Thanks, In Chicago and it's in the 70's this week in November and I needed to see how to drain. I need to take down for the winter. It was such a great thing to have during cortine. Can't wait for spring!!
I put my hot tube into my garage. It is great for the winter too. My garage is connected to my house so I have room for my car and the tub all year around. yeaaaa
I wish it was still 300 😂 I paid almost $1000 for mine. They must have jacked the price because everybody on quarantine haha Good video glad I clicked on it I almost tried to drain the hot tub without using that white thing 😂
Great video thank you for sharing I am a new hot tub owner I got an intex inflatable hot tub pure spa plus I haven't set it up yet Because it's winter here in Ontario Canada but once spring comes I will be for sure have a beautiful day God bless you always
It would heat up much faster with the lid on, also try putting a weight over the drain plug to keep it fully open, the water flow when draining will cause the plug to tend towards the closed position thus draining slower.
Great video! My parents gave us their only used once hot tub and I was nervous about draining it to move it to our home but this video helped. PS I'm from Louisiana too. I can't wait to have it set up and soak my stress away. 😁
We've had ours now for 4 full summers. No problems ever. Ours is an Intex 6 person bubble spa. We gave 478.00 for it in 2019 and yes they have doubled in price.😮
thanks, I didn't remember how to set up the filter / bubble unit for cleaning. I love this tub, I actually have it in my basement and built a platform for it. We set up our basement as a gym and the tub is great for after I think we paid a little over 300 last year for it. great tub and the bubbles are actually great.
I did that too, only it was in my garage along with my gym equipment. I laid the children's rubber mats on the floor and then put what they sent to us on top of the mats. This helped insulate the spa batter.
Hi.. i didn't get mine back in the bag.. i just laid it out , did the best i could flattening it , rolled it up , not too good lol, and put in my shed ..
Hi.. I havnt really paid much attention to the bill. If you are using it regularly the yes you will keep it running so it will stay hot. Also Tom , in the comments below, is correct, if you keep the lid on it heats up quicker and stays very hot...
Hello Mr. Stubbs thank you for your video. I had no clue there was a part to drain it and to clean the pump itself. I do have a question, how did you get any settled water where the bubbles come out. Ours sat for some time because I had had back surgery. It had gotten some mildew in it. We cleaned it and as soon as I turned on the bubbles a lot of the settled water in the bubble strip that put dirty water back into the tub. Is there a way to put a hose and cleaner into the bubble strip to flush any dirt in it? Also do you know if you could run some cleaner thru the pump to flush any nasty water that may have sat in the pump? It could very well have been dirty water in the pump that when turned on got the new water dirty. Again, thank you so very very much. Any advice would be great. Have a great day!
Hockeymom #67 hey there so sorry for the delayed response... I think that would be a great idea. . to add cleaner and flush it through the part that makes bubbles.. I think key is to use it often enough that it doesnt sit.. I used mine last winter but havnt used it this winter yet. if you flush the part that makes the bubbles enough there shouldn't be enough water in there to settle and mildew up to badly. . when I bring mine back out if it has a smell or anything I will clean it that way and see how it goes.. take care, hope you back heals quickly and all is well.. take care.
@@lstubbs71 thank you for your response. We live in Florida so ours is up and running all year. But with my back surgery I just hadn't used it and we needed to do a deep clean so we had turned it off. Ot was a rough time with the back surgery and emergency gallbladder removal that was 3hrs from home so we just didn't have time to drain it and leave it with nothing. Do you ever have the problem with the magnetic piece with the white pin in the pump? We have been thru 3 already in a year and half. We finally made a couple instead of getting a new pump because they won't sell just that piece.
Do you have your spa run through an extension cord? Thought it might trip the breaker. Was thinking about buying one of these, but will need to use an extension cord. Anyone with any knowledge or experience with this and if it will work?
Yes.. take a while.. ive seen several comment... of draining the air and lerting enough drain out the side until you can flip it over... i didnt really feel like flooding my porch though lol
I do but many use bromine. Bromine takes longer but lasts longer. Chlorine works quicker which is what I need but either is not costly. Some use ONLY baking soda but I didn't want to risk losing my warranty but it can do the trick super fast also.
I do use Chlorine... only to keep the water clear and clean... I use a Chlorine shocker powder , a big jar of powder to increase alkalinity , and a big jar of powder for PH levels. also there is a small floating device that holds chlorine tablets... I use that as well. all can be bought from Walmart..
You know an easier way is to let some air out of the hot tub and push the tub down and let the water out that way then add more air to the tub turn it to the side spray the tub out and fill it back up. Bam simple as that.
It took about a hour or so. We used a pump. Then what ever little bit is left we sucked with a shop vac. Just so that when we tip on its side to take off screen porch ot doesn't get all over.
