would love to see more!! few styles you could include in the future: spongebob, tim burton, scooby doo, poptropica, rugrats, avatar, lego, boondocks, adventure time, fairly odd parents, robot chicken, charlie brown, etc. it could be a whole series
You are so right. There's dozens more you could do. You have Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Hollow Knight, The Amazing World of Gumball, Transformers (or any 80s cartoon), Sonic the Hedgehog and their weird cyclops eyes, and many more.
Can we just talk about how Jazza's Cthulhu could easily appear in a Neal Adams Batman comic and I wouldn't even think twice that it might have been from a different artist... That is so good Edit: I'm gonna need at least one more episode of this, or however many it takes to land on Arcane, now that I've noticed it on the style board... please and thanks! 😄
@@doreman0365 I may have noticed the likeness as well, but didn't want to detract from how good it was. lol Just too many characters with tentacle faces.
That DC Cthulu is incredible!! And THANK YOU Jazza for talking through all the steps of how you did these drawings/paintings. You give just enough detail to make it interesting and easy to try out without feeling like a tutorial. That red line trick is so cool, I want to try it out now!
When Jazza was drawing Cthulhu in DC's style, I first thaught that he looked like Davey Jones. Later I realised that he is basically Vilgax because he's an alien and then I realised that there are too many characters who have a tentacle face and are green in colour.
Genuinely one of the most entertaining vids from Jazza in a while, just laid back, good old digital art. While Im loving the ambitious projects and dabbles into foreign art mediums, there is something to be said about Jazza's core foundation - his character designs. I would love if you'd bring them back to the channel, Jazza! In any case, Im happy to watch anything you put out
I liked specially Randy in the Pokemon Style, to be honest I was expecting him to be turned into like a pokecenter worker, diddn't expect him to look like a person ready to brawl, but it turned out so well, and getting the attitude by having him holding his pants like that really gives him the vibe.
You might all be cogs in a machine, but in an intricate clockwork machine, you need cogs of all sizes and teeth types. Some cogs are surrounded by many other cogs, and some turn belts which transfer that motion to other parts of the machine. Each has its own place and is important to the inner workings of the machine. Without YOU the machine doesn't function properly.... until they replace you with some guy named Steve tomorrow, because as we all know, any good clock maker has spare parts.
The last three came out really really well. The first one, while looking cool, doesn't really feel like it accomplished its goal though. If you showed any of the other 3 to someone and asked what style they are in, chances are you'd get the desired answer. But I doubt that anybody would look at the Rick drawing and guess that it's supposed to be in Encanto's style.
Couldnt agree more. However, I think it was a solid try considering encanto was 3d. Maybe he could've used early sketches of the characters as a reference but idk
Agree, but it was probably the first drawing of the day. The warm up sketches can definitely be a bit rough around the edges lol (speaking from experience)
Reminded me of you tho instantly!😃 with your character drawings in different styles! Can't wait for you to do another one of those as well... hint hint😝😇🤣
This just shows how much of a professional you are in being able to notice the stylistic differences and the ability you can reproduce them at. Those are all seriously impressive.
Cthulu has to be my fav out of those. I also would've loved to see you spin Arcane. Vi/Jinx in any of those styles/any of those characters in the style of Arcane would've been hella cool.
You'll probably never see this, but thank you Jazza. You'll never know how much of an inspiration to me you were when I was a kid. Your art, how-to-draws, challenges, and plain old fun were always awesome to me, and still are. I always wanted to meet you as a kid, and who knows? It might still happen. But anyway, thanks a ton :)
i love the rick so much. all of them are really good, it's very impressive to see your ability of style bending. all of them are so different yet recognizable
I gave up on art as a kid because my parents said I should use that time to do something more productive. I use to be pretty decent but now I can't draw at all. I've been watching jazza for a few years and just bought a sketch book and alcohol markers. It's so much fun to do this again. Thanks for the vids
Damn dude. I dont think there is anything more productive than art. Have fun on your endeavour. - one random internet bloke giving a full assist. DO A FLIP YA CUN...be more beautiful, its a worthy skill.
Styles: Realism? I feel like a lot of characters being made to be realistic would be pretty cool to explore. Characters/styles: simpsons, futurama, family guy, Star Wars: clone wars, dexters lab, x-men, adventure time. This series definitely needs to continue, it’s incredible
I feel like jazza could work as a character and a style. If he rolled jazza as a character it would be reminiscent of some of the old draw with jazza and jazza as a style is self explanatory
I was kinda hoping one of them would land on arcane's style. I would love to see how you would go about drawing a character in the style of arcane since it's such a beautiful style
Cthulhu and Steve were spot on. Would've like to have seen Rick done in 3D, and Randy needed a totally different design imo. There's plenty of plump guys in Pokemon to reference.
I know sound raff, and nothing like Enchanto would do, but, since it''s mixing with R&M, I think Rickardo's (😅) gift would be he can wommit wormholes wherever he wants to go... Or teleport via burping. Not as a gift, but he would be also very clever, and -despite Abuela hates it- he would break off parts of the house to create magical items from them.....
I would love a part 2 for this! It's so inspiring seeing characters drawn in other styles, something I want to try and practice more so it's videos like these that are nice to see!
This is one of the most satisfying and fun videos. I love the traditional media stuff and how crazy it can get, but these "jazza flexes his illustration muscles" episodes are SO GOOD.
I LOVE this type of art video. Breaking down what makes a particular style recognizable and then using it to render a familiar character really highlights the uniqueness of both. Love Jazza describing both his inspiration and the specific technique. They were all good, but Cthulhu as a DC villain is perfect. That Randy could totally be in Pokemon episode.
One of my favorite videos you’ve done recently. These were all INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely looking for a part 2!! Could be cool to do characters who we don’t know what they look like (I.e from a book) or celebrities and drawing them into these other universes.
I'd love to see something in the style of Invader Zim or Smile For Me-- they've got super distinct styles, but they're probably not as popular as a lot of others.
I swear artists are geniuses. My mind is always blown at how an artists mind thinks and comes up with such creativity. You frickin nailed this challenge and I'm amazed and in awe of your gift and talent. Well done my friend well done
I love it when you do these vids, because it feels like you actually understand the difference between translating a character into an art style and just drawing a character as another character. Haven't watched the vid yet, but I'm already hyped. I've seen the video now, and the drawings are great. The weakest for me is Cthulhu just because DC's style really only requires intensified shadows, rather than being super villain-ified, but the end result was great never the less. I really liked Rick, however if he had striking bright iris's, he would've radiated Disney vibes. Steve is my favourite, I just think he looks funny, and Randy is awesome too. Good on Jazza.
Oh I kept hoping you'd spin up Arcane! I hope you do another one, I'd love to see that. Also do have to say, that's the sickest Chtulhu I've seen in a long time. What a great incarnation of the Great One!
I know, I know....these 'drawing in the style of...' videos are super old and often done, but I can't get enough of these. And you did such a fantastic job on this one! NAAAAAILEEEED IT! (really, it's my favorite jazza video of 2022!). I hope more of these to come. Maybe even a collab with other artists within or outside of your studio?
Jesus Christ the two at the end looking like they worked at the same office had me cackling so hard. And Randy Marsh’s design translating so effortlessly and recognizably to the Pokemon style was freaking magical to see. I almost choked on my dinner laughing at that!! Also: “We don’t talk about Uncle Rick” fits both universes so perfectly XD
Next spin should include a character from arcane, Minecraft Steve, kick butowski, Doraemon, Mr bean (the comic) and a few more of your choice. This would hit every nostalgia point ever and will make such a great fun series. Jazza, this is such a good vid idea keep making more of this series please.
I thought this was absolutely amazing to see you transform characters into different art styles! Such magnificent outcomes too! To be honest, I wish there were more! Can’t get enough, and would love to see this again with more! ^-^
This was really cool and I liked the randomness of the big wheel! I hope you do more of these because I really like watching you drawn and seeing what and why you do things.
Jazza, it's so cool seeing this ! And Randy from South Park is the perfect final touch. To be honest, I expected to see him as a pokemon, but it would probably be too easy to just stick his head on a butterfree. "But Stan, butterfrees have no concern for such things" It would fit so well on a rattata.
i love these more traditional and more relaxed videos, even if theyve got a twist. thanks for such a cool video, jazza! i love your content and always will :)
Video ideas! -Jazza combines his too 5 favorite experimental mediums (ex: candle wax, toilet paper roll, etc anything that isn’t traditionally used for art) and creates a giant masterpiece that conveys how he’s grown as an artist getting outside of the box. - do the prompt above, but with least favorite experimental mediums. - recreating an episode of art attack! - making art out of plants?? Kinda like the garden in coraline? Drawing with plants grown in a flower bed or smth. - …jazza making art out of cake. People have used cake decorating as an art form and I think it would be neat to see him try it. - making art out of fabric. Glueing and combining fabric on a canvas. - embroidery - making carpet art (like the rugs on tiktok ppl make)
I’ve been watching your channel for who knows how long now. I love all your videos so much but these kind of videos are always amazing and one of my favourites. Keep up the great work!
Yees, while I like the dive and dabble experiment art videos, these are the type of content that made me love jazza, these illustrations just drawing type videos.
Loved the video! Character style mashup is always super fun and I love when art channels do that and you did amazing! Every character seemed to fit in the other world like they were already there to begin with 😂 there are many challenges you can make like character fusion or personality swap, color palette swap etc. or even use character generators online that are weirdly specific and wacky 😂😂
I think a Helluva Boss/Vivziepop style would be super fun for this! The character I'd pair with it would either be Blitzo or Moxie, I'd love to see them drawn in other styles.
awesome. would like to see another one of these. How about: Shrek, Disney, Some From Software Game, Studio Ghibli, Deamon Slayer, Hey Arnold, Hollow Knight, Cuphead
Jazza's artistic range is truly amazing! I've been watching this guy for a long time and I remember thinking he was amazing years ago but I swear his abilities improve after every video I see! Keep it up my dude!
I love the character/style mash-up. I think my personal favorite was the DC version of Cthulhu that you did. Felt like something right out of a comic book. As for character or style suggestions? Keep some of the ones that weren't used on the wheel like Arcane Style/Jinx and add something like Dragonball/DBZ/DBSuper and Goku, maybe the D&D art style and Drizzt Do'Urden, maybe even do Marvel style and Black Panther. See what wild combos you can come up with. Hell, pick a cartoon style like Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny!
I would really love to see you attempt using the Fire Emblem style, specifically the one they use for portraits during dialogue rather than the tiny sprites or models in cutscenes/combat. There's a lot of games and tons of characters, but I'd suggest using Marth from Shadow Dragon, or Byleth or Shez from Three Houses/Hopes, since those are the protagonists of the first and last games respectively.
This was super fun to watch! You’re so talented! I’d love to see more of this type of character mash up. Different theme ideas could be Pixar, Tim Burton, Animaniacs, The Last Unicorn, Billy and Mandi(Grim), Heman/ Shera, Thundercats, Vultron, Rainbow Bright, My little Pony, Winx, and that’s a lot so I’ll stop for now lol. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Suggestions for a character / style wedge to add to your wheel: Mickey Mouse / Steamboat Willie (1920s Disney) Hades / Disney's Hercules (1997) Didi Pickles / Rugrats (1990s Nickelodeon)
Can definitely imagine Randy singing the theme tune in the style he sang carry on my wayward son 😅...top work Jazza, definitely a good idea for a reoccurring series this is...
Its videos like this that remind me what an amazingly talented and versatile artist Jazza really is, when he is not shooting paint from supersoakers or melting crayons.
