dream girls hair update + why it's not for me

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! Thank you so much for being patient with me. In this video I explain (kinda) how the Dream Girls Healthy Hair System did not work for me. I wasn't able to retain much length using this system because reducing moisture retention ultimately lead to my hair drying out which lead to more breakage than usual. My hair definitely has grown, but I can't attribute much to Dream Girls Hair. Initially the product worked great in my hair, but as time went on my low porosity hair lacked moisture and couldn't do what I needed it to do (a lot of bad hair days lol).
Since discontinuing using the routine in November (4 months in total using), I've switched back to my original low maintenance wash day routine, which I feel has healthily contributed to my hair growth and retaining moisture. I’m on my 6th month with Dreamgirls, and I’ve so much growth. I go to the salon in LA and I think that makes a world of a difference. I don’t neglect my hair. I wash it with the sew in and moisturize it as needed. I can’t see how much growth I have at my 1 year mark

@@brittneyharrell3224 did NOT like the salon. Was there on average for 6/7 hours, service isn’t very personable and leave out area had lot to damage. I didn’t notice growth but Not worth the price & times

@@ericamcclain1203 I had a good bit of growth from the 3xs I went but again you’re in the salon for very long and you have no personal relationship with the stylist. It’s a busy salon. I’d go back but maybe twice a year at most, I didn’t get growth though.

Subbed! I love your personality! I screamed when I saw that you had an update! I really like how you mentioned that people put a lot of hard work into creating their products and that we don't know what does on behind the scenes. Although it's ok to be skeptical, I definitely like the approach of giving them the benefit of doubt. People need to give smaller businesses a lot more grace than bigger companies!

Maybe your hair is low porosity. Someone in a different video said all of their hair products have protein in them

Omg this makes so much sense! Thank you for letting me know! I knew the deep conditioner did for sure, but it makes sense why my hair gradually felt like it was getting weaker and drying out

I had to substitute the deep conditioner with the Camille rose deep conditioner to retain moisture

I just subscribed to your channel. Your hair texture seems very similar to mine. I recently purchased those products but haven't used them yet. Based on your post they probably won't be a part of my regular routine cause I, like you, need moisture for my hair.

I'd say try it and see how it works for you! I did use completely as directed until November, but my hair type just did not agree with the products.

I feel like these products we buy aren't the same they do at the shop yall remember etae. How it was suppose to help with moisture and curl pattern while also being able to do heated styles and go back ....man of man...I should of stopped the at molasses treatment

I have this product! Some things I did not like and liked simultaneously. Do you know if this product is all natural or if it has chemical? I was wondering if it permed my hair somehow but it also kept my curls.

Hi! I’m not sure if it’s an all natural product, but I was told that each product in their line has a protein agent in it. If I overused the products, especially the deep conditioner, I would have fried my hair accidentally 😭

I used to use the TGIN product line faithfully, but after coloring my hair it needs way more support. I plan to transition to Wella Elements and see what different that makes in my hair
