75 with over 7k hours and zero issues. Purple glue. 45 years! Enough! Lot of similarities to corona.

I read somewhere the primer they used with the purple glue also contributed to poor adhesion. True?

Unknown, but you can see the difference ion the two bonding glues, I had always heard that the glass beads ion the glue were the wrong size. FYI

nowdays adhesives are better.

Roscoe my 1976 Tiger serial #237 has the purple glue except for the right wing which Ken replaced the first year the airplane was in service due to a taxi sign puncturing a hole in the wing. Its cool because I have the great Ken Blackman's name in my logs. FYI there is no delam going on on my Tiger lol.
