That is going to be a sweet little pond when you’re done. Getting the excavator in to dig that ditch gives new meaning to 10# of do do in a five # bag. Always enjoyable to watch a clean up, thanks for the video, appreciate the ride along.
That fuel trailer is such a great asset - so much time saved. Tight squeeze - loved 'hello tree' - doesn't take much sometimes to hold back water. Huge root mats are amazing. Pond is a beauty. Opening up pasture area - more overgrown than one would initially think.
It's nice to watch these videos because as it's being explained at the beginning you can try to see in your head what the end result will look like before the first work begins. Because of the good narration we get
That’s going to be a beautiful pond when you’re done clearing around it. If the owner will keep it maintained it will stay beautiful. I’ve got 4 ponds on my farm that need to be cleaned up too.
Love watching you work. As you improve the area, make it usable, it's fun to watch. Opening up the 'swamp' was interesting. May have been mini work but would the mini have been able to yang that stump? This is very enjoyable and thanks for sharing with us all, Chris.
I love the way Chris talks to the vegetation as he clears it. Like when he was working to drain the swamp, he was warning the tree that he was coming through! That was classic Chris. Thanks for today that was lovely.
That was a close fit for the new machine unplugging the drainage ditch. It's amazing how mother nature works when she wants to make another swap. The pond is looking great for how thick it was. Great to see you have a great day at work Chris.
Chris bring your water pump with you and neck down the outlet hose so can clean the bulk of the concrete and mud from the excavators . You have the pond to draw from.
Looking nice more and more you get done the view from the sky must be beautiful so far making the landscape more productive for cattle to graze 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
Makes ya feel goo when ya can make a good showing like that each day , ya know it !! lolol... You have got a lot done there in a couple days so far !! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening , And , On too the Next !! Man, it already looking totally different...
I enjoy your videos. All of em. The body of water by that creek or river reminds me of a slough. Gum trees looked like cypress trees growing in a slough or swampy area. I would have drained that also. One good thing, it will cut down on mosquitoes
pond cleaning up nicely Chris. those vines are a nightmare, tangle up in everything. the PO might have realized overflow was clogged, making a swampy mess and just gave up on trying to maintain the banks?
The old Pond to Clean up. To first to Rood up the Bush on the Water side. This Day Work You farther on the Bush Wood side and Rood up but You Work exactly that You only the Tree Rood up what You Planing and to the Swamp Draining in the Way. Great Work what You this Day make. Thanks for the Interesting Video. 👌👍
Great job, especially getting that big girl into that super tight space! Anyway that is going to be one nice looking pond when your finished! Keep up the great work you do!
I'm rather happy there was no beavers. They are, without a doubt, the best water water conservationist on this planet. I wish we had them in New Zealand.
Thinning out the mess now is wiser than waiting for the trees to get bigger and more water logged. Break a few sticks to make progress well worth it by summertime.
Leave it to Chris, he's a man with the plan for everything. If you ever have to go back to the swamp drain, you can easily use the mini in the future. I don't think you would have been able to use it today with that stump being there. A lot of the bank looks like you could have used the mulcher on it with all the vines and bushes in there.
The videos with lots of commentary are my favorites. Watching you work in that tight spot right next to that tree with the door open , all I could think was “and if it was me this is the moment the machine stirs up another bees nest….”
Mine too, but those concrete crusher episodes were great! I have never seen so much rebar in my life! 😆😆😆I saw a cement maker downtown that I thought was a crusher. Chris opened up a whole different world for me on those episodes. I enjoyed every minute of them!
I saw a place North of you that had a big swampy area that is filled with swamp rats and other creepy crawlies. I wish we could get you hired to drain it and get that cleaned up and turned into a nice place again.
Yes Chinese privet is very invasive here in Texas also. Some have a purple berry that birds spread. Glad it was just a ditch and not beaver dam. In only a few hours Chris the property looks so much neater with an open view. Have a good weekend.
Considering the extensive vegetation management you undertake, wouldn't it be advantageous to invest in a flail mower for increased efficiency and effectiveness?
Have you been back to the pond with the bait pond and huge spillway. The previous contractor removed all the dirt from around the big trees right beside the pond. I believe you made a log road to clean the other side of pond.
Up here in northern lower michigan it still looks like fall outside, but we're to get a couple weeks of rain and nice weather, well above freezing anyhow. c'est la vie.
More great pond work by the Pond Master. Glad you could squeeze in and reopen the drain to the creek. If you go to the island, will you bring and use matts so you don`t sink into the mud? Privit is wild here in N. Fla. too - think its spread by birds.
