I always saw Arnold becoming the next Ms. Frizzle. I mean, she definitely had a huge impact on his life, and later on I think he'd want to give that experience of wonder and possibility to other kids. I can really see Ms. Frizzle handing over the keys to the magic school bus once she retires and Arnold taking on the new generation of students.
And we must have both watched it in the 4th grade because my 4th grade teacher made us watch ALL of the magic school bus episodes. Somebody quiz me to prove that I'm not lying!
I put them all neat and tidy together, like Tim and Phoebe are adorable together, Wanda and Arnold would be that adorable couple that motivates each other and are best friends, Ralphie and Keesha (I don't remember how to spell her name :,( ) would be that couple that were kinda enemies and then became best friends and then started dating
Actually, Arnold was greatly interested in rocks and knows a lot about rocks, he was a member of a rock researching and collecting organization acording to the settings. D.A. was interested in astronomy and maths.
Nyce :Since some of their parents have shown up. I think that D.A. and Wanda would be quite different from these fan made artworks. (p.s. D.A.'s not exactly a typical bookworm, she would become a wiki addict if born in late 1990s or later (always "according to my research" but much more like "seaeching").)
Hnery Wang you have a point. But I can't get over the fact that Ralphie is the one who didn't go to college. Plus I always pictured Keesha and D.A to grow up to be stunners. Wanda would be tomboyish cute and Phoebe a bit gangly but adorable regardless.
Nyce :I'm afraid that Wanda overdrew her physical strength and would be no more than an average Asian female (comparing her with someone I know in real life). D.A.'s actually really good at sports and arts, as it's known that her mother's good-looking, she would surely looks better than drawn, and with no glasses (a kid with good eyesight and enough outdoor exercise hardly have vision problems when grown up.). Keesha was the only normal kid in Ms. Frizzle's class (though she got used to all magic stuff quickly and tried her best to remain calm), so she might just be a nomal woman when grown up. Phoebe was a kind girl, she said "at my old school" a lot, but to just show her suprise or upset, not out of any kind of sarscasm. Ralphie was a daydreamer at times and was a great sci-fi fan, he was interested in sports but not outstanding in it compared with his classmates, however it was not revealed how did he do in certain subject.
Mine, too! I always related myself to her, because when I was in elementary school, I transferred from R.B.Wright Elementary(I was there one year, 3rd grade, to be exact), to G.E.A.R, and I was there for 4th and 5th grade, so I was little miss "At My old school,...", at G.E.A.R, because I tended to be a little more shy than the other students, and My "Miss Frizzle" was Mrs. Tugwell, who was my Science and Social Studies teacher in 5th grade, and I was the caring soul of the class! I loved it!
Steven universe ten years later if you haven't already. Particular human characters like Sadie, Lars, Connie, Onion, possibly Steven because he ages. Maybe even the gems because they do change their outfits/appearance sometimes!
Wow I am weirdly emotional about seeing the Magic School Bus kids grown up. Loved this show as a kid and now I'm in my early 20s too so this hit weirdly hard. Also why do I suddenly ship grown up Arnold/Wanda? Lol
I always felt Arnold and Wanda had some chemistry. They're the romcom archetype of a couple who hates each other until they realize they love each other. They exchanged gifts in the holiday special and Wanda gave up going to the ballet to ride the train with Arnold so he didn't have to spend the first night of Hanukah alone (or just with his dad) on the train visiting his sick grandma

Heh heh, nice. I think you've got them all down well, loved Hipster Tim. Never knew about the Tim/Phoebe ship until now, though if you ask me, it kind of makes sense, them both being the peaceful, loving types. I noticed that Phoebe would be paired with Arnold quite a bit (they usually did group projects together in the games, which I played a ton of as a kid), which always came off as a mismatch to me, seeing as Phoebe's a kind of "loves everything" type, and Arnold's kind of the opposite (he's pretty much afraid of everything). Though I guess there was also a bit of an Arnold/Wanda tsundere kind of thing suggested as well. It'd have been funny if you included Liz in this and just drew a chameleon skull. Though, then again, Ms. Frizzle's bus is capable of controlling time/ageing, so I wouldn't be surprised if your notion was correct, and applied to them both.
Janet always seemed to make it a point to hang around Arnold. I wouldn't put it past her scheming self to tell Arnold she is applying to one place, then show up in one of his classes, randomly.
I always envisioned Phoebe and Arnold would be together. Because he was so shy but he and phoebe would be put together and she'd be so supportive of him. Then when trouble hit, Arnold, knowing she has his back, would stand confidently and be ready to defend her. Of course this new self-confidence always seemed to make Phoebe get...well a little flustered I think. But I always imagined that in later life they'd end up together by going on some adventure together. Like scenario, phoebe has a cause to save the rainforest. Arnold goes with her because she's one of the few people that's really close to him. He's not sure what he can do, but knows he will do what he can. He starts off awkwardly going through the jungle, tripping over vines and making Phoebe giggle. But then they start to run into real danger. Jaguars, snakes, rivers and of course, eventually loggers. Arnold has an arc where he goes from awkward to heroic and suddenly takes matters into his own hands, he reacts to the danger and if he's unable to overcome, then he distracts or holds off the danger until phoebe comes up with a sound solution. They eventually end up falling for each other. Arnold because he sees she's a brilliant, passionate person with a heart of gold and Phoebe because she knows that Arnold is a solid guy, with inner strength, courage and will. And he's not as bright as her, but he's not stupid either. And he makes her laugh by being him. Anyway i imagine this scenario turns basically into PG Indiana Jones saves the Rainforest.
