it is taken from dragon without mercy or kindness or given up freely it will end up bestowing a cures on the one who wears it turning them into a dragon themselves until the cures is lifted. the knight after seeing his one true love being turned into a dragoness from the gem he stole he seeks out a wizards help in turning her back. the wizard goes and tells him that the only way to lift the cures it to destroy the the gem around her neck to free her from the dragons cures. meanwhile the princess who is now a dragon is on her own and all a lone.she had to flee her home after she was turned into a dragon. not knowing what to do she flies off to a meadow to think about what is going to happen to her now when it starts raining. the princess seeks shelter n an old barn and lays down to sleep but soon the mother dragon finds the princess and brings her to the dragons cave home where she is to live out the rest of her day. she had asked the wizard to accompany her cause they wizard was her best friend back home in the castle and he had found her a few days ago when the knight asked for his help in freeing her from the dragons curse why he went to the dragons cave to kill the mother dragon. and the mother dragon allows this but by the time they get there the knight was already there waiting for the mother dragon who's child soul gem he stole. he and the mother dragon end up fighting and seeing that she was in danger the princes goes and she jumps in front of the mother dragon protecting her and once the knights blade comes down to end the mother dragons life it hits the soul gem instead throwing the princess back. the necklace falls off her as the wizard holds the princess in his arms and she changes back to her true self. and as this happens the mother dragon goes and she pushes the broken soul gem to the knight as its power goes and lifts from the gem and looking at him with cold eyes cause of what he done. finally realizing what he had done the knight falls to his knees and excepts his fate by the mother dragon. she goes and using the soul gems power she breathes fire on the knight as the princess and wizard watch not being able to do anything as he is turned into the son that was taken from her. taking hold of her new son she goes and turning around she flies off with her new son in her jaws as the princess,who is smiling knowing he will learn a good lesson in the end, as they watch the mother and son fly off into the night. i hope this helps thos who dont quite get it with some parts missing here and there. this is the way i see it and feel it would go if some bits weren't missing hehe ^^ oh and moral of the story DON'T FUCK WITH A MAMA DRAGONS KIDS! OR ANY MAMAS KIDS for that matter :P lol

Such a beautiful melody. It reminds me of vikings and dragons and wizard and other mythological creatures..So soothing to listen to...

I'm fine, just sweating a little bit through my eyes.

When the mother dragon flew into the cave with all the other dragons I got full body chills.

Mama I can't sleep." The young dragon said to her mother as he moves towards her slowly, the mother looked, and smiles gently towards the young one. "Can you sing me a Lullaby mama?" Before even his mother could speak, he spoke up with that as he looks upwards. "Of course I can..." "Shut your eyes, don't you cry. May the dragons be your guide. Sleep now little one, it's time to go to sleep. Rest your head now, and dream a dream. Of you flying high in the sky. Come now little one it's time to sleep, may your dreams be sweet. Move across the fields, and to lay in your mothers arms. Close your eyes tightly, I am here for you. Mother loves you, and will always care for you no matter what. Your mine little dragon...goodnight."

Now I'm depressed and sad.but great song.👍

I lack the words to describe the beauty of this little musical. I have seen the full version of this and this one is no less fantastic. Well done. never meddle in the affairs of dragons for you may wind up paying the price.

How dare that guy kill that poor baby dragon

This was a really amazing story! I followed what was happening the whole time and I really love how well this was made. Honestly I'm touched and the music is beautiful yet slightly stirring and kinda keeps you on your seat. It really fits the story. I was sitting the entire time like "Oh my gosh what's gonna happen next?!" This was really amazing. Round of applause for you!

Can someone help me? I'm a bit confused about what happened. There was a mother dragon and her child, the mother dragon flew away to do something, possibly collect food, while she was away the baby dragon was killed and its gem thing was stolen, the mother became angry and flew to a nest of dragons and used a crystal to track down the man. Here's where I get confused because it shows a dragon in a field all sad, she wanders for a while before entering a building, the gem necklace breaks and there's someone holding her when she peoples a woman, the knight's there then the mother shows up, kills him, he turns into her child and then they leave and then I'm left sitting there like "what just happened?"
