We had the possibility to mount the brand new Campagnolo Ekar 1x13 group on the new developed Rennstahl Trail Gravel frame. The Ekar group comes as a pure single group and offers a gear ratio range of up to 467%, with 13 sprockets the gradation is very fine and even.
The German brand Rennstahl has dedicated itself entirely to the topic of gravel and touring bikes. To the two already existing Gravel model series Speed Gravel and Gravel now comes the Trail Gravel models. The Trail Gravel is designed exclusively for 29" wheels and takes tires with 45-55mm width, the geometry is based on modern mountain bike geometries and comes with a longer top tube in combination with a steep seat angle, flat steering angle and short stem. As with the Gravel model series, there is also enough space for mounting mudguards on the Trail Gravel. The frame also has solid eyelets for mounting luggage racks on the rear end as well as a lowrider on the front wheel. With a maximum load capacity of 165kg, this model is therefore ideally suited as a reliable travel companion for long tours with a lot of luggage.
Wir hatten die Möglichkeit die brandneue Campagnolo Ekar 1x13 Gruppe an den ebenso neu entwickelten Rennstahl Trail Gravel Rahmen zu montieren. Die Ekar Gruppe kommt als reine 1-fach Gruppe und bietet eine Übersetzungsbandreite von bis zu 467%, mit 13 Ritzeln ist die Abstufung noch dazu sehr fein und gleichmäßig.
Die deutsche Marke Rennstahl hat sich ganz dem Thema Gravel und Reiserad verschrieben. Zu den zwei bereits vorhandenen Gravel Modellreihen Speed Gravel und Gravel kommt nun die Trail Gravel Modelle. Das Trail Gravel ist ausschließlich auf 29" Laufräder ausgelegt und nimmt Reifen mit 45-55mm Breite auf, die Geometrie ist angelehnt an die modernen Mountainbike Geometrien und kommt mit einem etwas längeren Oberrohr in Verbindung mit einem steilen Sitzwinkel, flachen Lenkwinkel und kurzem Vorbau. Wie bei der Gravel Modellreihe ist auch beim Trail Gravel genügend Platz für die Montage von Schutzblechen vorhanden. Außerdem verfügt der Rahmen über solide Ösen zur Aufnahme von Gepäckträger sowohl am Hinterbau wie auch einen Lowrider am Vorderrad. Mit einer maximalen Zuladung von 165kg eignet sich das Modell also bestens als zuverlässiger Reisebegleiter für lange Touren mit viel Gepäck.
