Allison-I just wanted to share a story on God's timing. I was like you-I tried to plan the birth of our first child. We waited two years after we got married to try to conceive. We had a house, my husband had a good job. In MY eyes, everything was perfect. I couldn't understand why it wasn't happening. We had just started to have testing done on why we couldn't conceive. THEN, 911 happened and our world was turned upside down. My husband was deployed for a year. We ended up moving and all of a sudden trying to have a baby was put on hold. God led me into teaching. He had bigger plans for us. I ended up having my first child 7 years after marriage!!! I now look back and completely understand why things happened the way they did. God always sees the bigger picture. Even though I thought the timing was right in MY eyes, it wasn't in God's timing. One thing about being a child of God: we can rest assure that His timing is ALWAYS perfect.

Sometimes it’s not a lesson or your fault, sometimes it’s simple and a biological reason the baby wasn’t going to make it or be healthy. Or bodies are created to be highly intelligent. But not knowing all the answers and loving and trusting God anyway is important. God is good all the time, and God is love, and Father God sent His Son Jesus because He loves us all so much. My mother spoke scriptures over her body and me before I was ever born. Your words have power and speaking Gods words back to Him is something He told us to do, plead your case with me, he says. Speak life over your body, baby, husband, and your future. Call those things that be not yet as though they already were. ❤

Oh yes dear Allison! Trust in Gods timing with your baby and family! With modern medicine, it’s easy to want to control “life”, but God is the true Giver of Life. I’ve have 5 babies now, and only 1 came expected (and not the first☺️). Keep trusting in God! Ps. My kids and I love watching your videos together. It’s always so cozy and fun!

Allison - My multiple miscarriages brought me closer to God as it highlighted that we are not in charge. Some people pull away from their faith under those circumstances and some people grow closer to their faith. Our journey to parenting was not at all what we expected when we took in my husband’s 16 year old homeless and addicted nephew. We became what he calls his Maunty and Duncle. That was in 2008 and he is a High School teacher now. It was not what we had imagined, of course we had imagined perfect babies, but parenting isn’t a perfect journey - ever. You and your husband have already begun the parenting journey, whether you had a baby or not. And you know that if you are blessed with a baby it will be loved. I wish you and your family all the best in 2024, and know that you will manage with grace whatever life has in store for you. You are a light in our lives, and a creative force. Sharing all of your sides, made you more human in our eyes. May the blessings you desire befall you all in good time. I am glad our support has meant something to you, as there are days when your videos literally and figuratively inspire me to bring light into my life and explore my creative side. Also, question for you. One of my goals this year is to have more "girl time" and plan some get togethers. However, as I've gotten older, I seem to have lost touch with friends as we have grown families and just did life! Where does one find adult friends? Just a note, since you don’t have much land- I would check with your neighbors and HOA before delving into beekeeping. If one of the neighbors is allergic it could pose a problem.

I was crying listening to you talk about your miscarriage. I had such a similar experience trying to control when baby was born and what month I wanted to get pregnant and lost that baby to miscarriage. Gods timing really is perfect because I’m sitting here on the other side of it nursing my rainbow baby crying as you talk knowing that he would not be here if not for my baby in heaven. 🥹 God’s plan is perfect and when you get to hold your rainbow baby in your arms someday it will make the pain worth it although you’ll never forget the one you lost. I feel the exact same about 2023. It was the year that brought me the highest highs but also the lowest lows, a lot of heartbreak woven into the everyday joy. I found out I was pregnant with our first baby, after 14 months of trying, on August 15th. 11 days later, I found out I was experiencing a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and bleeding internally 💔 we lost our baby that day and my right Fallopian tube. Within those 11 days, I experienced the greatest joy of my life (as all I’ve ever dreamed of is motherhood) but also the greatest heartbreak. Our journey to grow our family has been anything but easy. It has not gone at all how I expected, and has been such a tough lesson in surrendering and trusting God’s timing. Like you said, it’s not always easy and it’s hard to understand why things happened the way they did, but holding onto that faith and our trust in Him has been such an anchor throughout this season. Something I love about you, is that you also romanticize life and trying to find the magic in the little moments. This is something I strive for as well. And this year has taught me that joy and grief can coexist. Not an easy year by any stretch of the imagination, but grateful for the gift of our angel baby, however short our time together was 👼🏼 Praying our dreams of motherhood are fulfilled in 2024 🙏🏻

2024 has this vibe of being more wholesome and living in a simplistic way so I love that you mentioned doing more toned down hang outs. Prime example that it doesn’t have to be extravagant to be able to get the same benefit of the idea ❤ my goal is to not over consume or be over influenced to buy stuff. Lol staying off social media and being more present in my reality will be my goal so I can live that out 😅

I adore the way you romanticize the little things. It's truly beautiful. I want to virtually hug you. I know this loss has been so challenging for you and your husband, and I think it has been challenging for us to watch such a beautiful and loving couple struggle with one of the hardest loses. I loss my oldest full term back in 2012 and I gave up on life.. for quite a long time. Once I cleaned up my mental health and consumption and focused on allowing time to take place if and when another child would enter our lives, we got pregnant with our beautiful baby boy. We later had another boy and our wold is filled with so much purpose and joy! The time will come for you, but you are right, the timing is not for us to decide. Rest your body and mind❤ your time will come❤ I also am so proud to hear you are giving up on artificial scents! You'll find your senses high-end when they aren't so bogged down with fragrances! After the stillbirth of our first son in 2022, we welcomed his brother this past September. My goal for 2024 is to be the best mom I can for him and nurture our family by living out the fruits of the spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, & Self-Control ❣

Your time for motherhood will come. My husband and I tried for the first ten years of our marriage. With medical intervention I finally decided that I didn't want to do that anymore and we decided to apply for adoption. Less than a year went by when welcomed our beautiful 26 day old baby boy. He is now 38 years old and has a beautiful wife. I still sometimes wish that I was able to experience pregnancy but then I remind myself that if I had I wouldn't have my amazing son. Hang in there, it will happen for you. There is more than one way to create a family. Very best wishes for a happy, peaceful and joyful new year.
