i died over 10 times in this quest. i just beat it by watching your guide, the main thing that really gave me the boost was using dragon bolts and turning off the high intensity music lol so i could just focus on the sound efects
Dude great guide. I watched it like 3 times before I went and beat him first try. My levels are lacking but I pulled it off with no food on the last stage. This is coming from someone who died to the rune dragon stage twice.
i died to the metal dragons like 10 times so far because i just suck at the game. lmao. on galvek now though... made phase 4 first try and ran outta food.
Great guide! I put off doing these long quests for so long but just completed DS2. You're guide made the boss fight much easier than I expected it to be. Liked and subbed. Keep up the great content!
@@KhaiRs on his last phase, I got stuck in one of his whirlwinds and I thought I was absolutely fucked, killed him with a bolt spec right before his fireball could hit me... Was the most satisfying thing ever lol. Thank you!
I did it second try, thanks for the amazing guide :) I did have to resort to a dragon hunter crossbow, but i also had 83 ranged and 75 defence, so i guess it evens out :P
Looks so easy. Reading from the guide it’s intimidating but if they just simply put oh avoid tsunami there will be 1 space to pass thru every phase is the same besides that part just avoid his fireball /rock and make sure your pray is on when turned off. Guy switches spots so many times it’s no big deal 😆
For a slight potion upgrade for those having trouble, extended super antifire MIX is the best as you can upgrade your shield slot, and it heals you when you drink it.
@@chldshflmngo2283 it really doesn't lol. it's not +10% flat it's multiplicative. So 10% of 10% for diamond bolts for 1% and 10% of 6% for ruby which is .6%.
I died doing the metal dragons bc I’ve never killed an addy or rune dragon and didn’t know they had specials😂. Then I got too focused at the start like 3 times on the metal dragons and got one shot by Galvek’s fireball.
Got him down to just a quarter of his health that time. Dragon Hunter Crossbow makes a massive difference, as well as getting the mechanics down mentally!
IDK whats up but Im getting hit like 18's with same set up as you... is 99 Def like a big difference? ALso only have like 85 range... do you need 90 because im hitting too many 0's for this to make since
Gotcha. So if I can manage a range pray flick that would minimize damage there? I’m low level so I may need to. Starting the quest tonight. Great guide and I appreciate the help
@@KhaiRs I got you. On the metal dragon phase before galvek right now. Quest helper says to pray range after phase 1… but I still see alot if magic attacks so idk
After the second phase he starts to use the ranged attacks much more commonly. So u can use protect from range in the third and fourth phase but they are random. Thanks for the comment! 😄
