I'm a one legged drummer myself and have been playing with one leg since 1989 I was in a horrific motorcycle accident when I was only 20yrs old and lost my leg alcohol related happened on APRIL FOOLS Day in Phoenix AZ but I can still play and this song is one my most favorites now and it is difficult to play along with but damn it feels good. It's a natural high loving it. Man, you are one of the best drummers in the world ! If not THE best !! Playing this song like it’s nothing, with one bass drum pedal and one tom… IN CRE DI BLE !!! Every drummer knows this is not an easy song to play, but you make it look soooooo easy. And how do you play so quick on the ride, with the drum stick between your index- and middle finger ?? This is the first drum cover I’ve seen in a long time that has made my jaw literally drop. I mean, I just started laughing at least 5 times throughout because oh my god. This is legitimately one of the most impressive drum performances I’ve ever seen! I can already tell I’ll be watching this a lot in the future. Absolutely insane!!

And even though I know you're going to nail it perfectly, every time I watch it I'm tense, on the edge of my seat nervous that you might slip up. That's how incredible this performance is. Now I know im a nobody, I have been a novice drummer for 20 years. Grew up in NYC, hung out with bands like Emmure, Endwell,HulksBlood,Martyrd...etc. I've played in so many local shows with so many talented musicians, and seen some of the most impressive drummers out there. People that should be famous for how good they are. El Estepario, my man, you have a rare dedication that most people don't. The fluidity and comfort you display through the song is absolutely amazing. You are a most impressive musician and fun to watch. And I'm going to take that trick of changing the grip on your right hand for the faster upbeat tempos on the ride.

Actually playing this song this way is a lot easier than how Mangini played it :) He doesn't have to move his arms/body a lot between different parts of the drum kit + he changed the drum fills to easier ones and added a lot of notes in-between which made the song groovy and it doesn't fit the vibe and lyrics. But of course is looks cool and is nice to watch and listen on a RU-vid.

Qué va no es lo mismo 😅😅😅 no sabes la cantidad de ejecuciones que tienen que sonar perfectas utilizando ese kit más bien lo que hace es obviar todo el trabajo de Mangini.

@@Totote423 Si hay covers más cuidadosos, no todo es rapidez ! No hay que saltar ninguna nota, prefiero que lo hagan con partitura !

@@epdrummers y cuando no hay partitura no se hace el cover o no hay la capacidad de sacarlo? algo que me gustuba de portnoy es que respetaba sus motivos y matices en vivo pero se dejaba llevar y lejos de ser un robot en disco era un robot alucinante en vivo, pero ahora todos son tan puros que no valoran y respetan lo que otros tienen como capacidad para hacer... la misma toxicidad que existe en los guitarristas existe tambien en los bateristas xD
