Beautiful artworks, River. I am here because I have some suggestions for you, based on a comment you left on @KelseyRodriguez community tab. You had commented that you’re 12 and might like to make art your career, and that you in fact have already sold some of your art. Hopefully, you’ve got a healthy living situation with parents. I don’t like to presume that you do, because not everyone does - both of my grandmothers lived on their own by age 12, so I know that’s possible. Anyway - here’s the thing (at least where I live): I am not an attorney - I’m not giving legal advice. However, I believe that it is still true that if you are under age 18, you cannot legally sign a contract, open you own bank account, etc for example, without an adult to also sign and take on the legal responsibility. So, because you’re already finding success doing what you love, you might like to ask your parents - or another trusted adult, if parents aren’t available - to help you to set up a real business for your art, complete with a business license, business bank account, and so on. Also, there might come a time when your RU-vid channel becomes monetized, or you develop a drawing tutorial that you want to sell, or whatever. I started having my own business when I turned 18, because I found value in working for myself. Now, I am almost 58. I did not have business-minded people in my life back then. I made too many mistakes to count. I recently had a health crisis and now need to start over completely. This time around, there will not be so many mistakes. If your parents don’t know how to help you to get your business properly set up, there are free resources that can help, if you’re in the US - try SBA.gov to learn what you need to do, and if you’re in the US, the Secretary of State for the state that you live in, as well as county and city licenses might be needed to do it right. One of the mistakes that I’d made was not taking proper care of the infrastructure of my business. That was a really hard lesson to learn. You won’t be sorry that you set yourself up to succeed. Edit - I just saw on your profile that you’re in Austria. I’ve got no idea about the legal framework for business there, so you’ll have to do your research there. Also, you might not have the age restrictions there that exist in the US. In any case, I hope that your dreams show up in this reality. Cheers!
