@Ebrahim Mostafa it's in their nature. And if ur referring to Vhagar's viciousness, being blown fire in the face isn't really granny's fave thing. Aside from that, she's a war dragon so all hell broke loose when Arrax blew flames on her face.

That's going to be the saddest part of the show, seeing all the dragons die. The war basically ends them as the Targaryen's war machines due to losses.

in rhaegal's case heading back to dragonstone

First time Dany left dragonstone with all of her dragons, Viserion died, killed by the night king. Second time Dany left with her remaining dragons, Rhaegal got injured in the long night but later killed by a scorpion bolt when returning to Dragonstone. Third time Dany left Dragonstone with her dragon, the mother of dragons herself was killed.

I don't know if we'll be seeing Tessarion. They haven't shown Prince Daeron yet.

I took it as Arrex being so terrified he flamed Vhagar. Vhagar was not having any of that bleep and took care of business. Vhagar obeys Aemond when she wants to, he has no real control over her.

In the series, but in the book Maelor faced his brother Aenys and the description of the fight is very similar to the fight we see in the show between Arrax and Vhagar. Maelor's ride was Balerion and Aenys's ride was a she dragon just a little bigger than Arrax called Azogue

*Her* It is a production error. Syrax should have been bigger. Nyra has been on Dragonstone for 6 years now and the dragons roam free there, there is no pit. Dragons do not stop growing, even in chains. The issue with the last dragon was that it was always kept in a cage, therefore having no wing or exercise space available. The dragons of HotD were flown regularly and given plenty of food and exercise. Syrax is said to be one of the largest dragons on the side of Team Blacks. She was massive. Just like the direwolves in GoT, Syrax was looked over in favor of us getting to see Vermithor.

There is no rhaenarys in this series.

They mention briefly how dragons held in captivity grow rather slower and possibly smaller. But in reality (no spoilers) the later generations of dragons did not even have a chance to age as much and grow bigger because of all the events taking place in the dance of the dragons. Balerion, Vhagar, these older beasts are far larger than any that came after and are like 200years old. Syrax was a young small dragon with no previous rider when Rhaenyra bonded with it. Syrax can’t even be 30 somethings years old. Sorry for geeking out, but the lore GRRM has created is incredible.

Your theory is 50/50. Maybe when the Dance starts do the dragons get provoked into battle, but that is not necessarily true for all dragons and their riders. The bond is deep yes, but most dragons, outside of Caraxes and Vhagar, hadn’t seen battle with each other. Even Balerion didn’t irritate or fight with Vhagar or Meraxes and they were all battle hardened dragons. Arrax wasn’t provoked by Luce. Luce was trying to calm him down as soon as he was out the Storm’s End hall. He spoke to him in high Valyrian telling him to ”calm down”, “listen to me” and “pay attention”. Luce didn’t want a fight at all. His main goal was getting them home. Arrax was frightened of Vhagar (a larger and more menacing dragon) and the fear the felt by Luce. After Vhagar kept attacking them due to Aemond’s ignorance of Vhagar’s temperament, only then did Arrax blast the fire towards Vhagar. He acted out of his own accord, Luce didn’t want that. He scolded Arrax the moment it happened. Arrax simply reacted in a way that is conducive to a dragon of his size and age. The issue is with the antagonist ways of Aemond and not understanding Vhagar is her own being. He has no knowledge of Vhagar and her initial purpose. Vhagar’s age and again, temperament is something to be noted. She was born and bred for battle, she was used to hunt and rain down hell. She is the only remaining dragon from Aegon’s Conquest. That fire from Arrax is a reminder of the carnage and war days, especially from Dorne. Baelon and Laena are the only riders of out of Vhagar’s 4 that didn’t use her for battle. Not even Daenerys provoked her dragons to battle unless she really needed to. and when she did, she only used Drogon. But, even Drogon is not exempt for acting on of his own accord. Example of that is when he killed that the little girl of the farmer and kept eating the sheep. He also ran away on his own while Viserion and Rhaegal stayed with their mother and were imprisoned for a deed they did not commit. Daenerys didn’t know if they would do the same crime Drogon did.

@@M.Elle- Drogon was an Alpha and therefor more headstrong than Viserion and Rhaegal. He had several times he got snappish, literally, at Daenerys. Vhagar I look at as the same, very much an Alpha. I think she was content to terrorize Arrax until he had the gall to actually attack her, then it was on, and Aemond is not strong enough(not much more than a strong beta) to make her do anything.

Vhagar fed herself. She was too large for the dragon pit and would stay on one of the sand dunes of KL coasts. She would go to Aemond when called for.

vhagar luikely hunted for what she could. its possible she went from hunting landbeasts and began focusing on aquatic prey too, snatch up a shark or two. why she kept by the ocean.

It's not about that. Arrax disobeyed Luke as well because it was scared. That happened to show that Viserys was right about them controlling the dragons being an illusion. Dragons bond but they also have their own will.

Because he was? Arrax was probably like a decade old, Vhagar is a 180 year old war dragon. it makes sense that Arrax is dwarfed by Vhagar. Arrax was basically a 3yr old toddler compared to a 30yr old football player

@@dw3134 Of course I would, but that is regardless of the outlook. Elephants aren't scary looking either, but their size makes them scary. Vhagar looks entirely different from the other dragons, the designers wanted to make her unique, and they ended up with this design. This design doesn't work for her, because it just doesn't align with her story. She looks like if she was a monstrosity made by some dark lord like Sauron, she looks evil and corrupted or something like that. She doesn't command respect with this design, it only makes her look disfigured.

I think that these scenes are still in the acceptable category, there are other ones in this show that look completely fake
