thanks for this video! this led me to research arfid and realise thats what i have and now inturn i have a better relationship with food and with events relating with food (also in 20:15, pretty sure u are talking about chicken alfredo!)

TW TALK ABOUT EATING DISORDER: Omg you don’t know how excited I was to hear someone talk about ARFID I have it with a official diagnosis of restrictive and avoidant I find that for me it’s not being picky it’s more like a phobia I react extreme ways to unfamiliar or unliked foods to the point where I starve myself I’d rather die than eat an orange not because I’m picky but because I’m genuinely scared of the over stimulation it provides me I hope one day you could get professional help if you need or want as in my own case it is so very helpful and therapeutic to have someone understand what your going through overall great video great art thank you for speaking about ARFID
aa tysm!! the way you described reacting to unfamiliar foods is so true 😭 tbh tho ive been lucky enough to have really supportive family and friends when it comes to my sensory issues, so at least for now i don’t really know if i would need an official diagnosis. if it provided some sort of immediate cure then i would get one in a heartbeat, but for now im complacent with what i have. thank you for sharing ur experience with arfid!!
tbh, if i were to start drawing now, i would start by drawing stuff i like by reference! also don’t be too hard on yourself, art takes a long time and a lot of skill to master, so dont expect to be perfect at first (unlike i do sometimes 😭😭) :> good luck if you decide to start drawing!!

Im more of an Elliott gal haha! Love that you also play Stardew Valley! Love your drawings ❤ im also soo picky with food so i know what you are going through. I just often cant handle certain textures like those of cooked mushrooms. Blergh 😂 i can only eat those raw because im not bothered by the texture when raw hehe. Idk if you have the same thing but i hear sometimes that people have this exact issue with certain foods 😅😂 thank you for sharing your work ❤
So about ARFID, I am a very picky tween and I hate certain tastes or textures, I was wondering if I could learn more about this eating disorder. I have a specific category of foods that I will choose but anything outside of it I’m not really open to try. I’m not scared of it and I don’t forget about food either. That’s mostly it, thanks you for taking the time to read this. ❤
your experiences sound extremely similar to mine, especially when i was a tween. if i were you, i would look up some articles about ARFID from, like, actual medical professionals (unlike me 💀) and see if you relate to what they say. i also saw there’s a few online tests you could take that could be a good basis for a diagnosis, though i personally haven’t taken any because i was able to figure it out by reading the articles alone 😭😭 np!! i hope i was able to help!
I am soo jealous that you have AP art at your high school omg. I know it’s stressful but the art classes here are pathetic, I didn’t even know AP art was a thing. It looks so fun besides the stressful parts. Also, I have Arfid too! Restrictive type. Basically, eating is like a chore for me. Being hungry physically and having an appetite are two separate things. I ‘put off’ eating like one would put off doing the dishes.
