I've never encountered this case. Maybe you already looted his items? Loot usually does not despawn.

@@NeoJetty No. It didn't despawn. It simply did not spawn at all. I've already double-checked it. The loot only spawns AFTER you killed Bayle the Dread and completed Igon's quest. Idk how it spawned for you at all. Perhaps they made a patch that changes the subsequence of this quest line, or order in which items spawn, but I'm afraid this guide is now outdated.
