@jensjens1997 Dragon Quest VIII was released for the ps2. 2004 in Japan, 2005 in the US and 2005/2006 (not really sure) in EU. Dragon Quest IX was released for the Nintendo DS, and Dragon Quest X (still being developed) will be released for the Nintendo Wii.

It was originally released on the PS2 and later it was introduced to the mobile app store which is widely considered the worst version ironically. (Yes, you are better off playing on the PS2 rather than your phone.) It was later remade for the 3DS. You cannot currently get it on a modern platform. I wish it was remastered for Steam but hey!
