MAB showed me how to do an arpeggio after a clinic in the early '90s. Everyone left, he stayed, and I just walked up to him and asked. He had me grab a guitar off of the wall and sat with me. When I understood and played one slowly he cranked up his amps and did a one-minute shred of arpeggios at full volume just for me and my friend. He has always been a cool dude, and an amazing guitar player with so much talent that he has worked so hard on for so many years. I hope to meet him again. Much respect for this guy.

MAD is such a nerd, maybe even "dork" but man, that just makes him seem so much greater and relatable. I never got a chance to meet him back in my band days. I met a lot of singers, guitarists, but I always imagined MAB to be quiet, brooding, torutured artist type. Instead, he's like a big happy dog. God bless him! Im actually a long time MAB fan (cant find many of the albums these days so had to rip CDs for the car) but I do have a few Nitro albums even though I was more Trash. Rock on!

Epic...I have a newfound respect for Michael. I loved the interaction between them as players! Kudos to Michael for invoking Bach as an inspirational model! Bach had an enormous output and much of it was instructional. The Two Part Inventions and the Partitas for sure. Very likely the six 'cello suites as well which are really 36 interwoven compositions. This is cool! Since i heard Herman Li for the first time in 06 i always thought it would be cool to see him collab with Batio and here we are, almost 20 years later seeing it happen! Thanks pal! I could never grind the guitar even near any of you two! And believe me i've tried to the point where i left my guitar on the wall for good some years ago, I just cant level up anymore and the skills are not good enough, and when i can't evolve anymore i just finally gave up. i knew a scale on piano for many years, a blues scale. that was it, then in 2017 slowly started teaching my self piano, and bought an electric piano, i evolved until the mid tangent died, and instead of using money to fix that, i parked the piano for now at least. So 2 months ago i bought a beginners P-bass, and on these 2 months I've become better on bass than i am on guitar in my opinion at least. So i ordered a fretless J-bass from Fender which i got 2 days ago and i'm gonna grind that bass with the focus i should have given guitar as younger. Why the bass, well... I now understand the song " i feel it in my fingers" more than before, always thought it was a guy in love with a woman's gaze but he is feeling the love of the music threw his fingers, gotta be that, because with bass i can totally lean alot more into the music. I'm hoping to get close to as good or better than Pastorius, which is a big bite to swallow but the dedication i have had for music has had a comeback in my life, where music has been everything for me to "music is paused" to music came back to me and now it's not gonna let me go anywhere without it so yeah, i want to leave some good music behind made by me before i die, i don't care if i don't earn a dime on it, i just want to create something that i can sit and dig AND play, and hopefully more ears will enjoy the music i will make. WOW what a long comment right? I know, my ADHD don't know when to stop, and i'm sorry for that! Anyways, if i get big one day ill invite you both for a collab album where i do the bass :) Big fan of you both!

That'll never happen. Yngwie's playing has gone down the tubes in recent years because of his stubborn refusal to play guitar when not on stage and in front of a camera. He's too proud to have younger guitar players show him up in front of hundreds if not thousands of potential watchers.

@@harpsdesire4200 Yeah I agree, it will never happen with Malmsteen. Years ago Paul Gilbert tried to do a duet with Malmsteen and PG came up with the tune Viking Kong for that. But at the end, Malmsteen refused to collaborate with him. He joined the G3 where he played with Vai and Satch, whom he sees as peers, but his ego is really something else especially with younger players. You can get an interview with Yngwie and he'll show his guitars that's about it.
