Dreamcast Games! Mike Matei Live 

One reason I do these streams is to learn about new games so that I can get more ideas for potential J&MM videos. Those can be hard to record because I have to find things that can be shot with the limited time given

@@mikematei Shenmu is the best game I ever played. My house got broken into 15 odd years ago and they stole my Dreamcast. I was so close to finishing it too, I SUCK at stealth. PS you were the best Joker of all time! Marvel vs Capcom was probably the most fun fighting game I ever played. HUGE FAN!

Would be awesome to do all three House of the Dead games for James and Mike Monday!

@@mikematei You should play illbleed and Blue Stinger. Illbleed fits in with October and Blue Stinger is a Christmas game so December is perfect for that game. Both games are fairly short but in a first play through I guess they can be a little long if a person doesn't know exactly what to do in the first play through. Blue Stinger did release before Illbleed and it was made by the same people. The games don't play much alike but share similar graphics.

You're right. I played just GW 1 and there it is called medal milking, using the amount of enemy bullets and reflect them to destroy the enemy and then catch as much as possible medals to bring the score multiplier up and of course overcome some dangerous situations. 😊

I always have difficulties watching people play shmups I'm really good at. Watching Willie from Arcade USA play G-Darius with ZERO knowledge of the Alpha beam / Beta beam mechanic was literally driving me insane. He didn't look at ANY of my messages telling him how to play the game and eventually I gave up and left. It's just a thing with me I guess...

I had this resident evil rip off, blue stinger, NFL 2k, Royal rumble, and some weird dungeon rpg that had a mini game for the vmu, wish I still had that thing

Mad Catz controllers killed 3 of my dreamcasts don’t use them.....

I just played that for the first time a few days ago and man were some parts tough. I almost gave up, but I was so curious to see where the story was going that I toughed it out all the way up to where you have to fight that crossbow-wielding old man in the castle of that weird monkey looking nobleman. That fight is a bitch because of the respawning, heavily armored spear-men so I finally got a game over with no continues. I ended up looking up the history of the game and it turns out it was based off a graphic novel series and there were tons of cosplay pictures of the protagonist and I even saw a bunch of listings from people selling replicas of that giant fucking sword. Crazy, I never heard of this game during the Dreamcast's lifespan but I'm glad I got to check it out. I think Mike would probably hate it but it is challenging so maybe that would appeal to him. Don't know.

Snow game is D-2 maybe

Yeah I been using RGB for years on my consoles with my capture card and it's pretty great.

I actually played a lot of the ones you just mentioned in this stream.

Hi Mike check this Dreamcast games too like Sword of the Berserk,Illbleed,Jet Grind Radio,Resident Evil Code Veronica,Resident Evil 2 and 3,GunBird,Darkstslkers,Soul Calibur,Quake 3 Arena,Spawn,Nightmare Creatures 2 i play somedays of this games awesome games try it Mike is very fun to play

Yeah, I really enjoyed those games.

The red blood is unlocked after completing the game. same goes for the HoTD spinoff Zombie Revenge.

Yep, and it's also on 360 and PS3.

Even people who hate sports love NBA Jam: TE. (Mike would like it, IMHO.)

That's a key element to the game along with beam battling the bosses. Mike didn't seem to grasp any of that during his run. The game is a lot of fun, but you have to know the mechanics of it to get anywhere at all.

Want to explain the system? I found it weird

@@mikematei for triggerheart exelica, you have a grab button, I think it's the R button. (it's been a long time since I've played it) you have to keep pressing the grab button until you've successfully grabbed it. then, once an enemy is grabbed, you can make it turn around you and then throw it (by releasing the grab button I think) on other enemies, similar to how mario throws bowser in mario 64. you can grab most of the enemies on the game. the bigger they are, the longer it takes to grab them. if you throw an enemy (or something else) on other enemies, they take massive damage, so it's really strong against waves of enemies or some bosses. a grabbed enemy can also be used as a shield against enemies projectiles too. so it's both strong offensively and defensively. once you master the grabbing system, the game is really fun.

@@lecorbak I beat it without using the grab system and still had fun. Honestly I didn't know about it.
