You are a great teacher. I like how you not only show how to draw but you explain why you are doing something. It makes a lot of sense now, well done. Thanks for the video, keep up the great work!
This is very helpful because I ignore the rules which come with drawing realistic animals but I know now I must improve and whats even better is that you have physical taught me how to achieve this, thank you for sharing.
I loved your tutorial. You teach with firm simplicity yet finite accuracy. I enjoyed watching your fur balls come to life before my very eyes. Oh my! I am currently teaching a Unit (“Module” if you’re in the northern hemisphere), with my Year 11 students, on Endangered species. We are drawing with graphite and I will absolutely reference your video into my lesson plan tomorrow. ☺️ Thank you for your simple yet concise teaching.
Wonderful tutorial ! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together and to share. You are a great teacher. So clear and easy to follow instructions. And i love your soft clear voice 🙂
I’m a member of your drawing club. I’m new to it and drawing. I found this to be a great “warmup” before doing one of your more in-depth drawing club tutorials on drawing curly fur.
My day has been crappy so far...I haven't drawn in a while and my drawing skills are what I consider average...I came here and I'm already feeling better. Thank you😁
I know this is an old video but it's still very helpful. Could you do an updated tutorial on fur as well as a tutorial on how to do, black, white, and brown fur in graphite?
Thanks a lot for this video !! It was pretty easy to understand how to draw that texture but when we actually start drawing it , it takes a LOT of practice and patience to do that ! Nwayz, thanks once again , i am subscribing to this channel right away ! :-)
Leontine...I have seen MANY videos on how to draw fur but NONE have actually shown it like you have. I love how you draw the first layer softly then blend it a bit and then add more fur and give it dark highlights. I am going to have to give this trick a try. I agree with the other comments, you will either have to speak louder or get a microphone BUT your English is GREAT! I understood you but had a little bit of a hard time hearing you. I also didn't know I could cut my eraser to a point like that! Thank you!
Your video is excellent! If you are a female, I really think that you have a beautiful voice! Your English is so awesome! You helped me so much in drawing my fantasy creatures better! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
Dit is voor engelse vertaling zodat engels sprekende mensen dit kunnen verstaan/This comment is for english translation so english speaking people can understand [NL] Wauww Leontine, echt supererg bedankt voor alle informatie. Ik had dit echt nodig om te weten. Heel erg mooi :) / [EN] Woahh Leontine, really, thank you so much for all the information. I really needed to know this. Really beautiful! :)
Thank you for your tutorials. Love the music that starts around 9:00. I had gotten distracted and that caught my attention and brought me back to it. :)
I needed this because I saw a video of someone sketching their own “Little Nightmares” character. I thought that that was cool because I had just recently played a game called “Shadow of the Collosus” and I wanted to create my own Collosus, they are very hairy and I wanted mine to have a beard, this helped a lot, thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I always had problems with drawing long fur. Now I know how to do it right. I need to try this soon =)And also the short fur I'll draw will (hopefully) look better now. So...thanks a lot!
I don't see much use in making a whole separate video on how to draw another color of fur, because different colors and values can be applied to anything that is monochromatic, but I would like to see a curly fur tutorial!
this helped a lot! I'm actually thinking on adding drawing tutorials to my crafting youtube channel! if so, i promise i will shoutout you on any future drawing I upload! ❤️
Great video! Could you clarify the size of the mechanical pencil? In the video, you say it is 1.5 mm, but the pencil seems to show 0.5 on it. Also, did you say it had 2B lead? Thanks!
you have to like draw around the bones. so first you have to know which bones are where on the animal, you have to understand the anatomy. in this video the 'bone' is the circle, so i am following the circle to create the right shape:)
i watched this without sound, and it was great!! i learned a few things about fur and now i can draw more talented (im a visual learner) also my sound doesnt work
hi, this may be a strange question but what camera do you use to film this? I do draw too and I'd love to do HD timelapse videos 🙂 I'd appreciate If you could tell me what cam you are using :)
May you wright the tools you us in the description and where you bought it or where online they sell it the eraser I will love to know where you buy that
Hi thanks for the video... I have one question I want to make a cat portrait do I need to use a mechanical pencil only for that or can I use my regular chArcoal pencil? Please reply thank you so much :) xoxxo
