The house of the dragon bad boy, Daemon Targaryen, steals an egg from the king and his daughter. The hand of the king goes to dragonstone, where the egg is to retrieve it. Unsuspectingly, Caraxes shows up with Daemon but right after, Syrax enters into play as a show of power that equals the standing ground.

Caraxes is older than Daemon, Caraxes' first rider was actually Rhaenys' father (Viserys and Daemon's uncle) Ameon. Caraxes won't let anyone harm his wingman though.

This scene is perfect. It embodies the tension building previous to the dance of dragons. It gives a little glimpse of how destructive and visceral a war by Targaryens against Targaryens would be. Rhaenyra and Daemon are truly the blood of the dragon. They bring fire and blood alongside them.

Makes sense though he’s not a thick dragon like drogon so his roar would be more high pitched and shriller just as vhagars roar would probably be very deep and bassy just from the sheer size of her, however did the sound design did so well on it because each dragon has its own unique sound and it’s not just the same roar it’s actually based on size and build of the dragons obviously the smaller ones will have tiny higher roars and the bigger ones will have deeper roars but caraxes whose lanky has a higher pitch

The details!! I haven’t noticed if all the Dragons are like this but I’ve noticed that when Caraxes has to do tough things, like intimidation displays and roaring, etc…his eyes are like a shark; they roll back white so that the squishy part is protected. I just love that detail!! So real! I love my looong nek-boi

the measurements of the dragons in a lot of these size comparison videos are their last known measurements before they died/disappeared. we're still at the very start of the series, trust that all of these dragons will grow as we progress through the story

The dragons in Rhaenyra's times, were housed in the Dragon Pit in confined spaces.....Dragon lore states that if dragons were kept in confined spaces, they would stop growing..the last of the tamed huge dragons was Vahghar who was too big to house in the Dragon Pit by the time it was built and completed...the only huge dragons left by the Dance of the Dragons, were Vahghar and the wild dragons Grey Ghost, Sheep Stealer and Cannibal who roamed free in Dragonstone....

I really hate to say it but my god Caraxes in this is just a disappointment to me.. He looks really odd and kind of goofy and that roar is just awful.. It sounds like someone scratching a window with a knife while simultaneously rubbing their hand really hard across a balloon. Idk maybe I'm just too partial towards how awesome Daenery's dragons looked and how bad ass their roars were. I love the rest of this series but these dragons just really aren't as good as I expected them to be.

Danny's dragons were abnormal. They grew way faster than they should have. Caraxes and the rest of the dragons present in the dance have very detailed descriptions. Not all of them are going to look like the three in GOT. Caraxes is specifically noted to be deformed, hence why it's roars sound so strange and it looks almost snake-like in appearance compared to Syrax.

He is gonna grow on you, when I first saw the hotd dragons I felt underwhelmed, but then as I closely inspected them, especially caraxes, I began to realise and acknowledge the effort put into this dragon, this dragon to me is truly a wonder , he is like a flying serpent, u say goofy I say elegant and graceful especially when he takes flight , he got more wings then the other dragons , he has that protective layer /eyelid/membrane that covers his eyes sometimes just like a bird of prey, maybe the others will also have it but I've only seen it on caraxes. Oh yes and that neck ,I LOVE IT!!!!!

Caraxes is as appropriate to the books as it gets ... If you thinks all the dragons are gonna look like GOT dragons you are wrong .. the books have detailed descriptions and each dragon is supposed to have its own characteristics... Caraxes is a deformed dragon and that's why it has this snake like body and abnormally long neck but is fierce asf. The other dragons in the upcoming season will also look different and be distinguishable from one another. And Syrax is still a young dragon it's just as old as her...

Dani's dragons. grew fast within a few years. And each dragon has unequal growth, i.e. born at the same time, each one is not equal. As far as I've read the novel.
