Draping with Knits to Get Your Perfect Fit

Hi Andrea: Thank you for your questions. Sleeves are drafted and fitted separately. There will be a separate video on sleeves as they apply to both woven and knits. My knit pattern, CS1207, is made especially for larger bust cups. You will need to measure your full bust measurement to select your size. When you are making a woven fabric garment, you would select your size from CS1201, CS1301 (shoulder princess, or CS1302 (armhole princess) by using your full bust measurement. These patterns are made in the various cup sizes (see other RU-vid videos for the demo on those and how to use these patterns.) We have traveled with all of the wovens and knits and have fitted thousands of women with these samples already sewn for a quick fitting. +Susan Richardson The knit fabric will return to its original shape once you remove it from the dress form. I developed CS1207 so that you don't need to learn this draping technique. Most beginners have a difficult time getting the master patterns correctly made. However, once you have viewed the video, you can use CS1207 to cut out, put it on the dress form and draw in the style that you would like for yourself (neckline, yokes, add pleats, etc.) This is the method that designers use.
