Milton will probably get 1 or 2 games starting at maximum. Maye will get most of the chances, Brissett is the safety blanket that can be the spot starter or starter for an extended amount of time.
god you dont know any ball dont you? hes not he cant complete 5 yard passes and when he does he throws them with so much zip receivers cant catch it. Its not all about arm strength to quote Steven Smith Jr. "more important is that you can throw a precise ball that is soft and catchable" thats not Joe Milton im sorry. Hes good for everything 40yards + downfield and 95% of the NFL's passing game is between 1-15 yards not 40+ yards downfield

I don't care who got drafted first if Joe milton looks better and ready before Maye I want him to start.I really don't need to see Brissett in there.Lets see what these young men got.Joe Milton looks hungry though I like what I see and have heard coming from him.I got the underdog!
@@dokedoker3340 Jayden Daniels needed 5 years and an elite suporting cast to star playing good. He's similar to Milton: struggles reading defenses and needs to rely on his legs. I thinks he's the next Jamarcus Russell
This the real beginning of the new New England patriots. Now that Brady and Belichick are both gone it's a clean slate. I'm excited to see what this next chapter is going to look like. I don't care how talented any of the players are. I want to see if they have the right people in place calling the plays and building a team. Mayo has a lot to prove.
I really like Joe Milton’s size he’s a physical marvel I wish him and Drake Maye the best the Patriots can’t go wrong if both guys prepare themselves to be a starter in the league
Maye looked ok. Joe looked better. Hate to say it but faster, more crisp throws, great throwing on the move. If there is a difference in those two worth millions, I ain't seein it, at least in Drake''s favor. Still, looked good but If I didn't know either QB and I walked out there, with only this video, I would assume Joe was the higher draft pick.
If I saw this tape drake looks way better Joe was a 6th round pick for a reason Joe looks like a great regular season qb but drake is looking like a great postseason qb
@@agentpeterbot23 Joe was a six round pick not for his stats but whose enemy number one against the NCAA? Tennessee. They are close in stats but joe edges him out in accuracy and definitely velocity and distance, as well as physicality. Brady was picked 199 in the 7th round lol. I want Drake to do well but these issues he has won't translate to the NFL. Drake had one great 2022 season but no where near elite QB numbers. That concerns me, as much as his 9 or 10 INT's. The best we can hope for is he has a Will Levis like season when he starts. Still, that isn't great but man, ACC defenses vs SEC defense? LOl No contest. Joe's the more weathered experienced QB. And it showing in practice. Maybe Drake will shock us.. who knows but Joe has played the best teams in the hardest conference and performed. Can't wait for Preseason!
@@gwhite7136 I can assure you scouts know what they are doing if they meat rode Joe like your doing sure he’s 3rd overall but drakes game will always be better than joes
I like how so many people talk about Milton like he's already a bust and cannot improve on anything over the next 10 years. I'm not saying he'll pan out to be anything, but damn can we give the guy a MINUTE? It's the SPRING of his rookie year... People need to calm the hell down.
@@zacht2806 Nah, not all of us I wish people would stop saying the "he lools like Brady" phrase also, that era is over it's time to move on, Bro looks like Drake Maye because that's who he is Pats fans need to look forward and stay positive
On first look, Mr. Maye seems to be just a little more accurate than Mr. Milton III. Just like the scouting reports said. Those scouts must know something. But give Mr. Milton III a little time, and he looks like he will improve. A good problem to have.
That is not what I saw lol. I saw slow arching throws from Maye with anything beyond ten years. Joe looked like the higher draft QB to me.. lol Maye, 10 INT's in 23 and threw for nearly a 1K less yards. Plus, Joe beat Drake in accuracy last season and that was against SEC defenses. I think Maye is good, don't get me wrong but 45 yeras of watching QB's, Maye looks slightly better than average and if Travis doesn't go down in the ACC last year, he would have been your legit ACC hype QB, not Maye. No red flags with Maye and certainly not with Joe, But I think we'll be more impressed in the preseason with Joe than Drake.
@@corybryant4728 I don't know what your seeing but the top QB maker in the SEC has coached Joe for three years. Heupel. So what are you talking about? lol Who was Maye's QB coach? The guy throws arching lobs just beg to get picked off..lol See Maye's INT per season. That is bad mechanics. He also throws off his back foot with the benefit of upper body strength. Joe's mechanics is elite and a hell of a lot better than what Drake is doing..lol When you get picked that many times as he does, it's mechanics and you can see how it happens. HE needs to squre up faster, plant and bring his arm down more. Otherwise he's going to keep getting picked off. Also, he won't be able to arch over NFL D lines without lower and harder velocity sooner. He waits too long.
@@corybryant4728 Sorry man but 45 years of watching, Drake is going to get embarrassed if he brings that to the preseason games.. lol Dude, 10 INT's last season in the ACC! lol This guy wouldn't have seen the field at TN. Doubt he would have at Bama or UGA either. Joe has played and played better against vastly better defenses. I think Drake will improve but oh my, there is going to be some issues early on and I don't see this guy ever being a franchise QB.
Joe Milton could stand 2 inches from a giant agricultural barn, cock back and miss it with a bullet that goes 85 yards past the intended massive wall of said barn. He might go down as the least accurate thrower of the football in the history of the sport.
He was always the great talent that never quite got all his potential unlocked at Michigan, and seemed to be the same for the Vols. Just immense, immense talent, though. Good person, wouldn't want to bet against the guy, and hope he achieves success.
I would’ve like to see Milton with the Raiders. Don’t know why New England felt the need to draft Milton. It’s just bringing extra attention and controversy to the QB room.
@@jdub1768 What? You mean the QB that looked like a walk-on body type lobbing passes and missing the square Maye? LOL May looks like a second year ACC struggle starter without an NFL QB upper body build.. lol Love the guy but top 3 QB draft? "You got bamboozled!" lol
Drake Maye vs Joe Milton 😂 Joe Milton going to be in the CFL in 2 years. He struggles reading defenses and his mental processing skills are horrendous. We know why you all hype him up so much...
Same reason they hyped Up Anthony Richardson over Will Levis despite Richardson's tape been much worst and despite Richardson playing in a much better team
Why can’t we be happy we currently have both ? Let the coaches teach them, and whatever happens, happens. I love Maye, but if Milton winds up being THE GUY, and brings the Pats back to the promised land, I’m not gonna complain. Who cares, I just wanna win, and whoever is the guy, I will support him like I’ve been supporting the Pats since 1975.
It was smart drafting Joe in the 6th. Another Big arm project who can develop with Drake and maybe make the team potentially…which would mean we could Trade Bailey for a future pick and he could go be a backup somewhere
Honestly, I don't see Maye being anywhere near a top 10 NFL QB within the next 3 years. Joe just looks better imo. Maybe I'm wrong but if there is something Maye does better than Joe I'm not seeing it and it's certainly not worth millions more. His passes need more velocity and spiral. Beef his upper body up. I think Joe will out perform Drake in the preseason. And someone will trade for him and he'll play sooner than later.
@@agentpeterbot23 I don't see it. Joe still beat him in accuracy last year and he throws a tighter spiral that doesn't have that slow arch to it. And no contest on velocity. Maybe that changes but that arch accounts for his INT issues.
@@gwhite7136 You watch a 3 minute clip and think Joe is on Drakes level? 🤡. Joe has like 6 years of college experience to Drakes 2 years of experience so if Joe was going to develop he would of already with all that time in college. And both have monster arms. Drake was the youngest QB taken with the least of experience and he is already more developed than Joe lol. People were talking about developing Joe into a tight end but you dont hear that about Drake lol. There is a reason why Drake was a consensus top 3 pick, luckily Washington was dumb and let him slide to us.
Milton played against better defenders in the SEC he will beat out Maye and remember Coach Mayo went to Tennessee so that’s why he drafted Milton as insurance cause the krafts pick mac noodle jones and he doesn’t want what happened to bill happen to him smart thinking if u ask me
Y’all sayin Drake Maye looks better than Milton rn, but once Milton gets in the game and starts being the major playmaker then y’all gone be back on his sack. 😂 🤦🏽♂️ They did the same thing when Jayden Daniels went to LSU, the comments looked the exact same… Milton will be a STARTER by week 4 if not before! ⭐️ mark my words
Milton has always been kinda inconsistent with his throws and he’s hella inaccurate. He needs to be developed properly. Maye was ready to start last year in the league.
I hope you right ! I’m not too big on drake maye I wish they drafted mhj and Rock with Milton ! Patriots draft would have been much better if they drafted mhj in the first round .
You do a deep dive in Drake and Joe's stats. Both are very close but Joe beat him in accuracy in 23, far less INT's and velocity. I'd have assumed Joe was the higher draft pick if I had no clue who they were.
@@gwhite7136Same comment 50 times, your comparing the stats to a 6th year college starter to a 2nd year college starter..How did Milton's stats look in his 2nd season at Drakes age? If Joe was going to develop he would of by now at his age. Plus Drake had a terrible oline and wr group in his 2nd season. Drakes first season he was top notch. If he spent another year in college he would of been the #1 overall pick. Give the kid a chance, hes super young for a rookie QB.
@@britneyystaples91 It would be different if Drake threw more than 24 Td's. Daniels threw 44. If he threw way less INT's and his passes even looked remotely NFL ready. There is just no substitute comparing two years of college ball, vs 6, starting or not. That's 4 more years of practices, mechanics, passing efficiency, velocity and conditioning. If Drake gets on the field and even has a season as lackluster as Will Levis had, I'd call that a win. He'll get better but a franchise QB? Nope, not anytime soon. It'll get worse before it gets better. I'd take Spencer Rattler all day over Drake at this time.
Do y’all even be thinking before y’all type dumb shii 😂 They just used a top 5 pick on Maye. If anything they should trade Milton before the deadline. Teams are going to be needing a QB and they could possibly get a 3rd for him. I would like to see him with the Raiders.
I think after the preseason, your going to start hearing that. lol Maye had what, 10 INT's last year? He's not a bad QB but so not prepared for the NFL DB's when your throwing 10 INT's in the ACC lol Those uncomfortably slow high arching throws are why he get's picked. He needs to bring them down, increase velocity like Joe throws them. Otherwise I fear he's going to be an INT king early on. I think Joe will be better in the presason. That wasn't Bama or UGA chasing him all around the field last year in the ACC, it was VA lol
@@gwhite7136 I was being sarcastic. Milton has very little touch. Maye has that and his arm strength is excellent. Maye is going to be a star in the NFL unless some team allows him to get destroyed like the Browns did Tim Couch back in the day. Milton will be a TE/QB probably. There will be packages put in for him etc. We will see.
Everybody knocking Draye, gotta remember hes very young for a rookie QB, people are comparing a 6th year college starter to a 2nd year college starter..How did Milton's stats look in his 2nd season at Drakes age? If Joe was going to develop he would of by now at his age. Plus Drake had a terrible oline and wr group in his 2nd season. Drakes first season he was top notch. If he spent another year in college he would of been the #1 overall pick. Give the kid a chance, hes super young for a rookie QB. Very lucky he fell to us at 3, he didht have multiple top 60 picks to throw to like Jayden Daniels. Washington made a mistake over thinking things instead of just drafting the consensus 2nd overall pick.
What battle? There is no QB battle between Maye and Milton. Drake is light years ahead of Milton. Everyone is going to be enamored with Milton’s arm strength. Yeah he can throw it a country mile. He also can’t hit a 5 yard slant because he throws it the same velocity. Milton’s “battle” is against Bailey Zappe.
I wouldn't be shocked. Drake's high slow arching passes verses Joe's canon velocity and slightly more accuracy than Drake. 9 or 10 INT's in the ACC equates to a lot more in the NFL. So far Joe looks the part of a NFL QB more so at this point than Drake. if there is a difference between the two worth millions and a much higher draft, I'm not seeing it.. lol
EXACTLY!! thats why i commented what i said on my other comment! Jayden Daniels went to LSU all da white folks was hating saying Garret Nussmeir (white QB) should start, by the end of the season those same white fans turned the hatingg comments to love...😂 😂 crazy world we live in!!
@@KosherLifeMir Milton has arm strength but lacks touch and accuracy on his throws. Great athlete, which is why he was drafted. If he doesn't improve as a passer, he will be asked to move to a different position.
Milton making Unitas #19 great again ! Lol. Ju ju bum ass shoulda gave him 7. Or Mapu shoulda just stayed with #30 I didn’t mind that. Now #15. Ehh. Thats QB WR. ZEKE.
