@@MrPrankmastergeneral It is. MLP lore is surprisingly well thought out considering the target audience. Like when Queen Chrysalis invaded with her changeling army a pony country of Timbucktu and destroyed it in a single day, vanquishing their King, The Pegasi known Orion, who acted as the commander of the local forces, in single combat, before draining him of his magic, but was defeated in turn with the arrival of Queen Celestia and her elite guard, putting an end to what was a successful campaign that the changeling war leader was conducting.
old warcraft? my brother in christ, cataclysm's ending was literally written by metzen and it was somehow several times more cringe than anything that followed. people also have a nack for forgetting that orgimmar was built with the help of a god dam panda.
@@totalscrub1960 Dunno what you're talking about, I'm a fan since WC2 and started to dislike WoW with BfA, and closer to the end of it. Everything before was fine.
@@GranitWall Did he even have a part in this? I mean he did come back when Dragonflight was already released so I doubt he was able to influence the story much for that.
there's a difference between story writing and dialogue writing. Story writes don't write any of the dialogue, nor do they make the cutscenes or decide what's in them.@@GranitWall
How is it possible? I expected so little from My Little WoW, Friendship is Magic. Yet they somehow still managed to utterly, ruthlessly, criminally disappoint me.
its as boring but not as bad id say. Shadowlands completely ruined the lore. Dragonflight's just eh its more self contained lore. Different shades id say
Oh god no, Shadowlands is still god awful abomination that should be excised from the lore, this is just lame and forgettable. They're on completely different levels of badness.
Whoever is in charge of writing the stories for WoW today should probably be fired. Sorry not sorry. This is just bad. "Through the power of love and friendship, we can come together and defeat evil!" Ok? Was this written by a 5 year old?
So...how long until they reveal Azeroth was actually self-serving villain all along and we just didn't understand the nature of cosmos enough to realize? Elune will probably be the same.
To be honest this would be a pretty hardcore ending and im all for it. Time to get dark and gritty. Enough of the feel good BS. Telling small scale stories (not world ending threats) is not the same as not having teeth and being all sunshine an rainbows all of the time. Blizzard seems to have a hard time grasping this concept. This is a game for adults atp, time to ajust accordingly.
@@ZavhallaTV Oh no, the Disney part will stay. They'll just retcon Azeroth and Elune the same way they did Light since Xe'ra and Titans starting this expansion. Benevolent forces will turn morally grey, deconstructing them for the sake of more bosses in the future and negative forces will also turn morally grey like they did with Death in Shadowlands to get new settings. They are just not creative enough to continue without their story eating itself.
It would be great to reveal that was the reason Sargaras tried stabbing the world soul of Azeroth. With all the old god void shit that’s plagued the planet it would make a ton of sense that the world soul was corrupted ages ago
@@Daftanemone Sargeras wanted to kill for the same reason he tried to kill everything else in the universe... he wanted to prevent the void lords from corrupting it and creating a "dark titan".
@@ZavhallaTV While I agree that WoW should get darker, making Azeroth the villain makes just no fucking sense in every way imaginable. Like what you want to do, Mr. Tough Guy? Slaughter your own planet that gave you life, that you fought for for the last X years? Do you realize that basically the whole of Warcraft is about protecting Azeroth from forces that want to abuse her? Does wanting to sustain yourself make you a self-serving villain? Jeez, go play Dark Souls or punch the wall or something....
@@KosmataBradva he basically created the whole universe. Not everything will be up to par considering the franchise is 25+ years old some things will be better some will be worse
I haven't played WoW since Bfa launched and I don't know why I still care enough to check all of this out. It's sad, really. Every damn expansion they feed us the same fkin tropes and we all gobble it up like total asshats. This story is laughable at best.
Did... this cutscene even say anything? I don't know WoW particularly well. However it didn't say much about the Titans, the powers received from them, these new powers, or how being a family mattered to the situation. It sounded like a lot of empty words and was packaged as some grand conclusion.
lmao anyone who thinks Blizzard announcing the next three expacs is somehow a good thing is insane. THey've proven their inability to tell a proper story within two years time and time again and im supposed to believe they can do it for the next 6???
@@Lothar-Wolfsbane he still need to build up ONTOP this whole mess. The game have AWFUL level of phacing where anything and everythign get solved into a single patch cycle, now scale it into 6 expansions... Or they make so much filler for cover 6 years of "content" or they just hope people will blindly buy 3 exp cause they "need to see the whole saga before judge it" If they don't also fire the whole team that led us here, Metzen will bend the knee... Plus we still have ION, wich give lil to no hope
@@alessandroseverino8222 normally you would be right but….what they announced makes it clear they plan on starting off right after legion ended. They are basically ignoring battle for Azeroth , shadow lands and dragon flight . Not entirely but the story they are trying to tell is one based on the ending on legion. They never mentioned battle for Azeroth or shadow lands or dragon flight story threads. (Queen Azshara death or Sylvanas Windrunner exile or the aspects reclaiming their powers.)
So they just squished FF14 realm reborn final boss cinematic + Fast and Furious "family" dynamic. The dragon aspects, the protectors of the world couldn't figure that out? The first questlines in the expansion are about turning on all the dragon crest stones or whatever they're called. All the characters were like: "hm, strange, the lights aren't powerful by themselves. what could this mean?".
This is 6months late but how can you equate dragon kind coming together to be about friendship when it’s about mending bonds that were broken during the formation of the aspects and them losing their powers due to their brother neltharion?
I miss the days when WoW was about Bikini Battle Babes and Bulky Badass Barbarians smashing skulls with Bloodlust Orcs and Wicked Undead because they are the enemy.
I am scratching my head, Azeroth IS an infant Titan is she not. So their powers ARE Titan in origin. Or is that what they are alluding to. Azeroth might be something special and something else entirely. Or she relied on her Elemental Lords around her world body to bless them all with their power? Giving them not Titan power, but rather Elemental power.
They made a huge mistaken killing of Garrosh and Nazgrim. They made the Horde Great again. Then they remove the biggest badass left in the Horde, Sylvanas and her buddy Nathanos. Kill of Saurfang? Sure. What do we get in Return? The REPUBLIC OF FRIENDSHIP AND KONGO.
I canceled my subscription two months ago and was worried for a moment I might miss something awesome. Clearly, I need not have worried. This is awful storytelling and awful rendering.
This is horrible dialogue , do not tell , show. Why do they need to complete each others sentences, seems like they are all children and imature especially the blue dragon sounds like a 5years old, *Its about family* that delevery line made me laugh out loud it was executed so cringy. 😂😅😁 The expansion was overall good and Interesting definetely better than shadowlands.😉
This is an end game cinematic… how pathetic. Wotlk had a higher quality rendered cinematic with more creativity than… whatever this is. Oh how the mighty have fallen. So sad to see my.. our, beloved game turn into this garbage.
This is not titan magic, it's of Azeroth. It's all cool and shit, but Azeroth is a titan lol. Blizz, stop drinking milk, hire writers who can write, this is stupid.
I’m a returning player and my conclusion is they need to bring legion type class experience and stop focusing on themes people don’t care about. The game is fun but the story is lame.
Is Vyranoth now the strongest among the 6 current Aspects? She's a full on primal incarnate. She is already at an aspect level of power. She was never depowered. By further empowering her, she has now double upgrades/blessings unlike the other 5. Her power is equivalent to 2 aspects.
I dont think she is that much stronger than the other. The blessing is directly from Azeroth (which at this point I doubt is a titan at all). But what aspect has she become? We have life, nature, magic, earth and time. So is she like the aspect of water/winter?
I'm wrapping up Day of the Dragon right now which is a genuinely great book.. there's just no comparison between how the aspects were portrayed back then vs now
Why does everyone talk so slow? Have the people in charge ever had a fucking conversation? I can't stop noticing this shit, everyone is trying to have the most dramatic sounding dialogue ever.
Its a bit frightening knowing that bluey a show for preschoolers has more serious and deeper lesson, moments then wow at this point. "We are a family" cue for dance party moment with everyone
Alexstrasza saying "we just needed to come together as a family" would've been a good line for if they DIDN'T get their aspectral powers back. It feels so cheap. Getting their powers back is fine and all but seriously who wrote this dialogue? Are they hiring toddlers?
Nah, no justifying anything in this one. The expansion character's "OC DO NOT STEAL" design, the cheesy cliché, nothing. Alexstrasza is an over 10k years old dragon, aspect of life and mother of the red dragonflight. If her dragon nature would have allowed her to have this "friendship of magic" idea she would have had it before the Tauren figured out how to smoke pipes.
Jesus christ lmao. This legitimately looks and sounds like the ending of an animated kid's movie... Like My Little Pony, but dragons. 🤣 It sounds like FF14 anime dialogue.
Atleast ff14 can build up and keep up their story telling rather than retcon it so many times even the devs don't know the fuck they're doing. Plus is way more dark and grim than this whole rainbow parade
