Dream of a Rarebit Fiend is a film from 1906 directed by Edwin S. Porter: • Edwin Stanton Porter
The film is an adaptation of the comic strip Dream of the Rarebit Fiend by Winsor McCay. In this film (1:00), Porter uses superimposition and a rocking camera to depict a drunkard's dizziness, while Méliès-style effects show his dream of flying above a city.

sure, the trick is clear, the film is divided into two parts. At the top is the scene shot in the theater in front of a black panel. At the bottom is an aerial view of New York City. In those days they did not have drones, and they could not use Chroma Key
