omg yes! you got it!! going to the library honestly solves all of my procrastination issues especially if I don't bring headphones, like what am I going to do watch videos out loud
thank you! thats the weird thing about posting stuff online or even just showing people what you make, people like things that you don't! also that makes me so happy to hear! have fun creating later!!!
Hey Sophie ✿ the feeling of actually knowing that we are overworking a piece while doing it is terrible!! haha I totally feel you on this. it can be hard to know when to stop sometimes, especially with watercolors because you can't erase and go back to the beginning phase. ♡ I love the compassion you are sharing towards making art, no matter if you enjoy the result or not. The amazing painter Chris Fornatero (@paintcoach) often reminds us the importance of honoring our practice, because no matter how the painting turns out, we sat and did the best we could - we are learning every time and that's the key!
thank you so much for your long comment, it made my morning! I think I have gotten used to painting with gouache so when I use watercolours right now, I have forgotten how important it is to let a piece breathe and let the layers shine through! I definitely enjoy sharing art on here, the good the bad and the ugly! on instagram I don't have the same openness but I appreciate how here you can be more candid about how you feel about a piece! I will check out the painter you mentioned thank you for the recommendation!
