I have this same exact opinion. I think Kendrick is a better ARTIST, but Drake is clearly showing his superiority as a BATTLE RAPPER so far. Battle rapping is a whole different genre completely from regular Hip-Hop/Rap. Kendrick fans are absolutely being delusional and ultra biased here. Drake had many valid reasons to take his time in the response and there's proof to support it even further. Touring, J Cole taking the lead first, and taking time to dissect the full Future and Metro album so he doesn't respond prematurely. Drake is showing his intelligence and tactical mindset here and people need to give him props. By nature of beefs and dissing, if you cast the first shot, you are the one on the clock to respond quicker. Your opponent has more leeway because they're typically caught off guard and need to get the rebuttal together. If you take the first shot, you need to make sure you have another bullet in that magazine of your semi-automatic firearm to keep the suppression going. And let's be real here as Kendrick lovers....he is not battle tested period. He never responded to the people who came after him in Control period, but people deluded themselves into thinking that was a power play instead of him not following up with the smoke he keeps projecting to the world as being full of that energy. Drake is questioning all of that "big dog" energy and calling his bluffs. Kendrick NEEDS to respond soon because several people in the know have, apparently, heard snippets of Drake's next diss and it's apparently NASTY, and he would now be coming for blood in that.
