While Bob Eubanks is without question one of THE legendary game show hosts of all time, my one pet peeve with him was when he would say to losing contestants "We'll see you again." How?!?!?! They lost!
The problem I have with the pilot's version of the endgame, and I'm sure you'll agree with me, is that when the time-release button is pressed, the doors immediately opened. The actual series' version was a lot more suspenseful (with the duh-duh...Duh-Duh...DUH-DUH).
After Bob Barker left TPiR in 2007, almost all prize cues from Score Productions were retired, although available through download. Group W/Don Reid Productions got permission to use a couple cues ONLY for the pilot episode. Same deal with the flute clock (Pyramid) from Bob Stewart Productions.
My initial reaction: "HOLY SHIT!!! THEY GOT IT!!!" Right afterward, it occurred to me that this is the Pilot Episode, so Big Wins are to illustrate the excitement for a possible sale of the show..
Recycled cues... recycled cues EVERYWHERE. I love love the 1974 reel of TPIR music, but hearing them on a show other than TPIR is AGITATING me!!! I'm hearing Rod Roddy announce over a cue from TPIR... on a show that's not TPIR. *sigh* Fanboy problems. Good show though. Thanks for the upload.
