@@Luke_Nuke i think he's just implying that "luck" is just him being humble since most of us can't create something as intricate even with the best luck. he just views it differently man, it's not a big deal. it's weird to get offended over a compliment you see somebody give somebody else online
@@Luke_Nuke is it that hard to understand that he was saying that he was just being humble and it takes more than 10% skill to make something like that
Well the later ones are drawn around the Ink while the Ink in the first one literally perfectly hit the shape byitself. The later ones are mostly just cool drawings and less actual Ink drops. That's probably what he means. You can see on the first one that he didn't even alter the shape of the Head at all. You can draw anything around anything. But having it actually be the Dragons Head... That's special luck.
It takes 10 percent luck, 20 per entire skill, 15 percent concentrated power of will, 5 percent pleasure, 50 percent pain, and 100 percent reason to remember the name
@@Subliminal01 Lol I came here to say that as well. it would take me years to achieve this level of skill, and his ability to realize the perspective of the dragons head is far beyond average as well. He literally sees art where others only see a blot of ink
Remember, there are more than one type of dragon. Ancient and young, forest and fire, from the heights of the snow capped peaks to the depths of the ancient abyss there be dragons.
I’ve seen hundreds of interpretations of dragons. Sometimes I’ll see a dragon that controls the domain of time and has 100 legs. Sometimes a forest will have a dragon in every tree. Sometimes the essence and culture of a city will make a dragon. Dragons are everywhere. So many mythical creatures can be called dragons. Truly wherever you look, there be dragons.
Reading that last line my brain lit up like a white women’s Christmas tree and was immediately filled with sadness as my brain had conjured the words “Here were dragons”, SPC-1762
The one you threw out i saw a dragon in it. Its like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone sees something different. Dude these are awesome love your work, the dragon i saw was one that lives underwater with catfish like whiskers
Every single one of those was better than a lot of art ive seen. I really like the use of paper and chance. My gf does similar stuff but only i see it and it bothers me because this kind of creativity and seeing whats there when i cant is so incredible and a skill that not many can do to the same quality of your work.
Watching the drawing come together, even when you say it's forced, is pure joy. I'm glad Scott recommended your channel. You are both inspiring humans.
I love your style! 🖌️ For me ink makes me get out of my head and go with the flow 🖤 Because usually I tend to stay within the lines and ink is the media that helps me to challenge the "neatness" 😊
Sorry, but you're wrong. I'm an art major, so I can confirm that it's actually: 10% luck 20% skill 15% concentrated power of will 5% pleasure 50% pain and 100% reason to remember Bob Ross.
Scott recommended your art and I love it. Most of my art over 30 years never gets seen even by my friends. Now that I’m 67 I’m beginning to share at least with friends
I'd like one too please? How much for a dragons ink calender of your amazing art? If I had a gazillion dollars, I'd give you a million or two for your artwork. I love it!! And your voice and everything else you did here ❤😊. I'd pay even more for art lessons from your videos if I had it. I just might some day. You're wonderful in SO many ways I appreciate and will share this great video. Thank you for making this.
You sir are incredible. Im so glad Scott recommended you. I adore your art, its simply magical, in a skillful but alive way. I am by no means an artist, but when I draw or paint, I thrive in chaos. I love that your art starts by a creative spark and is then worked out with skill. Its impressive, but not only technique wise, but also cause its so alive and shows human creativity.
@@Scarshadow666 Thank you for your kind words - maybe I am kind of an artist then, cause I do quite frequently paint (mostly chaos heh). I think it helps with mental health (if not done in a perfectionistic way, at least).
Beautiful. This is why you can’t constrain an artist. I had a really good art teacher, my brain just doesn’t work like his, I need instruction in my art, I’m not creative in that way, I can’t picture something without someone else’s design or desire. It’s completely opposite for an artist like this man. Be Free. Don’t repeat, evolve and grow Brother.
I honestly love how much care you give to give us explanations for why and how you do things, and honestly it's personally like to see your take on a Chinese dragon or some form of Japanese Yokai should the ink speak to you in such ways lol. Personally one of my favorite myths are from Ireland primarily the banshee and the kelpie.
Agreed. Most of the time I feel like I can't draw when I have a picture in mind. When I'm just messing around thats when true art is delivered and I feel accomplished.❤
I truly admire the fact he doesn’t just show the amazing work he has done, but also shows the a side where it can be difficult and a struggle to create these artworks sometimes, and it takes time and patience. He also shows some artworks he has messed up on, this is a true artist.
Oh my goodness, hearing you say this explains a little of what's going on with myself...I stopped forcing and just let things flow, things now appear so different. Thank you, love your short videos!
This is a life lesson 😁 and also defeats the purpose of starting with an ink blot. Love your work! So pleased youtube's algorithm suggested your channel 😊
Honestly dude, seeing you draw whatever dragon your ABLE to imagine from the ink blots is amazing. The variations are watching a world of dragon species being born in front of my eyes. I understand the joy of doing whatever comes to mind instead of having a set goal, but the set goal also has a really unique aspect to it, despite the repetition
LOL, you clearly are very contradictive. You say you do not want to force the ink blob in a particular manor. I have just seen multiple instances that you presented that do not agree. It may look nice but art is not contrived.
@@matthewmccann9281 I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that... but from what I have seen from this guy's art I can say, that no one ink blob is the same. You can try to control it to a degree. But in the end, it is always random. No matter what. And you have to work with what you have.
I came across your page 2 days ago and love seeing your art. You're stuff is amazing and knowing you make it from a drop of ink to design your work is incredible
Yoooo actually you just reminded me of a type of drawing I did when I was a kid I would make random dots on my schoolwork and connect them to make something I liked my luck was more 40% but it feels similar.
whenever i get your vids on my shorts. it always ends up with a hit in emotions? My heart? my soul? Idk how to describe it. but your Voice your art and how you describe whatever your talking about in your videos. Is like listening to a wise elder from a village to where the Chief or Leader always listen to (Best simile/metaphor i can give for this) Keep up with the good work!!
Art isn't always about what we want. Sometimes it has to be what we're suppose to see. There's definetely a skill to observing your art, and seeing what it's trying to show you.
I absolutely love your videos, I'm so glad I found them a couple of days ago. If you ever get inspiration to create a fairy and/ or a gnome, I'd love to see them.
bruh .... ur voice is magnificent, u can use it in the movies, u know... as the guy who tells the process of story about an adventure while the movie is contained in action
As a Swede, I find it pretty funny, because I hear how incredibly Swedish he is while speaking English :P But yeah it's a pretty good narrator voice. Reminds me of some old Swedish actor. Like Max von Sydow. :)
