Drama Time - Guild Scams and Streaming

I love FFXIV but I never understood the term toxic positivity until I started playing that game

Damn, sometimes I wonder at these FFXIV stories. I'm an officer in my FC and I've seen my share of drama but a lot of these FFXIV stories make me feel like I'm playing a different game.

That first ff guild sure sounded like annoying bad players though 😂

Honestly, I'm glad that Drama Time keeps going, it's the only MMO-related content that I regularly watch every single time there's a new upload, and it's the only part of your content I watch apart from RWF.

Honestly the Vibe Check story had me until the end. 'Cause yeah, only WoW players are toxic. Suuuuure. As someone who was playing FFXIV and WoW at the same time BEFORE all the wow-refugees came in, I can promise you FFXIV has its fair share of assholes. FFXIV and WoW are only different in that FFXIV players like to pretend there is no drama while WoW players shrug and go 'it is what it is'

The stream recording to catch loot stealing instead of just leaving the raid group is actually more cringey than ERP in FF.

I’m not taking one side or the other, and what I say, I say with all due respect to everyone, but that last story is why personal loot existed. If people didn’t deliberately miss, treat other people, and deliberately take things from them with malice, personal loot wouldn’t have been a thing.

I think it’s fine to do the roll for your friend thing if it’s on a smaller scale and you’re also at least semi carrying a group, Aka if I joint a pug normal or pug M+5 with my low geared friend but I’m top damage by like 30%. I’ll roll need or just give my friend any loot I get from M+ without a second thought

Drama Time is the best that ever happened to RU-vid content. I also play one of the older seasons as comfort sound to my dog when I'm not at home. Love it ❤ (been watching it since original llama 🦙 backdrop 😊)

VIBE CHECK, 💯 PERCENT TRUE. I played FFXIV from beta & in the beginning of FFXIV 80 to 90% of the people in 14 were from WoW & the what we all know of the 14 community was true from the get go in most of the guilds. Hell I was a WoW player, I was a GM, & a raid leader where being a prick is part of the job description when it cam to hard core raiding. And most people do not know the meaning of Hard Core, Hard Core just means doing what must be done to kill the next raid boss, hell I've even had to replace myself b/c of problems w/ my PC, lag spikes, just normal lag, or me not able to concentrate on the fight b/c of RL problem (yes also call them PC problems) but always replaced people for only "PC problems" so people could keep face, & always got them help with their job if needed w/o embarrassing them in front of other people. So Hard Core never meant being an asshole for zero reason. You want people to play better in your static raid group, you had to show them & keep their respect, lose it & if they still play good, it is only to get their ranking up on the World of Logs. I also played the top ten MMOs at one time, & there is one thing that is 100 percent true, how you conduct yourself, especially toward strangers will make an an impression, doubly so if you're the GM or an Officer of a Guild, your reputations matter & reputations & that of your guild on your the server. And to have a good rep all you'd need to do is when you see someone killing someone for a quest, as a healer toss a heal on them, I was a PLD when I leveled up, so I'd stone skin people, or if I saw them in a lot of trouble I'd toss my teather on them & take all of their incoming damage. ...never mind, I'm too tired to keep ranting.

ffxiv players thinking their community does not have a ton of assholes blows my mind. I love how wow players never talk about ffxiv, but when I play ffxiv I hear about wow more than when I play wow.

FF nerds are the worst kind of people. In their heads they really are superior to other gamers, but in reality they're only nice to you if you agree with them and if you have an opinion they don't share they attack you instantly lol

If there's no chance at loot why would you pug for a guild? If a member is hunting a specific I won't roll and won't complain. But if I find out you're doing this nonsense then prepare to pug another healer

I hope the first story was partly joking. The guy sounds awful. But so does the author. They give XIV just as bad of a name.

Telling other ppl how they need to play a game is cringe

Sometimes I think I play a completely different game since 2013 when I see other people talking about XIV and situations in XIV, and I am fine with it, because jesus christ, the more I hear about, I want to stay away from whatever game these people play.

Thankfully the tide is finally turning, and political correctness is gasping its last breaths.. took way too long for normal people to wake up.
