Drawing with Markers and Colored Pencils - Beetle Illustration 

You are a seriously skilled instructor! I love the subject you picked and was blown away by how realistic you made it layering on the colored pencils! I have Prismacolor markers and colored pencils and now I have to try this! I honestly mainly use them for coloring, but I’d really like to learn to make my own art so that I can design stickers.

You really inspire me! I mostly draw people and some animals! But I definitely want to dry markers and pastel drawings! I've been using some sharpie pens and then going over with prisma pencils! But you amaze me and I'm learning certain things out of these videos! So Thankyou for them!

Very inspiring end result, and the process was very well explained. Thank you for creating these marker + pencil series. They result in such realistic looking artwork, but aren't so difficult to create as just using pencils.

Fascinating! I have a lot of alcohol markers as well as water based markers and a ton of colored pencils. I rarely if ever use the markers because I’m not comfortable using them. I can’t draw so I color in coloring books made for adults. I would love to incorporate both of these mediums together in my daily coloring. So far it’s just been too hard to make myself learn how. I love how the markers cover all the paper and leave no white dots to be seen. The vibrancy is amazing. I love using markers as I have arthritic hands and they are so much easier. I just wish I’d begin. Really.

*PLEASE HELP* When i use colored pencils over the markers, i can't seem to get white to show. The same with the lighter colored pencils over the darker markers. It just doesn't come through like these videos. Is there something i'm doing wrong? I'm using alcohol markers as the base. Then using the colored pencils on top. The pencils just don't stand out or come through at all. Please help me... i could really appreciate any input.
