How do you just draw a straight line such as a L shape, T Shape, ? preferably withouit any angle, just up down to connect dot in a grid horizontally or vetically only, maybe from corner to corner at a 45 degree would be cool?

I am sorry to hear that you found the tutorial hard. I try my best to make my tutorials as easy as possible. However, this tutorial does require some familiarity with MIT App Inventor. And I have introduced the Canvas component in it so that could be the reason for you finding it hard. I have even shared my project AIA file to help beginners. In any case, best wishes!
