@@vvfeet the videos yeah… we don’t know how much she’s doing behind the scenes since she is very motivated and has aspirations to make art (she will be inlaid upon this statue)… I think she could benefit from a video or article on correct posture while doing long term drawing to minimize the hand, neck, and back aches. Obviously it won’t make it completely pain free but it could be beneficial ❤

If you’d like some advice about Zhongli’s eyes, it’s that you can tell he’s not looking in a certain direction. He’s got a bit of that thousand yard stare. So if you wanna fix that, you can just change the direction of either eye to match the other and then he’d at least look like he’s looking off to the side. Like change his left eye to look to the right. It’s incredibly hard to nail eyes looking in the direction you want when you draw character in a variety of poses and angles, I still struggle with it and I go to art college to learn this kinda stuff

avoid thin brushes use broad and wider brushes when starting a drawing thatll reduce the anxiety of getting the shape and form exactly right . it will help you accomodate your drawing better and provide a different prespective to how you start a drawing too. im no proffesional but that worked for me so yeah anways i absolutely LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE your videos all the best ily

Here’s some advice about artstyle: Screw artsyle! You’re at the learning stage and your style doesn’t really matter at the moment. For now just screw around with whatever style you want. You’ll land on an artsyle you like at some point. Edit: I just noticed that at the end you acknowledged the different art styles were a good thing. You are indeed a wise beginner

As someone who finally has her wrist stable after a year and a half of therapy... please don't push yourself too hard, take all the breaks you need and make sure to stretch every now and then ;v; With that out of the way, your progress is amazing!!! chibi is harder than it seems and yet you made it look nice!!! I'm excited to see what you create for next week =v=

some tips for body pain when drawing (speaking from experience lol): -make sure you're sitting up straight! the nerves that run down your arm connect to your neck, so slouching for long periods of time can hurt your wrist -wear a splint at night! (wearing a hard brace with a splint can reduce movement at night) -wearing a soft brace or compression glove with no splint while drawing can provide your wrist additional support when drawing! (remember, this is the soft brace WITHOUT the splint/stick, wearing a hard brace while drawing can make the pain worse, the compression glove you ordered sounds like it'll work) -take breaks and do stretches! (for your body and wrists, sitting for long periods of time causes lots of strain on your body) -exercise (a big part of being able to draw for long periods of time is building up your body strength so that your body can handle sitting down for a strenuous amount of time, this is especially true if you draw and also game) -ice when you're not doing anything (don't stretch right after you ice, i recommend stretching then icing for about 15 minutes) -sleep in the correct posture (find a way to sleep so that your back and neck are straight, this personally helped me the most along with exercising a lot more)

A bit of a tip for coloring! When you’re coloring the subject/character, make the background grayish. If you want more warmish colors make the grey slightly red/orange, and if you want color colors go with blueish/purple grey. I also personally do my sketch & lineart with a grey background. Also you’ve made great progress. :)) keep going!

hey! as someone who as injured themselves through art -- i have tendinitis in both wrists from art and piano -- please remember to take breaks when you arm gets tired! its super important that you don't stress your wrists out too much and take breaks often (or at least try to haha). another plus to using your whole arm to draw rather than your fingers or wrists is that it naturally takes the stress of of your wrists :) your progress is super good, and i hope you continue to enjoy your art journey! take care of yourself for us :D

can i ask whats a tendinitis? google isnt giving me an answer ;w; ive heard that its quite painfuk and i assume its like a pain in the wrists or smth lol but idk overall
@nothisiskas
@nothisiskas 2 года назад
@@paulagribgulet if i recall correctly, tennis elbow is a form of tendinitis. essentially, its inflammation or irritation of your tendons, usually through stress or repetitive use. its usually a precursor to carpal tunnel syndrome, so i'm glad i managed to catch it before it turned into that. as for the pain, for the first few months it was pretty severe -- i could hardly write or type, and piano and drawing was pretty much impossible -- but after a lot of rest and patience it eventually died down. now, three years later, i still have spikes of pain, but its pretty uncommon.

HI DISH!!! a huge tip that helped me alot when i was a beginner was to sort of "freestyle" your art, you don't have to be so strict about what you do when drawing, smth else i can suggest is experimenting with body types and warmer colors!! diversity is very important in your art

3:17 I think this is becuase when you're creating it you have to be really focused on the details to make it look as good as you can get, and once the bigger mistakes are gone you just move to the smaller mistakes until the mistakes are so small you cant actually fix them, and its hard to know when to stop but when you do, you can look at the BIGGER picture and realize how amazing it looks despite the tiny mistakes

When it comes to making any "finished pieces" it's a big help for me at least for a rough sketch done with a say a color pencil brush. It allows you to be loose and have the drawing seem less stiff. And then take a pen or marker brush to do the line art if you so choose. Keep up the great work!🎉
@yakkyaro3353

You're doing so well and have progressed so much already, it truly is motivating me to draw all the things I wanted to but didn't have the time etc. There is one thing I want to mention about the drawing of your friend actually; it is a very common mistake so you shouldn't worry about it too much but I think it's a thing that could also improve your future drawings if done correctly, and that is - the placement of the eyes. People often draw only one of the eyes when the other one is covered by let's say hair, and while copying and pasting the eye you already drew isn't much of a problem, the pasted one wouldn't even fit on her face if you removed the hair. That's why it's very important to break down the placement of both eyes (doesn't need to be very detailed, it's about where you put it). You also want to go for the placement where there could be one more eye in-between of the ones you drew, but chibi anatomy is probably different, just don't make them too close :) Hope it helped
@snoofsnambag3505
@snoofsnambag3505 2 года назад
A tip: when you’ve finished learning the basics it’s useful to focus on every single part, like: drawing only heads, only eyes, drawing poses (without completing the character, to learn anatomy itself), drawing clothes for learning its shading etc This is a good thing for you, just to focus on one thing at a time (my sketchbooks are full poses and never finished mannequins)

what i love the most about this series is that it feels like blue period anime came to life. I LUV IT. I'm a pianist/singer and I'm recently learning to sing arabic which is my native tongue but it's very hard and very different to english but people told me I had a tone that sounded nice in Arabic so i'm taking my time and getting out of my comfort zone and learning each day . Arabic music theory and stuff is hard too and I have to take care of my voice and not push myself too.

Your doing so well! I love how your experimenting with different artstyles! And i feel your pain with your wrist, for hwne you get more comfortable drawing, practicing for 20mins every day really helps and you u dont have to strain your wrist/hands, just small bits each day where is alot more easier than going for multiple hours, if you soread those hours out throughout your day helps with wrist strain, but this just a personal thing that has helped me! Your beautiful and seem very very nice, please keep going and have a great day and stay safe

So a few art tips from a fellow artist.. 1. Look at references 2. When you draw eyes make sure the pupils don't look cross-eyed or etc try make both of them look the same way 3. When shading think about how shadows would look like in real life and where the shadows would hit That's all I could think of.

resting tip! (kind of, but for when u still want to draw) sometimes when my carpal tunnel flares up ill turn off "disable touch actions" in my settings and draw with my finger instead. it helps give my hand a break from doing the cramped pencil-holding position that worsens it in my case and forces me to draw with my whole arm than from the wrist. but ofc if ur wrist still hurts then defo take a rest, i just know how it feels to want to draw but the flesh is weak lol. love seeing ur progress and style exploration!!

The drawing turned out way better than I expected and I was very happy. But if it weren't for you dish, I would have never got myself to drawing anything that good. It takes a lot of effort for me to pick up my pencil and draw because I see other peoples art and feel like "It took me so long just to get to the level I am. My art isn't even that good. When will I ever reach that drawing level" and I'm just never able to do it. Now I've been able to kill that mindset and progress with my art! I cannot thank you enough dish

so i just watched all your four art videos and i wanna say that i am very proud of you! getting yourself up and beginning a 1 year challenge is so brave! as an artist i can say that both anatomy and shading is pretty hard to learn but the practice with putting a thought into learning will break all the walls! i believe in you and want to say that you are doing really well! though i want to point out that before you learn how to draw non-realistic things like chibi or alien or etc, it will be better if you learn anatomy of a human before it, so you can understand what are you deforming. as my mom said a long time ago, "before breaking something, you need to understand the thing itself" but i don't want to push too hard, you are really doing well! good luck and give your hand and back a relax time

I am doing an art study with my friends over the summer and a couple of the topics that we are going over is composition and doing perspective. One point perspective and two point perspective is actually really easy and fun to learn if you wanted some more ideas of things to do over the course of the year. Overall, your are definitely improving and I am very proud of you for working towards this!!!!

hiiiiiii i really loved watching your vids and this series. as someone who also likes to draw and is learning how to draw, this is really relatable. especially the game of layers. HAHAHAHA anyway, the way that you are happy with your progress also makes me happy in some way. this has also motivated me to find time and draw again. kinda hard for me that i have shaakkkyyy hands though but there are times i want to get my hands working on some artwork. thanks a lot for your vid and i just want to say to continue enjoying your progress.

its really inspirational to see you improving as fast as you have been !! as someone who has been doing art seriously since i was 10 (i'm 17 now, so ive been doing it for 7) i wish i was able to see your videos before taking art seriously, because i know they would have helped me with motivation. you're doing so well, and i can't wait to see your future videos and how much you'll improve in the future !!
