This scene is better than the entire movie. In fact, the scene is better than some big budget monster fights. The creature and sound design is so impressive, and you just know all of the movies budget went into this fight.
@@TheUltraDino64 La Verdad Que Sí Amigo, El Dragón De Esta Película Es Más Parecido Al Shenlong De Dragon Ball Z Que Lo Que Fue El Dragón Con Luz Cegadora De DBEvolution, Me Dí Cuenta Al Instante Cuando Ví Por Primera Vez Esta Película. PD: No Me Esperaba Encontrarte Acá xD
@@Ghidorahlauty.03Viendo el Shenron de Evolution sentía que me daba un tipo de cáncer, pero viendo a este dragón me emocioné y decía "este sí es Shenron".
This ending made me cry as Sarah says goodbye and says that she will meet again but more was the dragon that cried for the couple that the power was in her and she sacrificed herself and he was left alone If you saw the movie you know what I mean.
This film had a good opening act and a great final battle. The downsides were the slog of a second act and the green screen effects used for the closeups in this closing act. The human actors against the dark background stood out terribly, but the tradeoff is one of the best creature fight scenes I've seen in my 32 years. Hell, one of the best hero vs. villain fights. You rarely see the villain act in desperation to stop his own defeat.
Yeah. The more I think about it, the more I felt D-War much better if it's 100% South Korean film instead of what we got. So much potential in this film.
Watching this as a kid I always wondered why they never made a live action Dragon Ball Z movie but later discovered it’s Korean. I will always love the graphics and design of Imoogi and Burakhi. I love how they give them personalities, with Imoogi even crying for the two lovers at the end since they had to sacrifice their love twice for him. This is exactly the type of dragon looks I was expecting in Shang Chi, the only thing that bugged me about Shang Chi dragon is the choice of colours in its design especially the red colour.
Are we just not gonna talk about how HORRIFYING Buraki’s death was?? I mean he got hit with a fireball to the mouth. But then the fire shot ALL THE WAY down his throat and throughout the rest of his body. And he's still ALIVE and SCREAMING as his entire body is TURNED INTO FIRE. I mean Imoogi burned his soul.
Aww man I remember watching this when I was a kid and It was a blast watching this I love how a dragon snake fights a good dragon snake then turns into a chi dragon its a awesome movie.
And he also was crying for those two lovers who had to die one time and this second life the female sacrificed her life to give the power to the imoogi to transform into a dragon what I basically mean is that he cry because they couldn’t be together😢
3:32 can we take a moment to love the celestial dragon roar they did I mean listening to that roar makes me want to become a celestial dragon and soar above the clouds sky seriously well done 👏 👏👏👏👏
In the hmong culture, we believe in dragons and the afterlife. Dragons are spiritual, divine creatures that are like protectors or workers of gods. There are alot of stories and legends of supernatural entities who fall in love with mortals but its considered a forbidden love because supernatural and mortals cannot co-exist. Even the Chinese believe in the same thing, like the legend of the white snake.
I remember i was waiting this movie,s trailer in 2007 and i was child with 7 years old and was so excited to watch it and now i grew up and watched it again in 2024....guys time runs fast and life is short 😢😢
What i love about this fight is that it is not goofy, simple as that. Or like many of monsterverse fight scenes. The fight is clearly one sided, and the dragon serpent is not cracking jokes every minute, and the way they are acting is how a fantasy beast should act. They are not very humanoid, they are beasts, they have strict goals, and they accomplish them. Even tho it's so short, this fight has more (depth/weight/realism) to it than all marvel movie fights combined since endgame (besides Spiderman vs. Green Goblin in no way home) In reality, most battles should be very one-sided. You just have to find a way to actually make the ONE-SIDED battles more entertain, instead of making a goofy fight scenes where two superheroes run in circles and dance for 20 minutes until finally one of them gets the better of the other. The battles are so artificial these days, it's not entertaining at all, so lazy.
The film was highly criticized in South Korea. But other than the screenplay, it's not a bad movie. It is also a very meaningful film for the South Korean film industry. Although it suffered a loss of millions of dollars and failed commercially, it was the first K-Movie to use CG as its main feature, and it was the starting point for the founding of VFX companies that currently produce most of South Korea's film and created demand of CGI that did not exist before in South Korea. Most famous South Korean SF films were produced by studios established through these films and broadening the spectrum of K-Movies.
As much shit as people gave this movie I still have a soft spot for this movie it's the thing that makes me love like the serpent like celestial dragon deal dragon body shape I might mix pieces of different dragons together to make my own but it always has that sort of weird elegant nobility that is so lesser your dragon has
Loved this movie as a kid. Although the military lost WAY too easily. Personally it would make a more interesting movie, if Burakai figured out he waited too long and is unprepared for modern tech.
