I get the feeling each form of Frieza was supposed to have separate quotes that got scrapped after the second form, but they left the second form quotes in anyway.

I must appreciate how Frieza’s second form seems to have unique dialogue towards each character as opposed to repeating the same lines in all his other forms

Wow you can really tell how early this was for Chris' frieza voice. He tried to make it sound like Linda with the raspy tone. I think where he has it now is the definitive dub frieza voice

I love how second form frieza loses his temper and has more intimidating quotes than the other of his forms.

listening to this vs young's take on the same lines makes it so clear why funi recast her in the first place... she really sounds like she's struggling on a lot of her takes and meanwhile ayres manages to make them sound practically effortless. rest in peace :(

Hearing this now, feels like this was one Chris Ayers's early attemp at Frieza. Here Frieza sounds more raspy to me. Chris really refined is portail of the character later on. Rest in peace

Oh god yes lol. Definitely the hardest one i've done so far because not only does he have a special quote with the majority of the cast, but so do pretty much all of his transformations. And THEN taking into account doing it with characters with transformations like Goku and Vegeta., I worked on some last week, and I literally spent all day compiling quotes yesterday and then having to continuously beat my opponents to get the end quotes. And this isn't even counting the editing hell.

It seems like some of Frieza's second form quotes is something his father would say, like against transformed Zarbon. Every one of his forms say the same thing against monster Zarbon except for the second form. I'm guessing it's like that since Frieza's second form looks like King Cold.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks Dancing Mad matches up well with Freeza.

If they were going to use Chris Ayres as Frieza for this game then he shouldn't have had to re-record all of Linda Young's lines from the old games. I grew up with Linda Young's Frieza but the more I listen to Chris Ayres' Frieza the more it's growing on me. However, hearing someone else say the lines I've heard Linda Young say in the games for years sounds...strange to me. It's been years since I've played a DBZ game (the last being Budokai Tenkaichi 3) but I still remember almost all of Frieza's pre/post battle quotes and any I didn't remember hearing them in this game jogged my memory. As such, it took me aback somewhat but then again, I've only been playing RB2 for two days. Who knows, hearing Chris Ayres' take on these lines over and over again might warm me up to them over time.

There's something about Raging Blast 2 that makes the quotes more interesting.

Yeah, you're right. After doing Kid Goku themes, I wont be able to do characters who has a huge amount of character quotes for awhile. I'll try to get hirudegarn+tapion quotes(maybe a few other characters) to fit 3-4 minutes and get a good majority of kid goku quotes

Having Dancing Mad be the background music somehow works for Frieza.

You can tell some of these lines are when Ayers was getting used to the role in my opinion.

Okay. It's just that Chris Ayres made Frieza sound like an over-the-top bad guy seen in old cartoons. Linda Young, however, made Frieza sound like a real evil being.

Simply awesome, love that they started using his Kai voice for the games. Looking forward to Battle of Z to hear more of him. Plus, Beerus being in that game is pretty awesome too.

If I'm right this was one of Chris Ayers' first times voicing Frieza, because it sounds like he's trying to imitate Linda Young as much as possible.
