I don't think Draya is lying. But most states require any agreements regarding real property must be in writing. It's called the Statute of Frauds and sounds like they are trying to argue an exception, but that rarely holds up.

To me, it sounds like drea couldn't get approved for the 3 million loan. Because that is the only thing that stopped the deal. Draya's case may be dismissed. In most states, a real estate contract has to be signed to be legally binding and enforceable. There are usually options for either party to get out of the contract before the sale as well. Oral contracts are not the way to go for serious things. There may be a number of reasons he didn't sign.
Re judge mathis divorce: Naw you aint "movin the line". It aint a "double standard". That woman brought 4 or 5 of his kids into this world, risking her life each time, & presumably did the majority of the childcare. Unlike the judge, her unpaid contributions to the marriage diverted her time & energy from a career outside the home, whether she has 1 or not. She deserves whatever she is entitled to under the law. These dusties shakin the girls' purses likely arent doing half of what Mrs. Mathis did.
Because I work in M&A finance, I’m in legal negotiations all the time so I know what’s going on with Draya. There clearly was a verbal agreement and because of the intimate relationship, they put off signing. There were obviously legal proceedings and negotiations, otherwise no purchase agreement or lease agreement would’ve been drafted in the first place. Draya was specifically careful when she said that a term of the verbal agreement was that she would buy the home “when she was ready.” Meaning she wouldn’t have signed if she wasn’t ready. Draya is definitely smarter than I thought she was
