uh no. people seem to forget what really happened. yes, yemma sent him to heaven because hell would have been like home to him, but dabura didnt realize this. he thought yemma saw good in him and sincerely thought it meant he was never meant to be evil and he changed his ways. it was an unintended outcome, but hell if yemma is gonna complain that he managed to reform the demon king.
Nah it’s literally because they sanitized him. He was still evil but if they sent him to hell and left him as is, it wouldn’t be punishment. So they “cleansed” him and sent him to heaven which is why he acts good here.
Just a small detail, Dabura wasn't a demon from HELL/HFIL, which is part of the afterlife, but a demon from the Demon World, a kind of parallel world in the realm of the living.
Yeah, Otherworld in Dragonball seems to just be a different dimension with it's own planets and locations. Since it's where all the Kai's live and where Heaven, Hell and inbetween are. I feel it's maybe a side effect found very early in time that everyone who dies ends up in Otherworld but there are loads of other ways to get there, so it is clearly a solid place that exists. I mean Goku can just instant transmission into and out of it whenever he wants.
Dabura wasn’t exactly a bad character, he had the “M” symbol on his forehead, so he was controlled. Look at him talk to those women so easily and respectfully, doesn’t seem like something a demon would do

And Dabura was basically the ruler of hell, so it wasn't hard to get a chain on him. But it's implied that at some point Dabura got sick of the horrendous thing that babidi made him do causing him a change of heart and that's the reason he is in heaven now, yet he still couldn't release from babidis control

@Vortex _Z No Gt is a Side story that is not a part of the Main story, Therefore it isn't canon. DBZ on the other hand has some parts that isn't canon. The Other World Tournament saga isn't Canon because it isn't apart of the original story and it's filler episodes. Heaven Dabura, Bulma, Chi Chi and Videl isn't canon because it's a filler and side story of the Buu saga. Pikkon isn't canon because he had a conflict with Janemba and he was in Other world. Basically Non canon means it happens, but Its not apart of the main story. Or basically a Side Story of Filler episodes that dont interact with the main story

Non Canon isn't a bad thing tho, it happens but only to distract us from the Main Story that's taking place. Perhaps (DBZ) Broly, Janemba, Turles, Lord Slug, Cooler, Super 17, (Eis Nuova and Omega Shenron), Baby, Shadow Dragons, Bojack, Android 13 and Tapion isn't Real and isn't Canon. But people that are Non-Canon that still appear in the canon anime is Pikkon, Heaven Dabura, Tarble and Garlic Jr.

While I can understand and appreciate that over the years Videl would have settled a bit, I sure wish she'd kept her DBZ personality. I haven't finished Super but so far she's barely had any screentime and for once, a love interest was actually an excellent decision.

Okay, but Videl really does have some serious intuition, especially when it comes to Gohan. She pegged both of his superhero identities from the very beginning, she just needed him to oust himself. She very quickly connected those dots to the Cell Games and correctly deduced that it was Gohan when it could have been any one of them that delivered the killing blow. Now she somehow knows that the boy isn't dead. Weirdly specific superpower, but it's day had come.
Does anyone else think it would be funny if while they were shouting Gohan's name, Goku's grandpa shows up and says "Yes, I'm Gohan, what do you want?"
Dragon ball Logic: Dabura is king of hell and was evil hearted (note: vegeta wished back everyone that was killed by MB that was not evil and Dabura is still dead) and goes to heaven. Vegeta helped Gohan defeat cell, saved him, and sacrifices his life to save earth. Goes to hell. *shrug*
The real question is why didn't he do this to guys like Broly and Cell ? I mean shit if this was a way to turn super powerful difficult to control bad guys good then he should have taken advantage of it. And after they became purified make them his Otherworld enforcers/officers! Though I don't know if I could bear seeing Broly and Cell act like dabura! Hopefully they would act a bit differently. Maybe Broly would act like goku who is a pure hearted saiyan ? It would be very interesting.
dungbell20 non of the movie characters actually exist in the anime and manga plus, Dabura is about as strong as SSJ 2 Gohan (Teen) and also is fueled by evil, so of course he is sent to where is no evil.

And of course there is proof when Goku even states in the manga that he is stronger than Cell by saying "Seven years ago we fought Cell. Dabura's probably at about that same power level." then saying "Well even if that wasn't his full strength, he would have been a strong opponent a while ago" referring to him being about the same strength as Cell at full strength. Later during the fight when Dabura starts using magic Goku concludes the monologue saying "He's a lot stronger than I thought." I think this is proof enough for one to assume that Dabura is stronger.
A highlight of this saga in my opinion, just for how funny it got. Honestly, to me, this is one of the darkest sagas in the series. The Saiyan saga, we only lost a handful of main characters. The same with the Freiza saga. The Android and Cell saga, we barely lost anyone really. But in this one, literally almost every character gets killed. They all get brought back, like pretty much every saga in the series, but still, not only do the characters who fight all the time die, but so do characters who almost never die, like Bulma, Chi Chi, etc. Seeing Bulma, (someone who's been in the series since the first episode and has remained a big character), dead was honestly depressing. I actually cheered once everyone was brought back with the Namekian DragonBalls.

Looking back, Dabura was a real chad. King Yemma knew he would enjoy hell more, but he just went along with being in heaven and found peace. Meanwhile Frieza hated being in a weird cocoon thing in his peaceful personal hell.

dbzgal04 Technically no one in the DB world has a body in the afterlife, only special exceptions or people who do good like Goku are allowed to keep their bodies. So this whole scene is really just bad filler that contradicts much of the established story.
