She's done a few covers including Faded, Speechless, We all Lie, Exo's Overdose, etc She performed Overdose and two other live covers for a show called V-1, which I recommend you check out since they give a great show of her vocal flexibility (the clips from her performances are on youtube) EDIT: something else about SIyeon. She was on King of Masked Singer (which you may have heard of) and I would also recommend watching clips from that, or even the episode if you can get your hands on it. I don't know, I always like watching live performances of my favorite vocalists just to see how they handle the stage and the crowd, so it would be interesting to see your take on any of her performances. Finally there's singer who recognized their talent. 😭. If you check their live stage, they still sound same. They rarely do lip sync unlike other groups. Compare to other song from previous album/song, this Deja Vu song focus more on vocal, storyline and visual to blend well with symphonic metal rock to show off the epics of this music video. Fun fact: Dami, the one in the middle with the shorter, red hair, is actually the rapper. This is the first promo song where they've let her sing instead of rap, as if they really needed to show off any further how absurdly good the group's vocals are. Dreamcatcher is criminally underrated.

I think Dami is the biggest surprise here. We had never heard her sing in a title track. Of course she sings in a lot of bsides, but since her strong point is rapping, we thought she would never "risk" singing in a title track, and we were so wrong lol Im glad she is gaining a lot of confidence in her singing now... Also that falseto note she does at 2:04 is totally unexpected, nobody noticed it was her singing before we watched the performance of the song lol Dami has covered some very difficult songs in terms of vocal like Someone Like You, and the fact she can sing so well even if it's not her strong point amazes me. Please check out her cover for Proof of my Heartbeat Handong is unfairly considered to be only a base/sub vocalist but she is actually above that in my opinion. She is chinese and came to korea to become a musical singer, so before she got into Happyface ent. and debuted in dreamcatcher she took musical singing classes and even a few opera classes. Her voice is very light when she needs it to be, but she also can sing in a husky tone. It amazes me every single time. Jiu has incredible falseto notes and you could hear it better in a cover she released recently, of the song Honesty. SuA; is a box full of surprises, we usually say there isnt a thing she can not do. It doesnt matter if it's singing, dancing, rapping. She slays it all. Yoohyeon has interesting lines here. Most of her lines are not strong belted notes, like we are used to, but soft falseto notes. To see her how skilled she is in singing, please react to her cover of Secret Love Song! Siyeon is truly an amazing vocalist. And all 7 members are solo material on their own. You can't get a bad song no matter how you arrange them. its impossible to have a consistent bias in Dreamcatcher.
its easy to get distracted watching Dreamcatcher between their amazing vocals, precise choreo, stunning visuals (not just themselves but also the MVs settings). im glad you enjoyed them and hope you check out more from them. they are easily my ult kpop girl group.

Hope you check out their more recent songs like “What” and “PIRI”. They’re good in a sense that they divide the parts to their natural vocal ranges and o/c not giving them bubbly girl songs to start with. The girl with the deeper voice is actually their main rapper (Dami). The one (Handong) w/ “oh now, feeling this pain” is actually their 5th vocal in line more or less, she got the killer lines this time. Your bias pick is the main vocal (Siyeon). The queen (Yoohyun) and the deceased (Jiu) are the lead vocals. Jiu the soft voice usually gets the bridges and Yoohyun the build up to Siyeon. The one (Suah) who got kicked outside of the Palace does both rap and vocals, but is having more vocal parts lately; taking lines from both Siyeon and Yoohyun. At the intro the cutie is Gahyun who is last in line for now!
I just have to say it because she keeps saying how Siyeon is her bias, and a lot of ppl are also pointing out their own biases in the comments, but is there anyone out there that’s like me who can’t pick a bias!? Like I don't even know how they are expert in the first place lol. I have 2 teories 1) the judge only likes girlcrush/cute concept and only pop/hip hop things and DC is more rock. (Also they dont know how to compare rock with pop). 2) the company of Dreamcatcher is small so they dont want to give a win to a company that is super tiny
Well actually, even if they get 0 score from the so called 'experts', they still win the 1st place. Instead of zero (mininum), they deducted more points which seems to be negative points and robbed the title from Dreamcather and gave it to their favourites. The girl who opened the song is Siyeon, and she is in fact the main vocalist of the group. Their second best singer is Yoohyeon (the girl on the thrown at the end), whose good enough to main vocalist on a lot of other groups. There are definitely some girls in the group who have fairly unique timbre. This was much more of a story-driven music video for them. They typically show a lot more dancing as they have very creative choreography and really crisp execution of them.
They are so good at making you feel the emotions in their voices that even though I've heard this song 20+ times I can't help but to tear up and get goosebumps. No other song makes me feel this intensly it's crazy
The falsetto's girl in the bridge (JiU/Kim Minji).. just got an special clip, a Cover from Pink Sweat$ - Honesty and her voice was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. on that one, you should check it! Dreamcatcher always brings the vocals. They're also known as one of the best female groups in terms of dance because they have very challenging choreo. AND they were also voted as the 2nd most beautiful girl group of 2019 on Kville's YT channel (next to Loona) Vocals, visuals and dance.. as well as some of the best personalities (IMO) and yet people still sleep on them. Unreal.
If you want info about any group and the members you should go to kpop profiles, So just search up whatever group and then profiles and the first website that comes gives good info about their roles backgrounds ect.

As a reaction addict (mostly of nightwish, loona and dreamcatcher) I have two tips. First is as simple as effective, rewind a few seconds every time you pause! It's great to get back into the song and don't loose the vibe. Second, especially if you have a lot of technical comments, split the video in a reaction and review part. I liked it a lot when ReacttotheK did this. I think in between Umu even watched/listened a few times off camera taking notes. Then the review parts where you can pause, skip, rewind, repeat whatever part you want to comment on. Please react to more Dreamcatcher! I recommend all the MV's in order, but maybe the ballad Lullaby first. It has the member names in the subtitles and isn't so fast. Best to learn who is who and how they sound. If you want to react to something other than kpop try my other fave band Nightwish, a symphonic metal band with female vocals that just rule. Ghost Love Score (live on Wacken 2013) is my all time favorite performance, it's long but so epic 😍. If you haven't checked out Loona yet, react to the solos Let me in, New, Heart Attack and Love Cherry Motion. Or just have a marathon and watch everything, it's so diverse!

Love your comments about them. Dreamcatcher deserves the world but aren't as popular in Korea because of the rock element, their fanbase is more international. The girl at the start, Siyeon, is actually my favourite vocalist in K-Pop and i'd absolutely LOVE to see more reactions to them and her. She did a cover of Speechless which almost made me cry because her voice is so beautiful, I think you'd really love it. I recommend Scream and Boca (they don’t originally have HanDong because she was in China). These are my two fav songs.They did recently do a live of those songs that has Handong. Dami and Siyeon are my biases. SuA and JiU love to wreak me.

I hope that, since this was first posted, you have discovered them (well, Siyeon and Dami) singing a song called Shadow. It's part of an OST from a Korean TV drama called Dark Hole (it's about zombies) , there are two versions , the slow version is definitely the better one, when you hear it you'll really get an idea of how good a singer Siyeon is, her range is incredible.
