i remember when i was a boy they splash me several time and i have to walk completely soaked to home, i hate this people. however some kind (normal?) people normally have merci and slow down
We used to have a camp down near a river and the access road regularly used to flood after a substantial rain. We used to laugh our butts off when people would come flying down that road, flood their engine and then come to a stop in relatively deep water. We would sit on the porch and bet each other how long they would sit there like boobs before they got out of their cars and got their feet and shoes wet. This was back in the days before cellphones to call for help. We actually had one lady lower her window and motion for us to come help her. Then my Dad yelled back to her that he didn’t want to get His shoes wet. We used to get an even bigger laugh when some of them finally made their way over to our cabin. My Father had a great sense of humor. He would tell people that we deliberately installed that Foot Bath and he then told them the Charge was $1.00 each way so they owed us $2.00. Most people didn’t laugh but many got the joke and it made the bad day a bit more tolerable.
@@Dankleberrrrg probably the mentality that it’s like going through mud you need some wheel speed or you’ll get stuck. When, as you probably know, it’s actually the opposite. You don’t want to hydroplane or get water into the intake. At any rate it is what it is. Live and learn or learn from watching others screw up.
people are just so inconsiderate, driving past someone they obviously know they're going to splash and still dont care. Sad to see, props to you for taking it like a champ and carrying on with what you're doing though post!
This mentality of intentionally splashing someone with your car, cutting people off on highways, tailgating and riding up behind the car in front of you to intimidate them are all driving habits that ignorant and arrogant people have been practicing for decades. Adults let their teens drive this way after they demonstrated their “ examples” of idiocy. Road rage can turn deadly. How America has morphed into negative behaviors correlates with the blatant lack respect for each other, from persistent bullying to outright bigotry and hatred. Simply put, this country should be ashamed of our own actions….. and the examples we set for children.
@@duomaxwell2293 do you also have laws on how to take a dump? Don't get me wrong, you shouldn't splash other people, but does it really need mama state to take care of this, is it not much more a problem of a too individualistic society?
Hey the other day I unclogged the drain in front of my apartment after it got backed up with sticks and trash and pine needles from a prolonged downpour. I had my high vis vest and steel toed boots from a job I had a few years ago, and I just kicked at the stuff until it cleared and the water drained from waist deep to fully gone in about 20 minutes. I wouldn't have had the knowledge or confidence to do that without your videos! So thanks on behalf of me and all the car owners in my building! No flooded engines here 💪👷♀️
Hearing Post10 curse is like finding 20 bucks in your pocket Edit: Glad to see alot of people agreed with me lol I can imagine is because he's getting tired of it or annoyed.
Oh wow so i didn't mishear that there. I really thought "did he just say that? He never talked like that before". Good on him, sometimes you just gotta vent.
Great Work Post 10, That road was bad, the traffic showed not much care in slowing down and soaking you. It happened to me once and I reported the motorist for it. He got fined for driving without due care and attention. I would not have reported it, only for the reason it was done deliberately...😀👍🇬🇧
Same here. I remember that first video so well. Subscribed ASAP. Great whirlpools in past vids at this spot. It looks like an attractive road but unfortunately there are rude drivers on it very frequently. Only true idiots would intentionally splash someone with a vehicle.
I felt like a mini Post10 today. Lot's of rain in New Hampshire lately. I have a 12" pipe running under a dirt road to my back field. A stream running into a larger brook. Down there today and YUP, it was semi clogged. It is a satisfying feeling when you clear the pipe and watch the water level drop.
Thank you, once again, Post! Another great job, not only clearing the drains but explaining with diagrams ,so even this granny understands. LOL It's a wonderful video, beautiful ferns...I loved every second of it!
Here in England driving and splashing pedestrians is driving without due care and attention for other road users and the police do enforce it when they have the evidence - and that was good evidence.
Post, it often goes unnoticed that you regularly risk your own safety. You put youself at the peril of some of these inexperience cocky drivers. be safe brother. thanks for your service.
I like how you worked up and down the stick at 2:29 but you didn't notice there was a big stick until you moved some of the smaller branches at 4:36. Love the videos!
I am not mad that there are still streets that flood. At least there are some after the DOT removed the beaver dam on this other one. And I looove the double drain in this road. 😄 I guess I am a drain geek now.
'Not going to put my hand in there, its kind of a bad area' 10 seconds later reaches in to get the plastic out. Post 10 risks his life to save the environment one piece of plastic at a time. My hero
Let's hand it to the DOT this year: They really have been sweeping from what I see it the videos. The floods so far have less impact and are smaller because of the lack of debris.
@Robin James Sure, but making changes to rutines and making people who have been doing a particular thing to change their routine is hard. There might be a good reason, but that does not mean it isn't difficult. There still have to be a person who says that this need to change.
@@naerbo19 This is the way of improving any system in life, including your own habits/ behavior/ beliefs. It is worth pay attention to, this is life-improving wisdom, when you put your mind to implementing it.
If there’s nobody around to get splashed, I will usually speed up a little when going through puddles on a paved road, it helps to wash all the road salt buildup off the underside of my truck.
@@beatfarmerfan Yeah, what you may not realize that it also splashes all that crappy water up into the engine compartment and tends cut the life of your alternator in half.
Those are the same drivers going to the dealer or their mechanic shops the next day or two complaining, why are my front wheels shaking or my steering shakes when i press on the brakes. Mechanic: Well, your brake rotors are warped, Did you drive into a puddle or flooded street lately?
Dude, you're a road maintenance vigilante. Just hope at least one of the jurisdictions you provide assistance to pays you hourly. TBH, you're an unsung superhero. Keep up the good work, you've restored some of my faith in humanity.
Doesn't matter how he's dressed, high vis or no high vis it makes no difference, they've no respect at all for someone with a good heart.. D🤬🤬🤬s, I personally would slow down for Post10 carrying out his work, or anyone else for that matter
Yeah and put the word POLITE in large letters on the back. People approaching quick don't get a full chance to read it and think it says POLICE and will shit their pants and slow down.

The earliest I've ever been to your video, Post10! I was watching an aviation video and saw the notification for your video, I've never dropped a video so fast haha. Keep well, sir!
It's like that in cities across the country I think. Cities invested in sewer systems 100 years ago, but getting new sewers or separate stream is beyond the will of people today.
Why does that area even have curbs? The road is on a damn hillside. If they remove the curbs, the water will just flow down into the forest. They don't even need to have drains there. The curbs here are only function as dams that keep the water on the road. LoL
it's because it's a developed the area and they probably don't know how to build a drainage ditch so they built it like every other road to match oh, it was from a plan and it cost money to change a construction plan.
Post please get yourself a high visibility t-shirt when on the roads, I don't think the van that wet you saw you until last minuet and swerved to try miss you, you might have seen it during editing. Love the vids just don't want to see yoi or anyone hurt
Nice foot work at 12:20! Thank you for what you do for your communities and educating us on all on why the systems put in place do/don’t work, be safe ☺️
Even if I didn't like the video, you deserve upvotes just for picking up somebody else's trash. However, I did enjoy another awesome video from Post 10 and seeing the area that constantly floods is great. No idiots driving on the sidewalk this time so that's great. Thanks a bunch Post 10!
The government stinks. It is much better if local communities organise. And as a general rule it will only be 10% of the population who actually get involved. And I know that post 10 is WAY less than 10%. But people keep relying on the government! No, government is not the answer. They are nearly always a big part of the problem.
I live in a really rainy place and my city had the combined sewer overflow for years. Constant poop in the big river right through the middle of town. The city finally did a huge project to change it and now we only get the overflow when we get biblical level rains. Can swim in it now!
Your just one great guy who works relentlessly to keep motorists safe on flooded roads in your area. So sad to see one asshole who can’t even slow down to save soaking you, in the U.K. it’s an offense to soak people like that. Keep up the fantastic work you do. Kind regards from Scotland 🏴.
It would be amazing to see a second shot of how much the flow increases while you're uncovering the grates. Would need to have a second camera, but it would look cool!
You should get a Guardian Angel light to wear on you while working out in the road. Thanks for caring and saving lives. You are a great person for doing what you do.
Thanks for all you do, it's just too bad those douchebags who splashed you don't understand or care about your work. We do though ;) Thanks for posting it for us to enjoy. Your vids are excellent. RainX wipers are the best!
I really enjoy watching your videos, and the work that you do. I just wish more people appreciated what you do,I do and I don't even live up there. I hope that you will continue with your work and your videos, they are actually very educational. Please give April hugs and kisses for me, and be safe it there. Take care Deb from Florida.
Surprised by the clip at the end. I've driven over the Arrigoni bridge at least a thousand times. It crosses the Connecticut River and connects Middletown, CT to Portland, CT.
