I remember in a high level physic class my teacher was showing a formula, said it's technically incorrect and went on a 30 minute rant breaking down the formula and brought it to the actual formula, said "but you don't know all this yet" and just erased the entire board. That's when it hit me I was in for more than I ever knew.
I have never watched one of these before, or even really preach except perhaps via Asmon or Bellular... but this was hilarious, and i cannot WAIT for more.
My 2 yr old already sits on my lap while I’m doing bgs and says “jump jump” while she hits the space bar. My future pocket healer in training. I will show you the way young padawan
22:50 I've been raiding since 2.0, and I'm with Wonder Boy. When you're used to doing things a certain way with a certain group every night, and you have a limited amount of time, pugging just takes too long.
Yeah jumping into savage for the first time is a hell of a thing in FF14, but I love it just got my first savage kill on hench carbuncle and feel great.
I loved getting to University and having my Calculus teacher tell me that my 12 years of mathematics were basically for nothing because my math now had more letters than the alphabet.
@@ich3730 It's meant to be a comedic comment, not a strictly truthful one. The truth is that most of the mathematics I was taught that weren't arithmetic before University were 'wrong' and mostly inapplicable because they were oversimplified versions of concepts introduced in Calculus. The ways in which we solved problems in my earlier education were akin to applying a finished solution to a problem rather than deriving the solution from the problem itself.
First story sounds like a guy I knew who was so focused on damage he couldn't actually do any of the mechanics on p1s. The fc fell apart not only cause the fc lead kept inviting the guy and refusing to kick him out of the fc, but cause he would get so toxic he made everyone leave both the fc and the static.
Tbf, a lot of end game terminology you just hear it until you play savage or extreme. It was the same for me when I did savage for the first time, tho luckily videos about each encounter has helped a lot
Let me get this straight. Correct me if I'm misunderstanding this: We have a REPEAT STORYTELLER with a seven year old daughter whom which conflict always seems abound with? 🤨
Hmmmm... yeah... cardinals... never heard of them before playing FF14 either. Also, about the second story... the guy talks trash about his own 7 year old daughter for being bad at an MMORPG (man, what do you expect from a kid that age? just let her mess around) without realizing for...days? weeks? that she only wants to spend time with her dad and that she gives two figs about learning the game and that, maybe, in the first place, WoW is not even an adequate game... while he also tries to come off a great dad for... what exactly? agressively scaring off potential stalkers, the same stalkers he's responsible for exposing his daughter to? using his daughter challenges and birth circumstances as material for a (not even funny) story? I honestly would like to think that the story is just fake. Man, what a rough drama time...
I don't play the game any more, but I've been looking forward to hearing about your trip to Blizzard, I really want them to do better, I want to be able to come back and play their games without feeling bad about it, it will be super interesting to hear what you made of your visit there.
Feeling bad about playing a game because 10 employees out of 10k were meanie heads. Hahaha. Get over your own importance. $15 per month changes nothing at blizzard. Nothing.
@@CurieBohr Have you ever actually worked in an office setting? 10 employees can easily turn the entire culture toxic, especially when they're high up. Either way, quit caring so much about what other people are doing.
Idgaf about their work environment I just want the game to be good. Kids working in sweatshops to make yalls iPhones and you're crying because someone slaps someone's ass at the office or something lol
its not the tool that is the issue, its the tools that misuse the tools. then again if people have the access to the numbers it tends to monopolize their focus and soon the numbers are all that matter.
Because while some people use it as a tool for improving, other people can be super toxic with such info putting down others/ pointing at them as the issue and so on. The devs have said "You can't use it... but we don't know if you are using it *wink wink*" here is a vid where they talk about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e_i6mjiGerU.html
Zoomer math and old school math are complementary. You have to do the old school math to see how much paper work you're saving with the mental math tricks. The issue with Zoomer math is that they make you show all your work anyway. Ruining the whole enterprise.
I have no clue what zoomer maths is but to actually learn maths knowing your process is more important than the final number. Everyone makes typos and misses. Or, on the flip side, anyone can use a calculator to get the result. Its the work that's important.
"I hate Math, to many damn numbers." - Beavis & Butthead. When I first heard one of them say that line I was relaxing with some smoke after a long day skiing @ Jackson Hole, WY, And it blew my mind, & has always stuck with me.
I understand almost anyone looking at that second story from the outside is going to see the dad reporting that other person as a huge overreaction, but I'm sorry, I don't think a father is going to give a damn when it's their 7-year-old kid playing with them in an online game. You're not changing their mind under any circumstances. That parent is going to be purely thinking about their safety in such an environment and *are 100% not thinking about bot observation.* If that person gets in trouble, they can argue "I thought it was a bot but it was just a kid" with the employee and see how that sentence goes.
I mean, 2 seconds of putting the other person on ignore and then getting up and doing the exact same on the daughter's PC would have netted the exact same result without the toxic over-reaction.
@@TheTaintedeclipse I think I can guess why you seem ok with acting and speaking to a child like that. I guess you think you are a victim of push back against justified reaction to deviant behaviour.
the community doesnt "shun addons" xD They are just against TOS, but i bet everyone who actually raids has ACT and everyone who actually RP's has massive milkers xD
Dang he back shilling for blizzard just in time for a new expac :O kinda like every other person that quit because they were so personally offended at blizzards terrible business practice's and ethics with employees and how wow was being handled but i guess money changes everything huh Preach?
Preach hasn't released anything of real note yet outside of a curious walkthrough the blizzard headquarters, where are you getting that he is shilling? The people who did those horrible things have been fired and kicked to the curb, so were supposed to stop liking WoW because of bad people that are no longer relevant? They were punished, time to put down the pitch fork and torches, you won. Time to move on.
