She is known as a dark mage/witch using an orb/globe to do magic or killing animals/insects. She makes that face because Callum is a REAL mage no globe no killing animals and I guess she is jealous or confused. Hope this help, feel free to ask other questions.

Well, he did magic once by himself before and she was surprised later on. The AU is set before it hatched and when it was "sick" Its a little confusing as I didn't put much thought to it.
